- X2 is definitely a huge improvement from the first X-Men. The combat choreography was a lot better, you get the see the X-Men truly utilize their powers a lot more in this one, and I liked how they all worked together at the end to save the mutants. Overall this was a fun movie to watch and I can't wait to see The Last Stand ☺️. Hope you guys enjoy ❤️.

Best X-Men movie. This one and Days of Future Past are up there.
I have heard a lot of praise about Days of Future Past and I am very much looking forward to seeing it, but X2 was a huge jump from the first X-Men. This movie is great 👏
@@novapapash X2 as a title was deliberately chosen. The film only went by X2 in the states (and Canada). The "X-Men United" subtitle was primarily used for other territories.
By this time X-Men had obviously been released, and broke several records, including biggest opening weekend for a non-sequel (onky beat by Mission Impossible 2); and Raimi's Spider-man in 2002, which surpassed that one (opened to $114Mil opening weekend). So the studios had huge confidence in the genre by then and the budget was increased from the first one ($75Mil vs $110Mil for this one). So "X2" is x2 as good, twice as big, double the action, etc.

In The Comics,Stryker wasn`t Wolverine`s creator,instead it was a mutant-hating mad scientist named Professor Thorton/Hudson depending on the continuity and his more conscientious yet still corrupt lab assistant and State Department liaison Dr. Abraham Cornelius.(Who does appear briefly as one of Stryker and his military buddies` lab assistants in "X-Men Origins:Wolverine"(Both the film and video game.William Stryker in the Comics was basically Fred Phelps if he hated mutants instead of gay people.(LGBT,social justice and civil rights coding in comic books is not a new thing as much as right-wing media likes to pretend it is.)
