  • I rarely take crew when I sail - too much to go wrong if the wind is up. But otherwise, I have taken some out and it was enjoyable to teach them a bit about sailing. Some took hold and ended up with their own boats and are sailing today..

Fun video Tom. I enjoy seeing the various tris sailing fast. The bow sprit cam gives a great perspective. Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks for showing with crew. I take my dad out often on the Weta and we always have a blast.

Tom great content I’ve been following since the Hobie island videos, The weta although rare in the uk and expensive really appeals but I’d curious about swell and chop in the ocean and capsize / pitch poling even as I’ve seen several catamaran accidents, would aka / outer hull possibly dig right in and cause one?

If you're going fast the boat runs level. But sure, you can pitchpole any trimaran. Just keep your speed up.

Hi Tom How do you like the 6.1 mainsheet system

I have configured for 4:1. It requires more effort to sheet in heavy air but quickens the reaction which I find important in gusty conditions.
