Probably the most emotional tribute ever done, and everything went right. Players wearing number 16 and Fernandez's name on their jersey's, little things like skipping over the baseline, the starting 8 lineup on the mound pregame, take me out to the ball game played as Taps on a bugle, pep talk on the mound, Mets players showing their respect, and Dee Gordon. What can you say about that? Stunning. Beautiful. Fitting. Classic. Appropriate. PERFECT in every sense of the word. R.I.P. Jose, your team was with you, and you with them.

You don't have to be a Miami fan to be extremely moved and beyond sad by everything that has occurred with this unbelievable tragedy. Living in the Boca area I'm from Colorado and a lifetime anything Denver fan, but I have nothing but respect for sports communities like Miami, Jose Fernandez you were a true legend, you will never be forgotten!! I can't believe this, too young to die, he was only 2 years older than me, something like this shows how quickly life can end, and how much we should appreciate it when we still have the chance!!

Condolences from minnesota. I dont even know what to say. The death of this superstar player and an even better person is just beyond sad. just crazy. i don't even know how these marlins players can even play baseball with this tragic event constantly on their mind. Hey, people die every day but when a promising young man dies too early and his parents have to bury him, it just breaks your heart.

This Giants fan was devastated to hear the news. I can't imagine what his family and team are going through still. The tribute was magnificent. I'm so sorry he left us so soon.

Jokerxo obviously you need nothing about Jose. He was Cuban. Would've voted for Trump. democrat party is turning socialist. He risked his life fleeting that shit.
