    - realise that impulsive action is not based on logic but on emotion and need to be managed
    - identify positive and negative consequences
    - rank behaviours to see which one to work on first
    - practice mindfulness to control the thought
    - make it harder - set up environment in a way that hinder
    - it's ok to give up once a while

I give in to my impulsiveness all the time. I don't think I would get much done if I didn't. I have been clean and sober for a long time now. I didn't know I had adhd when I was a addict. I just knew I found it almost impossible to delay gratification. I might impulsively eat junk food but I will also impulsively take vitamins, clean my house, give things away, hug and kiss loved ones, make a cake, do some art, dance to music. Be careful not to dislike yourself. appreciate the good things about adhd. think how boring life would be if we carefully weighed up the pros and cons before every decision. there are positive things about 'just do it'. obviously for a child it can be dangerous. but you are an adult now. you are not going to do stupid things that could hurt you or others anymore.

LOL, "...your an adult now and are not going to do stupid things..." I and a number of other friends missed that memo - luckily we wised up mostly when the kids arrived 😜 but a few things took us a while longer to figure out.

Yeah. I needed this. It's 2 a.m., I just finished eating most of a big bag of chips and I still haven't finished a task that should have taken about an hour. I started it the first time about five hours ago.
Also, a couple years ago I bought a cowhide. I'm sure I had my reasons but I don't remember what they were. All I know is that it was 3 a.m., and I was stuck in the hospital at the beginning of COVID and in isolation.

Spontaneous and impulsive like jumping into a duck pond halfway thru a conversation because you felt like it, gets out of the pond dripping and wandering why the hell did i do that while everyone else is just amazed and laughing, still it got me a free drink out of sympathy lol

Googling something because it bugs me that I don't know. Name of actor, facts, etc. sometimes leads to doom scrolling, but I am usually asked for tips and advice because of my diverse knowledge.
Needing to walk (new one, used to be going to the shop for food) - I've gotten into a better shape, but walk 4 hours a day. But I'll be doing DofE for work.
Impulse buying, getting things for a new hobby or business idea. Spent a lot of money I didn't have. I'm now teaching a lot of the hobbies in work. Am looking at photography on the side for some extra money.

Hi I haven’t yet gotten a diagnosis for ADHD but in the FSIQ test my tester said to me that I have symptoms of ADHD and/or autism.. all I need to do now is do the assessments to see if I really do have either of them but I feel like all my life people have been saying “you have ADHD” “do you have ADHD?” “You act like you have ADHD” “you’re too intense!” Etc but even my psychologists have been saying “you seem to have symptoms of attention deficit” at this point I’m pretty sure I have ADHD.. or ADD.. I’m not too sure on the specifics..

i have a crush and he often talks to me and yea i tell my bestfriend abt my feeling and she really supports me and give me real good advices on getting closer to him
im trying to hold my confession to him, she also tells me that i need to wait 1 year longer to confess to him cuz we're not that close yet
yesterday i couldnt hold my impulsivity and went confessing to my crush's female friend.
yea, it wasnt the plan, and i think it kinda ruined something.
my bestfriend now is a bit mad abt it lol(but guys, we're good, it's just that i tell the wrong person, my crush's female friend, and in the wrong time)
and after that i just cant stop blaming myself(but not really destroying my esteem)
i also sometimes cannot think clearly and i just hate it

My way to combat impulsivity: Keto OMAD! Keeps my insulin levels stable all day. And after my one big keto meal around 9pm, there's no screen time until bedtime. If OMAD is too hard, just drink Bulletproof Coffee for breakfast (coffee with butter and coconut oil. Mix it in a shaker or blender and it tastes amazing). But keep the almost 0 carbs going until dinner. Just keep in mind that with just OneMealADay for dinner, the ADHD meds might be stronger and work for a shorter time. Everyone has to test and adjust for themselves.
