14:10 Ty cut a school bus, flipped them the bird, parked sideways taking 4 handicap parking spots, closed the door on an older lady with a handful of bags, grabbed the last jar of jam that someone needed to make school cookies and stole a babys lolipop... That's the amount of awareness he's got.

Ty has regurgitated this gospel speak for years without ever applying any of it to his actions and way of life, completely devaluing it to a talking point that he’s used to shine good light on his name when he’s done something wrong.

There is no way JGR will park the bosses grandson this weekend. What will happen is that the debts rung up during the year will come due. Could he win the championship straight up this weekend? Yes, definitely. Will he? He has a line of people, including some on his own team, that will make sure he doesn't. The beginning of the end at JGR under the current leadership may have already occurred. JGR is in a tight box. Poor judgement by the principals put Ty in the driver's seat (nepotism). Poor leadership resulted in a failure to get Ty on the right path before he made a move that SEVERELY damaged both his career and JGR's prospects for the future. If they keep him, they will lose fans, sponsors, drivers, and crew members because no one will want to be identified with Ty and the team or work in that environment. C-Bell is gonna be their only driver who doesn’t get booed every week. They’re already having problems with getting sponsors. At some point you’re gonna have to try and sell those sponsors on your drivers over the Elliotts, Larsons and now Chastains of the sport. The thing that I see, is that drivers and owners forget that they're actually driving the SPONSOR'S car. We're already in an age when you no longer have a full year sponsor. They're getting harder and harder to find. There's not a line of sponsors waiting to get in the sport anymore. Fact is, Joe Gibbs doesn't go racing without a sponsor. Sponsors don't pay for torn up race cars, especially from a teammate. If the owners can't handle their drivers and sponsors can't see their cars finish the race because of bad attitudes, retaliation, and video game antics, the sport has a very big problem. The problem will come from lack of sponsorship and therefore funding. The best thing that NASCAR can do is be serious about enforcing discipline and competition across the board.

Why you think Brandon Jones is going to jr motorsports? Same reason he was at gibbs for 8 years and only won 5 races while the organization won 195, because his father owns Rheem and sponsors half of nascar, it dam sure doesn't have nothing to do with talent.

Ty took that comment out of context to rationalize his being a bad teammate and winning the race by any means necessary. Like Steve said: his family name is on the building so if it's not internally and externally handled quickly and correctly, JGR will have some serious perception problems to overcome for a long time.

Great insight Jr., as usual….as for what’s going on inside the Ty Gibbs camp, Joe Gibbs’ interview was very telling. He said absolutely nothing concrete about how they were handling Ty…He talked for 5 minutes saying nothing….To be fair, I didn’t expect him to come out and give us all the details, but he could have been a little more forthcoming about his thoughts on the move and how he planned to address it.

I know the ship has sailed far and long for this, but the importance of teammates used to carry far less weight in NASCAR. I remember back in the day when NASCAR drivers and teams would make fun of Indy and F1 teams for doing things like giving up spaces or something to help a teammate out. When the green dropped, the only car that mattered to a NASCAR team was THEIR car, not the one they park next to in the shop.
I also think the elimination/playoff format has contributed to this. Fighting tooth and nail for every win and every position in every single race is what mattered, not doing calculus on how many positions the teammate needs to secure a spot in the next round, and how many I can give up to help him out.
Again, this is all "old man shakes fist at clouds" at this point. They're not going to roll anything back like that. There's too much money involved now (even though the fanbase is shrinking). But this isn't a discuss that would have happened 20, 25, 30 years ago.

Keep in mind Joe has been putting up with Kyle for years. These actions are nothing new for that group. Nothing will come of it because NASCAR needs a bad guy. Dale Sr. Did something in his era that causes 2 things today. The bad thing is they all want to be Earnhardt. The good thing is they all want to be Earnhardt. The one things they don’t realize is that he had something they don’t have….. respect!

The hypocrisy at JGR is incredible. They "talk the talk" but they certainly don't "walk the walk." Ty Gibbs continues to make the same moves so he obviously hasn't learned from his past actions. What he has shown is that he does not have the temperament nor the maturity to make the move to the Cup level. And probably shouldn't be allowed to drive at the Xfinity level. What he needs ... is for someone to take him behind the woodshed and give him what my Dad referred to as ... "the benefit of discipline."
Joe Gibbs won't do it ... but what should happen is for Ty Gibbs to be parked next week. Just a shame that there's no mechanism for Brandon Jones to take his place.
