  • Want to get a little different look out of your truck? We show you how to remove the red gel from your stock Peterbilt emblems which will expose the chrome finish for a new look on your Peterbilt 389.

    I'm surprised more people don't do that. I did that in the 90's to my trucks and painted the inside chrome to match the truck, looks COOL. Drivers thought Peterbilt had made them custom for me. hehehe Keep up the good work on the channel. I'm the guy who suggested you polish the "Y" pipe on the exhaust, still waiting to see you do that.     You can also boil em in hot water for a bit if you dont have a heat gun or hair dryer

    Can also stick them in the oven get a little price started and used compressed air you can darn near get it to pop right off

    Maybe a stiff bristle nylon brush would remove those stubborn areas without hurting the chrome
    Just a thought

      you can do that, just need some liquid masking tape and a good bit of patience.

    Are the interior emblems the same?

    Is it possible to scratch the emblems with the screwdriver to the point it might rust later?

      Yes, you have to be careful not to apply to much pressure, But the chrome finish is pretty resilient.

    Use an O-ring pick or something like that.
    Borrow a dental pick from your local dentist
    Agree, don’t do it on the truck as you will definitely blister the paint. Then it gets expensive.
