So the Bessa obsession continues. Two rolls of Ilford FP4 plus. The Bessa shoots 8 frames per roll making a total of 16 available frames, I'm getting good at this maths lark. I made 15 half tidy shots. As happy as I am at a free eat all ya can Kit Kat chunky factory. Hope you enjoy If ya do let me know If ya think it's crap let me know why. Lovely camera. Real sharp! I tried speaking to my camera with people around at the boardwalk a while back. Felt a right tool and just gave up!
😂😂 I’m forever I’m awe of folk who vlog regardless of who’s around went to Hong Kong a while back everyone doing their thing not a self conscious care in the world. I came up with a trick always have your phone handy that way of ya get caught vlogging just talk to a dead phone seems to work. If you are going to feature a Bessa II, you really need to mention that it came with a choice of three lenses, and which one your camera uses. Those were, in increasing order of cost and optical performance, the Color-Skopar, a superb copy of the Zeiss Tessar (4-element), a Color-Heilar (5 element), and the Apo-Lanthar (an almost mythical lens). The majority of Bessa II cameras use the Skopar, which for the 6x9cm format is more than sufficient. Most of the rest use the Heilar, which is probably not sharper than the Skopar at optimum aperture setting, but offers better performance at wider lens openings. The Apo-Lanthar was so highly prized that many of the cameras with them were destroyed to remove the lens for other uses. They are now collectibles with a market value far greater than what their use as a camera is worth.
Hey Randall great info thanks, the majority I didn't know, aside from the apo lanthar being the one to have if you could find it and had the coin to fund it, this I only knew by doing a bit of a google search. I am in no way shape or form anything other than a fraud when it comes to technical info, my pleasure comes from shooting the things, but any knowledge on offer along the way is always welcome. My Bessa II has the Colour Heliar I can't recall if it was this video or another featuring my Bessa but I did mention the lens that mine has and I may have mentioned the Apo-Lanthar variant. Anyway like I say top info much appreciated funnily enough I dug out the Bessa on Friday with a plan to shoot a roll and record the results, then the rain came so as soon as the summer comes back I'll crack on. I'll add the info you supplied and credit it to yourself. Much appreciated mate cheers

Thanks mate we are spoiled with stunning scenery mate such an awesome place and with the insanity of fuel costs which are not coming down any time soon I’m so glad I travelled around the country when I could. I have a roll of FP4 in the bessa to finish then the Ektar gets a go cannot wait 📷❤️

Just do an online search in your area mate for vintage camera repairers, if none locally there are plenty overseas mate.
