  • [PART 1] - On this edition of “The Lucas Alexander Show” special series: "Remembering the Queen Of Rock - TINA TURNER - 1939 - 2023”, TINA TURNER´s Former assistant and best friend, Eddy Armani, TELLS ALL !!!!
    The most candid, in-depth, fascinating, revealing and eye-opening interview about the late, great QUEEN OF ROCK `N´ ROLL, TINA TURNER ever done.
    EDDY ARMANI on "The LUCAS ALEXANDER SHOW"! A 4-Part (4 hour) in-depth INTERVIEW.
    This is PART 1 - the first hour.
    EDDY ARMANI has published an updated version of his 1998 book "The Real T." in 2023. It´s now called "The Real T. & Me: Two Decades of Life, Love & Friendship with Tina Turner". It is thé most candid and personal backstage view and insight into the life of the phenomenal superstar that Tina Turner was, and the fascinating woman behind the star, known to the world.
    Eddy Hampton Armani, was the biggest Tina Turner fan since the early 1960´s and fought his was way into the close circle of Ike and Tina Turner Revue, their family, their children, their backing dancers The Ikettes, Ike and Tina´s housekeepers, assistants and their musicians and even, the musicians wives. Eddy wanted a friendship with Tina Turner already as a child, and he got what he wanted and even more.
    He became the first Fan Club President of the Ike & Tina Turner Fan Club in the 1970´s, worked at their infamous Bolic Sound Recording Studio and eventually got to know everyone around Ike and Tina, and saw what was really going on in their tumultuous life. 18 years of domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, drug abuse and extreme extramarital escapades. A now epic and legendary life story, made into a Hollywood film "What´s Love Got To Do With It" (1993) based on Tina Turner´s best-seller autobiography "I, Tina" (1986) and the celebrated musical on Broadway and London´s West End: "TINA! The Musical" and several Documentary films. However, you have never heard any share stories from Tina´s life with Ike and after, like Eddy Armani.
    Eddy became Tina Turner´s best friend and confidant after Tina´s dramatic break-up from Ike Turner in 1976. He lived with Tina, took care of her children, helped her on the road, in her house, became her stylist, handmade her legendary wigs, went with her to glamorous parties and traveled the world. Life with Tina was a roller-coaster ride. Not an easy life, but one of the most spectacular accounts and life-stories ever told from an insider, who became closer to the Queen Of Rock than anyone.
    IN 4 PARTS of this AMAZING interview with Interviewer and Investigative Reporter, Lucas Alexander on "The LUCAS ALEXANDER SHOW", Eddy reveals extraordinary details. He is very raw, direct and particular in sharing moments of his life with Tina Turner and the people around her. And there is much more to read in his new book "The Real T & Me". His undying love for Tina is what is fueling him to go into these details and to publish this book, not to betray her, he insists. That is how he explains it, and the love for his idol is evident and clear.
    TINA TURNER will be remembered as the GREATEST FEMALE ENTERTAINER IN HISTORY and the QUEEN OF ROCK! She will be missed and loved forever!

    I love eddy's candidness and authenticity.
    It may seem callous to some but he is speaking the truth. Not only was spousal abuse common back then it was ubiquitous. I grew up in a domestic violence situation as well, and so did several of my friends
    Honestly, I think it was Tina herself that shined the spotlight on domestic violence in the African American community. Had she not disclosed I don't think the perception would have moved.
    She gave so many women a voice by just sitting for people magazine and telling the tale.

    I enjoyed this interview and Eddy’s energy. Throughout the videos, he said he was Tina’s best friend, but based on the stories, it sounds like she viewed him as an employee who she employed when needed.

    Fascinating to hear Eddy Armani. I can feel his enthusiasm as he talks about his life experience & his love for Tina. I’ve been a Tina fan for about 20 years. She has a special place in my heart and is the only artist whose passing truly affected me.

    YES, YES, YES! RIP QUEEN TINA 👑 ♥ I love Eddy. He is the real deal. He is calling it like it really is! Tina is my idol as well and Eddy as always spilled some major tea! I watched Eddy sing hot legs fifteen or twenty years ago and I was fascinated with him & his performance. It is so clear to me that Eddy truly knew the real T! Ike Turner himself mentions Eddy in his book, Taking back my name. Even Ike said that Eddy & Tina were close. Eddy wrote that book because he was hurt. We are all human & we all make mistakes

    I have 2 more parts to watch, but it is so refreshing to learn more about Tina than the same "ole" recycled stories over and over. I find it so interesting that Eddy, like I was so obsessed with Tina as pre-teenagers. For me, it started with "Proud Mary". Tina has been my number one idol over 50yrs. In some way, Tina represented a part of me that I didn't know and it took her spirit to show it to me.

    Thank you for speaking truth, as wrong as it was, but sadly domestic violence was the norm in those days, I feel that when she shared those details, it wasn't like boohoo he use to beat me, she was just sharing her experience, it was freaking Hollywood and that oprah that blew it up, knowing darn well it wasn't a "unique" situation, from bessie smith to Billie to Tina it was going , especially in our race, tina didn't need to ride on drama To be recognized, it was sheer talent and determination that lifted her to the stars 🥰⚘️🙏 fascinating interview, RIP Our Queen 🥰⚘️⚘️⚘️🙏🙏

    Thank u, Eddy, for humanizing Ike. I literally just listened to Judge Joe Brown, who grew up on the same block as Ike and Tina talking about how before the drugs, Tina would slap the shit outta Ike. Spit on him, make a scene etc. How Tina would curse people out around town, etc. But once she reinvented herself, history was rewritten. Ike was a disciplined musician distinguished and admired for his community outreach, etc. Drugs ruined that. He was always a lil scary. But a serious mentor b4 he succumb to drugs.

    • @smurf5388

      Tina’s family have no recollection of Judge Joe Brown. Furthermore, Tina was on the road 300 days a year. Everyone in the band discussed the abuse. But, yeah, random Joe Brown 🙄

    Got taken aback when Eddy downplayed the violence Tina endured when he said abuse of women was so common back then especially in the black community. Yes it's true what he's saying but the major point he is missing is that an Ike type of violent guy was an exception, that type of violent abuse was outside the norm so it kinda disturbed me when Eddy tries to make it seem normal, it's not, Ike had a mental illness end of story and I'm not suggesting Eddy is saying this out of spite or being inconsiderate, he's probably not aware himself how invalidating it is to those women who suffered horrible abuse from monsters like Ike.

    Anyway if I’m a best friend I’ll never write anything which makes her sad and sorry, I’m not going to tell any secret to my best friends if I have a friend like Eddy specially now that she’s not here to answer those bad things he relate 😔 Rhonda Graam which she was her shadow she never write nothing coz I think she knows more than Eddy Rhonda was with Tina for 50 years she is really a good friend, not Eddy who talks not good of Tina and he have a courage to say he is a best friend of Tina I don’t believe that kind of friendship 😔

  • @jovitadeleon3396
    @jovitadeleon3396 7 месяцев назад +4

    I think all this which Eddy told about Rhonda Graam and Tinas friendship is not real but I read the all the books of Tina in two languages and she expresses her thanks and love for their friendship to Rhonda even ask her to the maid of honor for her wedding who understand what friends is that’s the way Tina thank in her friend Rhetoric for all the things she done for her. Rhonda is a very faithful friend because she didn’t any book about her love friend Tina it’s been 50
    years compared to 22 years and write things which I think makes Tina repent giving her friendship 😔

      Are you aware that Tina confirmed that she went into the relationship as a mistress. Ike brags that he slept with a least 100 women over the 16 years he and Tina were together. Tina said in an interview, there were 3 Ann’s living in the house at one time. Ike slept with some of his musicians wives. Tina said she saw this and the violence when they were just friends. He needed therapy. They all did.

    Hey Mr Lucas Alexander I have a question for you. Remember when Tina Turner said she didn't want to have anything to do with anyone from her past. So was it because of Eddy writing his books? When did Eddy move back to LONDON? I wished Eddy wouldn't have written the book. That was not the way to try and get Tina's attention.

    • @lucasalexander4156
      @lucasalexander4156  6 месяцев назад +1

      @mechellebolden3821 - First of all thank you for watching my Remembering the Queen of Rock series on Tina Turner, this one featuring Eddy Armani ❤️
      To answer some of your questions: That Tina left most of her past behind, which included all of the people she was surrounded by during the years with Ike, when she broke away from him. She did not want to be associated with her past, and probably also because a lot of the people were unsophisticated, some of them thugs, drug users and all the women that slept with Ike. However, Tina formed an even stronger relationship and friendship with Eddy after she got her freedom and she obviously kept Rhonda Graam, who was bright, clever, and a good business woman, and she had work for Ike and Tina because of her long lasting, in fact, lifelong devotion to Tina alone ❤️
      She also kept LeJeune Edna Richardson, as the only former Ikette that would work for Tina as one of the most recognizable and formidable dancers in Tina’s career, especially during her comeback years. Interestingly enough, Tina rehired Ann Cain as her personal maid and housekeeper! 😉 She clearly had been a great governess, looking after Ike and Tina’s children, and she had also done business for them, but unfortunately she was also one of Ike’s mistresses. She also kept a friendship for many years with former Ikette and later, solo-singer, Judy Cheeks.

Lucas Alexander did you ask Eddy what Tina's mom and sister think of him writing a tell all. In 1998 I think both of them were still alive.

    This interview was sad. Eddie appears to have a personality disorder and needs to accept that the decisions that Tina made at different stages of her life were her decisions to make and hers alone. Eddie appears as if he is Tina! Or that Tina owes him for every breath and step she took when he force his way into her life. I would ask him, could it be that you (Eddie) no longer served a purpose in Tina's life or where she wanted to go. People are allowed to change and evolve, and they are not required to take the people who (knew them when) w/ them. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you can find a path to peace and happiness WITHOUT having to use Tina's name to simply get by.
