This beer is actually very very good. I am someone who doesn't drink alcohol but likes the taste of beer. Alcohol is hard on the waistline and at 43 I need to be conscious of this.

Surprisingly, after watching this segment on the Wall Street Journal, I went out, and I tried this non-alcoholic beer. I went to a Citarella in Southampton, New York, not so far from where I live. I do prefer to craft beers, but this is in a class by itself. The IPA has a nice fruity flavor and the hoppy-ness of a lite IPA with alcohol. Wow, I can't believe I missed the boat from the beginning with this product!!!

Very odd, but in 2018 I believe the German Olympian team drank like 5000 gallons of nonalcoholic beer, and salt used to be put in beer to help with the harsh commercial taste of beer after prohibition according to Google’s ai. This could help them compete in a new category altogether fighting against Gatorade and Powerade
why would people use artificial sweeteners, when they are avoiding sugar. Why consume something that tastes the same. ? Or decaf coffee when avoiding caffeine. Etc. Allso beer doesn't taste like alcohol. Everclear like alcohol.

If it's non alcoholic somebody forgot to tell the retailers. Some states still require you to be 21 to buy non alcoholic beer simply because it still has like 1% alcohol. So I can't just go buy it without an ID.

Maybe my expectation was too high, but Athletic beer doesn't taste good at all. It tastes very flat. It lacks umami flavor that is present in pretty much all decent beer.

I wouldn't order it when I'm out but I definitely buy it at the store. I'd say maybe 1/4 of my friends regularly drink NA beer. It's really nice after a workout when you're still a bit dehydrated. Or if it's a little close to bedtime and you wanna drink a beer without affecting your sleep quality.

In counties like Germany and Spain non alcoholic beer has been over 10% of the overall alcohol beer market. France it's already 5%, the US is about 2% but can see it being 10% of the overall US beer market in 4-5yrs
Americas relationship with alcohol and demonizing of other drugs to include nicotine still amazes me. Athletic really lead the charge for a sober market and alcoholic companies started to figure out the money in NA.
Its funny because even though nicotine is looked down upon, it's had a resurgence through vaping and pouches, to the point where it feels like just as many people do those things as there were cigarette smokers before 2015.

I’ve largely cut out alcohol in favor of those THC infused non-alcoholic drinks, a little buzz and no hang over is perfect

This is absolutely an ad. I've never seen a single person in my life order or drink this beer. There is no non-alcoholic beer revolution.
I wouldn't order it when I'm out but I definitely buy it at the store. I'd say maybe 1/4 of my friends regularly drink NA beer.
It's really nice after a workout when you're still a bit dehydrated. Or if it's a little close to bedtime and you wanna drink a beer without affecting your sleep quality.
Well if this guy says he hasn't seen anyone get this drink then clearly wsj is making up the numbers. No other possible explanation.
@@alexmodnueldo8493both can be true. Definitely seems like it paints this specific brand in a very good light. Either way, having 1/100th of alcoholic beer sales isn’t a revolution by any means. Even at the current unsustainable growth rate it would takes decades to get close. Once it cracks 10% of regular beer sales maybe we can talk.

In counties like Germany and Spain non alcoholic beer has been over 10% of the overall alcohol beer market. France it's already 5%, the US is about 2% but can see it being 10% of the overall US beer market in 4-5yrs

Americas relationship with alcohol and demonizing of other drugs to include nicotine still amazes me. Athletic really lead the charge for a sober market and alcoholic companies started to figure out the money in NA.
Its funny because even though nicotine is looked down upon, it's had a resurgence through vaping and pouches, to the point where it feels like just as many people do those things as there were cigarette smokers before 2015.
@ no kidding. But the same arguments of making it too appealing to kids doesn’t apply to alcohol. Even though alcohol is served in any color or flavor under the sun, has more of a hepatic cancer risk than smoking does lung cancer, and is advertised publicly to all ages, it remains a golden child.
Athletic only makes NA beer, so you think it’d be good but it’s pretty mediocre. There are so many better options for NA beer.
