    I drank beer every day for almost 23 years…from Miller High Life to the craftiest IPA’s, which I drank exclusively for the last few years. When I decided to quit drinking, a client gave me a Run Wild IPA by Athletic Brewing Co and it really does it for me. But still, I miss the variety, so this video was awesome! Can’t wait to try all your favorites!

Get to enjoy having no empairment to your performance while still having the psychological comforts. I go 0% only so i don't have to worry about it interfering with medication or needing to drive. My top 3 to date are Sam Adams Just The Haze, Lagunitas IPNA, and Crux NO MO. Thank you for the great review. • @igloo36
      @igloo36 Год назад

      @@HunterJohnson77the point is there are a lot of people out there for a plethora of reasons (personal choice, allergies, medical conditions like liver issues, heart issues, not wanting a hangover, wanting to DD, etc.) that still want to feel included when socializing with friends and family and still enjoy the taste of beer and don't want to drink water or soda or other alternatives. Alcohol consumption is dropping and non-alcoholic options are becoming increasingly popular and I love that videos like this are supporting it. If you drink, that's wonderful but why condemn others for wanting to be included as well.

    Warsteiner and Kaliber and a group from Brew dog could be done. Note, Erdinger is a wheat beer and you grouped it with the pilsners. Good job. Oh, where is the Sam Adam's NA?
    Note: None of theses are .5 beers. They have to be less than .5 abv in order to be sold as NA's. Most are 0.4 and the 0.0's are usually 0.03. They all still require you to be carded in Pennsylvania because there is still some alcohol in them. Doesn't matter how little, as long as it is there.

    Never had Buckler. It's not sold in Holland anymore since the early 90's. After jokes on national television in a New Years Eve cabaret performance the sales plummeted and Heineken removed the brand a couple of years later from stores alltogether. I also never heard of the Clausthaler brand from Germany. Looks like all early brands for non-alcoholic beer were just a bit too far ahead of the curve. They must have been able to improve the taste a lot since then. These days there are so many good non-alcoholic beers on the market. A couple of great IPA-style beers are availible as well, from Holland, UK, Belgium and probably US. Will buy the Langunitas IPA if I see it around :)

    I was drinking budweizer zero only until I found out the store that sold it actually had other zero non alcoholic beers. I was looking for something with more flavor and bubbles and Stella Artois was the only other one they had that was Zero and not 0.5%. Stella's taste like the real thing. Flavor and bubbles. Thats another one thats hard to tell that its not alcoholic. Definitely better than budweiser 0.0. But its a malt liquor so i'm thinking most of the malt beers would have more flavor

    • @TheWeePearl
      @TheWeePearl  Год назад +2

      Stella is really great! I am actually putting up a new video soon with more fall & winter beers/ mostly stouts and brown ales. Im noticing a lot more depth of flavor in these styles.

    Im into non alcoholic brews. I'll need them come summertime. I havent had sharp's in years. I've had o'Douls amber. Clausthaler original. Heineken 0.0 a couple of times. I never had Budweiser 0.0 but Im on a mission to try that. What gets on my last nerve is how they never sell Non alcoholic brews in a 24 pack. Just sixers and 12 packs.

    • @TheWeePearl

      @goodbyeseeyalater Год назад

      @@TheWeePearl yes. I wouldn't mind a 24 pack of Budweiser 0.0 or Heineken 0.0 in cans or bottles. Heineken 0.0 is popular but slightly expensive at $9.99 plus tax for a six pack in bottles. But yeah,non brews for next summer 👍👍. It's better to have a clear head than a foggy one.

    Really great review! Thank you!
    I drink Athletic Free Wave at the moment but the NA options around here have been really limited. Now that the supermarket suddenly has a wider variety--I was very much in need of a review. (Non alcoholic beers can be seriously disapointing and I didn't want to spend a lot of money experimenting. Thanks, again!
    I don't fall into the non-drinking category but my alcohol sensitivity has increased in recent years and I'm hoping that my favourite pubs will start to carry non-alcoholic beer--so I can try a promising looking strong beer, then switch to non-alcoholic for the rest of the evening. Or have two medium to low alcohol beers, then switch.
    PS--I was not raised in the US so, to me, soda is a children's drink--I dislike the sugar!

    As an army brat who spent my formative high school beer drinking days in Germany, I never developed a taste for American mass market beer (Bud, Miller, Blue Ribbon, etc.). They all tasted horribly thin - no body or flavor. I’d become spoiled. The American Craft Brew renaissance is to my mind one of the greatest things to happen in the area of food and bev appreciation in this country in the last 25 years. Three years ago I decided to cut back on my alcohol consumption for health and age reasons and I started looking around for good N.A. beer. I’ve tried many different offerings. Most were crap, but I found 3 that I think have no real fall off in taste and satisfaction compared to good quality regular beer. These are Clausthaler (original), Pauli Girl and Becks. Virtually everything else, to my taste, fell far behind and I include Heineken 0.0 in that, which is just too thin and tasteless for me (note that I like regular Heineken ok). So I was very pleased to recently discover a couple of good American N.A. offerings have hit the market: Best Day Brewing makes two IPA styles that are outstanding - West Cost IPA and Hazy IPA. I’ve also tried several offerings from RationAle which were quite good. Drink up!
