SO WONDERFUL AS ALWAYS!!!!! Thank you for my favourite Brahms and for his famous well-known piece in an excellent your rendition, of course, my new "like-thumb up-upvote"43 for your great performance and I added this video to my playlist "My Favourite Classical Music", again my best wishes from Poland, have a nice weekend. Joanna
Hello Joanna! If you are in love with this piece, then you might be interested in the original version of it: ruclips.net/video/l5-6jfE-YcA/видео.html This dance is by Béla Kéler and is titled "Bártfai emlék" - he originally wrote it for piano 4-hands (same as Brahms afterwards), but he also made an orchestral arrangement of it. Brahms pretty much copies the a-minor section of Kéler's piece and transposes it into g-minor. Brahms probably thought it was a folk melody, but Kéler apparently reached out to him in order to object to his composition being published and sold under Brahms' name. There was nothing he could do though, so pretty much everyone today thinks that this melody is by Brahms (or that it is a folk melody).
@@gergelykiss Thank you for an interesting amazing detailed info and for the link to the original version of this piece, my best regards from Poland! Joanna
I know it's not the best approach but it would really interest me to know how difficult you would consider this piece and to which skill group you'd suggest learning this to (beginner, intermediate, experienced etc.)
@sweet pie I am not Stanislav and he is modest....he may not say it like this. :). He has played his whole life, studied in music school his whole life, earned a master's degree in music and plays hours per day, along with being born with exceptional talent...I think all we can do is keep practicing and do our best. This man is exceptionally dedicated and his whole life is piano, please be kind to yourself and don't compare haha
Be sure I was not comparing myself and I'am not looking for an easy way Do to his great experience I thought he can give me an advise ,like a smart way to practice this particular piece . and I got an advise "to work harder"
@@taharyasmine5944 I should imagine hands separate first slowly. Fingerings is all important try not to use weaker fingers like pinkie. Experiment with the right fingerings suited to your hand I will use different fingerings to Stanislav as I have smaller hands. He has a huge span. On the semi quavers use dotted rhythms. Stacatto etc to get evenness. Isolate tricky parts for intensive practice. Repeat a group of bars. Start from the end? So as not to fall apart halfway through etc
Thank you my friend! :) I haven`t played it.. don`t have the score for it sadly. I will put it on the list for a future video for sure! :) Thanks for the suggestion :)
@@StanislavStanchev I see ! But that was more of an ironical suggestion, this Cziffra var. is really technically demanding, but if one day you've got both time and desire you'll make it without a doubt !

nice work! but i would like to ask some questions, i am not really advanced, you could call me a beginner so i am really having some trouble with the 47th and 48th measures. i dont really know how to play them. there is a little note with a scratch/line on it in the 47th measure, what does it mean and how do i play it? also isnt there more notes than there should be in the 48th measure? also in the sheet music there is a little '5', i believe that it has somethingto do with it, anyways i would be pleasured if u see this and answer!
The small note with the line at 47th is like an ornament. You play it fast before the main note. 48th bar with the "5" on top of the 5 notes means you have to play 5 notes for the beat. Best wishes!

Why did you play brahms
