Marco sounds like OG Dumbledore giving cooking advice.
Culinary wizardry
OG dumbledore is why i gave up on the movies after because the asmr quality of the og was so flipping pleasing
At this point i am convinced Marco is Dumbledore.
Marco doesn't sound right here... sounds poorly to me
Thaaa we ahhhhh....
What I respect above all else about Marco is he reached the pinnacle of culinary mastery at 33, gave those Michelin stars back at 38 and basically has just had fun with his craft and fucked around in the 20 years since.
Totally - he really did clock the game. Arguably the greatest chef the UK has ever produced.
Legendary that.

Absolutely !

Here he looks like a side quest character. Or a top dollar merchant
What happened to his voice?
Who losing his voice.
The fact he gave back his michelin stars saying people that give or take them away actually never won any or arent even chefs speaks volume, he is a true legend!
Well it IS a fucking tire company....

" and now just take your bosch drill and gently drill holes in your chicken - and to be honest, the drill is perfect for giving your meat that space it needs to let the marinade just flow in... and here we are, roasted marinated chicken thighs with the help of our 4mm drill bit from bosch"
"why did i read that in his voice? and also why does it fit so well?!!!"😂😂😂😂
Brilliant! Definitely need to get a drill asap.
But of course, Its your choice.
Someone has been watching way too many Knorr stock pot recipe videos ... but it's your choice
‘Allow the drill to do the work for you…’
Just fyi I made this for myself this evening and it honestly might be my death row meal, fucking amazing. Have it with a beer or a glass of wine and your dining like a king.
I remember watching Marco during the pandemic and learning how to cook some cool meals. Thanks to him I cook for myself now

Nice stuff. Anything specific? Id love to learn more from him
Cool! So you learned how to implement Knorr Stock Pots in your cooking?
@@RebeIMate I just ate the stock pot as is, not sure what you mean by implement. Just like being at a 5 star restaurant
I really love how he's gone from the maestro whose intensity made even angry Scotsmen cry to the mellow old ambassador of the cooking world who just wants to have a pint and steak.
Agreed. Stress and insanity are bad things. He and Gordon are so fuckin chill now that they can just fuck about and be happy to cook.

i noticed this as well, sounds really damaged. I hope he's well. Hurts to hear his voice like this, i miss his deep andy serkis voice.

It was his choice to lose his voice.
He probably still uses it, but for the really professional work only.

Stilton butter with steak is absolutely incredible
This man is a culinary legend
I saw Marco in a pub once, there was a car-park nearby with a Lamborghini Aventador in it, I assumed it was his...but later on, he was picked up in a Nissan SUV.
The man doesn't need anything flashy, he's confident in himself and it shows. Class act.
Apparently he doesnt drive, never had a lesson
He returned his Michelin stars, once he achieved his culinary goals. This is, by definition, knowing your own power. Marco will remain popular and relevant, well after he's gone. Few chefs reach this level.
It's really great to see MPW happy and still enjoying his passion. Such a personality he is.
I've made about 4 or 5 of his recipes in the past month and each one is magnificent! His Gnocchi alla Sophia Loren is this weekends feast.
Marco transcended past Michelin a while back. He has nothing to prove to anyone, is now in a constant Zen cooking mode.
No Fs given, just simple high quality cooking, well done Chef.
Marco is half-philosopher, half-chef.........Perfection!!!!
Marco is the best way to sell a food product. I genuinely trust his ideas, and I get the impression that he isn't being misleading.
One of my chef idols...man he's getting old speaking slower and raspy voice cause all the cigarettes...he's a Maestro indeed...love watching him cook and teach from knorr video to this...👨🍳 a true mastercheff
Marco pops up in so many random places
Where's Marco?
Marco, you are loved by many. Thank you for everything.
I'm definitely going to try this, looks absolutely delicious!
So great, watching him cook and just have fun. And of course, it wouldn't be a MPW video without his favorite ingredient, a tolly wolly vol au vent.
He is the commander. His food is soo elegant.
Salt and olive oil seems to be Marco's preference of seasoning a steak, with little salt as he believes this might dry it out. I have also tried the knorr beef + oil paste from his old advertisement and that is actually nice too.
as far as I know, the best way to salt the steak is to let it sit for at least 1 hour so it can penetrate the meat, the blood comes out then comes inside the meat again (thus it won't dry out). most chefs usually don't do that though they just season for a few minutes, or do it straight on the pan like MPW did in this video.
the knorr paste is actually great, just be careful of high heat as it might burn a little.
@@IarukaSkYouk Chef level cooking is about quality in a timely manner, all dishes can be improved with more time.
@@IarukaSkYouk That would be for an inexpensive cut that's not tender enough, not for a ribeye.

I dunno why, but the image of Marco just taking an unopened bottle of olive oil and squeezing it and it not breaking, but instead of just juicing out the oil is hilarious.

i just found out about marco a few days ago...i'm not from britain and don't watch TV in general. but the more i see of him the more i like him...he seems very very down to earth and gives so much practical advice. a real gem!

damn marco must be in some deep shit doing gigs like this
This looks so good! Marco is a legend.
New to cooking but I really appreciate his teachings through the video. Great cook, no doubt about it!
Sounds like the years of chain-smoking have taken a toll on his voice. Makes him sound a bit like Richard Harris.
Mm that’s the first thing that popped into my head as well. I heard him speaking quietly in other recent videos and thought it was a deliberate choice, but listening to this it sounds like he’s trying to hide the fact his throat is fucked probably from heavy smoking.
He sounds like he has a sore throat or something. He’s still a legend nonetheless. Missing the Knorr stock cubes
Smoker + age
Legend was he's an asshole
Reminds me of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest where Nurse Ratched has her neck in a brace
I love this recipe because as long as you can get some good ribeye, it's easy to make and delicious.
His voice gives me full body shivers, in a 🔥 way ❤🇨🇦. Love Stilton butter on steak.
People made jokes about MPW for using stockpots but many of his recipes were spot on. For example, making a paste with a chicken stockpot or bouillon cube and applying said paste to a chicken breast before frying tastes significantly better than just salt.
my man still rocking with no utensil needed 😂legend !!!
I know... I remember watching videos of him running harveys... Dipping his fingers in everything to see if it was cooked 😂

Marco looking like the new defense against the dark arts teacher
Why didn’t he add a knorr beef stock cube ground into a paste with olive oil to marinade the steaks and help to intensify the flavour?
Because… it was his choice.
Because you don’t need to intensify the flavour, and that only adds the flavour of the knorr beef stock cube it doesn’t make the meat shine more
Cause he wasn’t getting paid by them

What are you talking about, have you seen the French diet? They eat like 50-100g of saturated fat each day and they don't have any more health issues than others, this plate doesn't even crack 30g. It's the vegetable oil heavy diet that gives you health issues.
this guy is just fascinating to watch!
Looks delicious 😋
Sensational
For the first time, Marco finally looks at the camera.
He sounds more and more like Dumbledore as he gets older. Fitting, as he is a wizard in the kitchen and I can imagine him as the headmaster at a culinary school.
Legend has it that he’s still looking for his kingfish.
I can't BELIEVE that he didn't season the steaks with a mashed stock cube. Just flabbergasted. What were all those other videos about, anyway?
Sponsored advertisements by the stock company. But also just little instructional videos on how to do simple home cooking with cheat-methods.
@@ori-yorudan using bought stock is not a "cheat-method"
@@fakename6658 Compared to making your own stock? Yes it is. He also uses it as a seasoning, as a way to make marinating pastes, and many other uses. All cheat methods. I wonder what you think it is.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's good, I like cheats in the kitchen.
Why is it that as he gets older his voice has gotten higher?
Cigarettes. Or something along those lines.
@@Ali-fo4uv Nope, not how it works. Not for me, my uncles or aunts or friends or anyone else I know who smokes. My voice gets deeper when I quit, same with most, not all, other smokers I know. Raspier is the key word. It might get higher, few folks get lower over a long period of time. I know ex smokers whose voices have gotten deeper and thicker. If it works otherwise for you then congratulations.
@@Ali-fo4uv Not necessarily. It damages the vocal chords, it can cause your voice to become a higher pitch.

A combination of stock cubes and butter would be for much for arteries to handle
Wow. Stilton is my favorite cheese and steaks and butter are are also favorites.
My fav chef, he’s a complete legend… he’s the Godfather.
Food doesn’t have to be complicated 👍
That butter looks incredible.
Does he make it himself?
Dudes an artist. Just watching him cook is entertaining and the food he makes looks amazing.
i saw stilton butter and immediately understood the gravity of the steaks about to be cooked. so much better of an idea to get the stilton taste to collaborate with the steak than just crumbles or slabs on top . i will be making this now.
Am I the only one saddened by the fact that his voice (and energy) seems to be gone? 😥
It's not gone. He's reached a stage in his life where he doesn't need to shout. The audience open their ears for him
@@russc8270 He just seems so old and weak now
