@@dopeydonaldtrump3744 The Acropolis is usually considered as the hill (acro means height) but that building in the picture is definitely the Parthenon. Did you say Salisbury Plain for #12, or Stonehenge?
Number 8 : BIG BEN is the popular nick-name of this tower in the Palace of Westminster (which is the official name for the Houses of Parliament) even though it is the bell inside the clock which is officially called "Big Ben". The Tower was, however, officially named the Elizabeth Tower in 2012, which marked the 60th Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth. The Tower was previously also casually known as Westminster Tower or the Clock Tower.
Big Ben is the BELL. The Tower has been St Stephen’s Tower and The Victoria Tower before being the Clock Tower then Elizabeth Tower. The TOWER never has been Big Ben ever. The whole clock rather than the named bell is often referred to as Big Ben though. Incorrectly.
Great quiz ! Great presentation ! Love the way the first two-thirds is nice and easy before one starts recognizing places but can´t put a name to them. Brilliantly humbling !

I know Portugal is a very small country, but repeat some countries a few times instead of putting a new one, believe me, we have so many amazing landmarks in mainland Portugal and islands like, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Quinta da Regaleira It is classified as World Heritage Humanity by UNESCO within the scope of the "Cultural Landscape of Sintra" Along with the other palaces in the area such as Quinta do Relógio, Pena Palaces, Monserrate and Seteais, and of course Torre de Belém, officially Torre de São Vicente, Castle de Óbidos, São Francisco Church, Benagil Cave, Crystal Palace, Santa Clara Church, Monsanto Village, Monte Palace Madeira and Cascata do Arado to name a few and I have not included any of the hundreds of beaches And South Korea have so many as well, I loved when I visited
Where are: Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur Marina Bay Sands in Singapore Tayrona National Park in Colombia Galápagos Islands in Ecuador Iguaçu Falls in Brazil/ Argentina/ Paraguay La Habana Vieja in Cuba Uluwatu Temple in Indonesia
It seems very difficult for a lot of people to understand, that Big Ben is nickname of the BELL (one of the biggest bells in the world btw) in the tower. This has been explained THOUSANDS of times, but still people keep calling the Elisabeth Tower: Big Ben!
I got 3 and a half wrong. Turns out only 2 and a half now as I also said Parthenon. If I had to write my answers I would have done terrible as I am a poor at spelling. Congratulations and kudos to the Greek person who set us straight. Your English is excellent. Ps, This was a fun quiz. It’s sad that disagreement became less than kind. There are so many awful things going on in the world, I wish it would bring out the best in our humanity. My new years resolution this year is to follow one simple thing I was told in Kindergarten. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. I found myself posting things on line I would not say to a persons face. I really do not wish to do anything other than be a more positive person and do my tiny part to spread ❤️ peace to all
#10 the building is the Parthenon. Acropolis is the hill it stands on.
I also answered Parthenon, Greece.
I got 28 out of 50
Yes you are correct
Nope. The Acropolis is the citadel which sits on the hill. The Parthenon is part of the Acropolis.
@@dopeydonaldtrump3744 The Acropolis is usually considered as the hill (acro means height) but that building in the picture is definitely the Parthenon. Did you say Salisbury Plain for #12, or Stonehenge?
@@TuttleCapt No. You're wrong. The Acropolis is not the hill.
Thank you so much for your quizzes. They are wonderful, and helping me to learn new things.

I would have missed that, but I lived in Nashville for a while, and in Centennial Park they have a scaled down version of it.
German guess very fast Fuji Yama San and The Great Buddha of Kamakura in Kamakura, but struggled with Berlin Wall😅😆
My Cambodia also amazing 💕
Technically #8 would be Elizabeth’s Tower because Big Ben is the bell inside. Also The uk isn’t a country on its own, but it contains four countries.
