I saw Marco in a pub once, there was a car-park nearby with a Lamborghini Aventador in it, I assumed it was his...but later on, he was picked up in a Nissan SUV. The man doesn't need anything flashy, he's confident in himself and it shows. Class act.
He returned his Michelin stars, once he achieved his culinary goals. This is, by definition, knowing your own power. Marco will remain popular and relevant, well after he's gone. Few chefs reach this level.

Salt and olive oil seems to be Marco's preference of seasoning a steak, with little salt as he believes this might dry it out. I have also tried the knorr beef + oil paste from his old advertisement and that is actually nice too.
as far as I know, the best way to salt the steak is to let it sit for at least 1 hour so it can penetrate the meat, the blood comes out then comes inside the meat again (thus it won't dry out). most chefs usually don't do that though they just season for a few minutes, or do it straight on the pan like MPW did in this video. the knorr paste is actually great, just be careful of high heat as it might burn a little.
All of those old knorr video recipes are delicious! I’ve had a go at a vast amount of them and they all were a pleasure to eat. Very nice tasting. I recommend

He sounds more and more like Dumbledore as he gets older. Fitting, as he is a wizard in the kitchen and I can imagine him as the headmaster at a culinary school.
People made jokes about MPW for using stockpots but many of his recipes were spot on. For example, making a paste with a chicken stockpot or bouillon cube and applying said paste to a chicken breast before frying tastes significantly better than just salt.
It's crazy to see Marco starting to look so old. He's really showing his age and looking a tad frail too... his voice has definitely changed too. Just hope he hasn't got throat cancer from smoking ciggies all these years

What are you talking about, have you seen the French diet? They eat like 50-100g of saturated fat each day and they don't have any more health issues than others, this plate doesn't even crack 30g. It's the vegetable oil heavy diet that gives you health issues.

Raspier is the key word. It might get higher, few folks get lower over a long period of time. I know ex smokers whose voices have gotten deeper and thicker. If it works otherwise for you then congratulations.
i saw stilton butter and immediately understood the gravity of the steaks about to be cooked. so much better of an idea to get the stilton taste to collaborate with the steak than just crumbles or slabs on top . i will be making this now.
