  • Still the fastest navigable sailboat on the planet. Should be back on the water in another month.

That's a real teaser, I know you have more video than than 41 seconds. I want to see you gybe completely all the way around on the foils. Foil Fast and safe

Dan, I had been trying to get on the foils for 3 hours at that point - winds were up and down. When I did get up, in this video, the camera battery konked out so those 41 seconds were indeed all I have of that outing (although I have 3 hours of the boat not on the foils!). That's all I got. But I can tack or gybe on the foils just fine. In fact, gybing on the foils is easier than a tack. I have sometimes gone all the way around with a gybe rather than tack in order to change my upwind direction. I plan to get back out this fall when our winds return.

I think the ifly15 would give it a run for the money

Not unless it can top 40 knots.

Hi Jay, how much does an iFly 15 cost? What kind of race course would you prefer to challenge a Trifloiler? How much wind do you feel is the best for all directions? What is the wave limit your boat can manage without ventilating foils?

@@danketterman1495 I think it's about 40,000E, but it will foil down to 7 knots. So maybe not as fast, but it would beat the pants off the trifoiler.
