I am new to animation, had flipa clip like 2 yrs ago, did some stupid animations and stopped. I was searching for something good but I dont have much money so not so expensive. There is no symbols in Callipeg yet. Maybe some day, thank you for your suggestion!
Implement Camera layer, and symbol system, It's just taking the cycle and adding the option to allow the keyframe you want to be displayed on the timeline to be chosen.

ok i have been into animation for so long but never knew how to start, it sounded so complicated , but honestly your fluid app and good explanation helped me get started and im LOVING it. however i cant really draw and im not into it , so what other stuff can i use it for ? im currently doing logo animation only
Thank you! It can be used to do some abstract animation, or add some animation over video clips,… you can really do anything. ☺️

@@Callipeg Hi , once again this is a great traditional animation app , use it a lot, but miss a few things like layer masks(this would help a lot with shading) and some kind of a light table / reference layer, you know when you can can choose a ref image of a character proportions and scale transform it and then reset those transformations , similar to reference tool but as an overlay layer on a canvas. Thank you.
@@animatekoiThank you! Regarding masks it needs a change in the structure of the render path to be done properly so we are still developing this part.
Importing an image and using a transformation layer might be useful to achieve that "reference layer" effect. Do you have an example of that kind of tool in another software so we can understand what you need?
Lately, we’ve been trying to use the curves editor for the transformation layer, but it keeps lagging us out. Do you know why it’s doing that? It didn’t used to do that before.

How do i exceed the set 24 frames? Theres this red bar that stops at the #24 and my animation wont play further than 24 frames. What am i doing wrong?
You can long touch on the red marker, which is the Mark Out point and drag it where you want. You can also double tap on the ruler at the top of the timeline at tap OUT to set a Mark Out marker.
Yesterday I bought Callipeg Permanently(I am a Procreate user).
1. Is there any Ellipse function to make a shape perfect?
2. Why can't i constantly go back to the previous layers by placing two fingers on the canvas?
Hello, to make circles you can use the shape tools as described in the brush section of the tutorial. What do you mean by « constantly go back to the previous layers »? Do you mean flipping the sheets? If so it is with three fingers. The two fingers gesture is to undo, or to display the floating menu if it’s a long touch.
Hello I’ve had this for about a year now and I love the app! I am looking to upgrade from a subscription to actually buying the app but I do not see any windows inside the app with that option. I only get the notification that it’s time to renew my subscription. How do I go about buying a full license for this app on iPad?
Hello, you have to cancel your subscription first, and whenever it has ended you will see the Welcome panel again when opening Callipeg (with the Buy options).
Be sure to not uninstall Callipeg along the way, it would delete all your shots.
I advise you to regularly backup your Callipeg files (.peg) by exporting them outside of the « On my iPad > Callipeg » folder.

After verification, we did address this issue in the beta and it'll be fixed in the upcoming hotfix update. It happens only when brush smoothing is at 0 so for now you can set it to 1 or above and it will work.
Great update! But is the AE JSON export broken on this update? Imports aren't coming in right... (using the v3 script).

Excellent tutorial. Would it be possible to import Procreate brushes into Callipeg? It would be cool if the texture could be an imported image, the way brushes are made in Photoshop.
Hello, for now it is not possible because there are less brush settings in Callipeg. We have to build more settings to allow that kind of import. But we want to study this at some point! For now we are focusing on developing Callipeg for Android tablets.
Can you key frame perspective shifts / warp?

Hello, Callipeg can run on any iPad using iPadOS 16 or further (and it requires an Apple Pencil). You can try it for free for 7 days to see if it suits your needs. 😀
Hi i hope anyone will see my question: is it possible to put sequences into other shots in callipeg? Like importing a shot with all the layers into the other one? Hello, after the 7 days free trial you have to either subscribe monthly, yearly or purchase the permanent access as a one-time payment to continue using Callipeg.

Can I change the speed of certain frames?
You can double tap on a sheet then extend it with the dashes (or use the time icon in the menu which appears at the top of the timeline when one or several sheets are selected).

Hello, there is no text feature yet in Callipeg. The best way is to import png images with your text.

How do you copy n paste selections from one layer to another?
Hello, you can use the selection tool, then long touch with two fingers to display the floating menu: from there you can tap the copy icon, go to the sheet you want and tap the paste icon.

Hello, what do you mean by flip a layer? Transform horizontally or vertically several sheets? You can select multiple sheets (tap then tap and drag), tap transform icon, then flip/mirror with the dash icon in the floating bar on the side.

Hello, are you using an official Apple Pencil? Callipeg is currently only compatible with the official Apple Pencil. You can go to the Settings, Canvas tab and Enable Finger Drawing to see if your third-party stylus is detected as a finger by the iPad.

Callipeg has come a long way, since its first release. Have been using it as a hobbyist ever since.
The only thing I would prefer is if you could get an option to put the timeline on the top.
Sometimes, the tip of my pinky finger hits it, after I lift the Pencil. Hiding it via the top button can get tedious and changing its size can get a bit disorientating. Is there a gesture to hide and show it? That would also help a lot instead.
