you can dissolve that tap out with alum. takes awhile but it works great, secret is to keep it a strongish solution and keep it quite warm NOT boiling. if the bubbles stop round the tap then add more alum powder. It will save you having to remake your ali base.

Gun Brass is wicked material nearly as bad as copper to machine. I like the Base prototype looks like a ships engine bed stringer
always the last hole, never fails. Nice job. If you have a TIG spot a weld on the Tap I do find it works 90% of the time
