This is some amazing footage. I will always have a soft spot for the caracara as part of one of my old jobs was to work with one. Her name was Zena and her and I shared a special relationship. I would do shows with her for the masses and she actually adored the limelight and being a semi-celebrity. The crowd would clap and cheer when she did her tricks and I could tell that she really did appreciate their admiration. Some people think that they are a disgusting animal because they eat the babies' of other animals and birds but really they are just doing what comes naturally to them, and I don't think it's fair to blame them for that. Every now and then I sit and ponder about what Zena may be doing these days.... I often wonder if she misses me.
lol, they mean this region is going to get flooded soon (by seasonal rains), not the ice caps melting. All the animals living in this region know how to handle this. Source: lived there.

AT Games Im 15 and I only got it cuz I went working with my uncle at a food packaging company. we packed corn standing up for +10 hours a day so I earned it myself not like everyone else who gets it free from their parents
I wish my 15 year old would have earned his ps4 that way. His room is full of game systems, smart TVs and laptops but I can't get him to do 15 min of chores. He's a great kid, but spoiled rotten. You keep working hard to get that stuff, bud. It means so much more with that kind of effort!
Beautiful video, I can remember this segment very well from the TV. I watched this series a few months ago. The caracara is one of my favourite birds of prey.
Am I the only one who feels for the fish? This creature worked so hard! It developed lungs, it made a burrow to live through the dry season. And now it is eaten!
But the smartest and toughest one will survive and generate new baby fishes that will make it through adulthood and become harder to catch. This is evolution and survival of the fittest.
Now imagine if those Caracaras were nine feet tall with beaks capable of severing the spine with a single slam. Yah, they had relatives that large once upon a time, and they were a real Terror (Bird) in the ecosystem
Dat bird just chillin going for a ride on that Capybara
Kyle Broflovski that's the chill i aim for.
Capybaras seems to have a weird "connection" with birds. There's a lot of photographs showing this

3:12 Couldn't have chosen a more depressing note to end on. Thanks BBC.
At least it's not what Gus does to the coati in Better Call Saul
I think they mean the monsun rains coming, not the poles melting .

Coati: Mmm, what a delicious fish!
Caracara: *I'm about to end this man's whole career.*
Caracara: Just wait five million years, boy. Then not only will I take your meal, but you'll become my meal.
Gus Fring had a nice pet 🔥✨
Caracara stole my bike.
Was it black?
_"A mob of caracaras gang raped a group of women today."_

The women were said to have hurled racial slurs like _"no one should be ashamed of their race,"_ and _"race is divergent."_
It’s actually called carcará
Perfectly written soundtrack.
2:18 best part
That stork got a free boat ride.
In the desert here in Tucson northern most limit to their range uncommon

Am I the only one who feels for the fish? This creature worked so hard! It developed lungs, it made a burrow to live through the dry season. And now it is eaten!

Very cute animals
Again awesome shots man the surfer 😂
I’d love to have a coffee there in the morning watching the goings on.
Cool. But where's Attenborough??
Rooting for the Coatis the whole time.
The Coatis are Cuties
2:19 that bird is boss
2:09 they see me rollin'
Aww, when that bird rode on the coati's back.
That was actually a capybara. :3
That caracara looks too pretty to be a scavenger. XD
it's dei, just dei
Caracaras are actually predators similar to some hawks.
CargoRay hehehe, i meant when one say "scavenger," "pretty" isn't the first word you use to describe it... and the caracara is a "pretty" birb.
Bk Jeong the video described it as a top scavenger so i assumed it was. Heheheh sorry.
CargoRay it's okay. Hahahaha. Have a nice day, dude!
probably plays a similar role to seagulls who are both scavengers and predators
I saw a Coati rip someone’s pizza up on holiday and take it away. Then an Iguana came and tried to get some to.
We get caracaras all the way up here in Texas, they're cool to see
But this one's a little smarter. *lures Caracara into the trees for an ambush and eats it*.
Southern crested caracara (Caracara plancus), South American lungfish (Lepidosiren paradoxa) and South American coati (Nasua nasua)
Capybara's are so cute 😭
2:18 lolll 😂❤️
That bird looks like death out of supernatural
Remarkable
Never underestimate the intelligence of birds.
How is an egret just cruising on a capy’s back😅😅😅
Two animals I didn't know about.
Bunch of them here in Brazil
It's cool that you can tell this bird is a scavenger , only by looking at it's eyes. They are much smaller compared to raptors like hawks and eagles.
Nice video
Quero receber todas as notificações dos quartos em português
1:43 ..... “Get your ass back here”
That nice quality lung fish!! Yum yum
Last chance to look at me hector
where is David Attenbrough

Sim
Was that bird surfing using another animal?
Coatis are like non human adapted raccoons
Super video
did attenborough retire or something?
Why do I suddenly want a Coati?
Seems like that surfing white bird has more attention and popularity than the caracara and coati fight.

2:18 capybaras are friend shaped
2:18 LOL
can I get uh.... BONELESS 2 liter lungfish?
omg im dead i thought their tales were their heads
Now imagine if those Caracaras were nine feet tall with beaks capable of severing the spine with a single slam. Yah, they had relatives that large once upon a time, and they were a real Terror (Bird) in the ecosystem
Quinton Blackburn I’m now imagining that the caracaras will become giant killer ground birds in 5million years
Birb on capybara
Is the dude from Flight of the Concords narrating? :o
Uber swiggy pizza 😍
Yo how many snakes and fish are there in one grassland for real
