One thing is clear to me. YOU ARE A RANCHER. It’s in your blood. Much respect.
Do you think you and Mike would get back together
Looks like you are doing well Erin. Glad to see ranch hand Jeff back.
It’s great to have him back!
Hope he gets to go in to town a spend some time with Mike
Just remember how LUCKY you are. When my mind wanders about my situation and I start to feel down I try to always remember how lucky I am to have healthy kids and a great life.
Thanks for sharing Erin. I lost my husband nearly a year ago and can really relate to the concept of a new normal. These things aren't our choice, but what we do when presented with them shows our true colors. Bravo to you for continuing your journey on the ranch! My best friend did the same when her husband died, and most people told her it couldn't be done. Eighteen years later and she's still making money! You go girl!
He husband did not die she left.😊
Erin, I have friend that with her husband built a beautiful home and Mini Donkey Ranch. Her husband passed away suddenly. I thought taking care of the home and ranch were too much for her. So I asked her how she was going to take care of it all. She said Kathy you never know what you can do until you have to...Erin YOU never know what you can do until you have to! God Bless!
Very true words! Thank you watching!
Happy Mother's Day, Erin!
You're doing a great job.
Praying
Soooo glad to see that Jeff is back! He is such a part of your channel and your ranch. He e re minds me of my favorite brother.
All the best to you and the kids.
Thank you!
Erin your videos were amazing already but they keep getting better and better! I love the new normal You keep it going! Thanks for share your day with us 😊 Be safe and keep strong
Erin….I really like your definition of normal! It really explains a lot about a person. It says a lot about growth and acceptance. I’m glad that you have friends and family to help you and your new normal…because it gives us all hope that we can accept a new normal as it happens in our own life as you have in yours. Thank you.
Go Erin go
I think you are doing an amazing job. Wishing you all the best.
Good job cleaning. It's so good to see Jeff back.
So glad to see Jeff there. You are great with the animals.
Loved this “sharing “ video. You are doing an amazing job. Thank you for helping to care for all the children who slip through the cracks over the summer. You are a true blessing to so many. You are setting an awesome example for your children. I really
look forward to your videos. Thank you for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to show us a glimpse of the ranch. 💕
I totally understand. We have been having heat index of 112- 115. So the cows go to barn during the day. So i end up mucking every day. At least i'm glad they have a place a little cooler than just outside. I love EPP. So glad it is starting up again. I never wear gloves i feel like i'm really awkward when i have to wear them. Can't wait until you do another post.......
Neat to see some of the same things we dp daily that you do also....
Be blessed😊
Thank you for being here! Have a great day!
Again, another Outstanding video!
I love your “getting to know you more” videos! You are intelligent, compassionate, caring and funny!
You are an awesome woman and Gilbert is so proud of you!
ps…. Great to see Jeff again!!
Say hello to Carrie!
Cheers to your new “normal”! 🍹
Life is tough. I have been watching you guys for a long time. Your a hard worker, smart, and good looking you will figure everything out!
A dirty job but it needs to get cleaned. Looking forward to your many garden projects and adventures.
Always nice to have the barn be clean!
I hope you are not overworking or overstressing yourself.
Good luck to you.
It was such a pleasure to listen to you talk Erin and explain the animals and your new normal as you call it❤I grew up on a farm and my grandmother was the hardest working farm woman I know. God bless her , she taught all of us woman how to be strong , have faith and that god never gives us more than we can handle🥰You are proving that Erin everyday, you are hard working lady and your love for the farm and animals shines through ! You got this 💪🏻my mom always said , one day at a time! That is so true, stay strong , humble and god bless ❤see you on the next one🥰
Erin, you are a great care taker of the animals. I like your views on life, being able to make decisions about what you want to be normal. I didn’t think about it that way. Gives me hope that I can. Good to see Jeff back, he will be a big help. Good like with the non profit. Peace to you and your family.
Thank you for being here! Have a great day!
Welcome back, Jeff. Erin you need some muck boots. Good job!
Erin, loved hearing you talk about rising up to meet the challenges of new tasks and responsibilities. I have lived through something similar and there comes a point where you have enough successes under your belt where you stop thinking 'can I do this?' and just get it done. I was also blessed with having the right people around me and that made all the difference. You seem to be blessed in that same way. I'm on your journey with you in spirit!
You're an amazing person Erin. I have really loved your videos. Your love for your ranch and everything about it really shines brightly.
It’s so nice to have a chance to listen to you talk about yourself. I love home grown tomatoes, too. I miss my brother’s backyard garden. I would “liberate” tomatoes periodically; but always left him the majority of harvest. He had health problems and couldn’t do much actual gardening himself. And, yes, “normal “ never stays the same-it always changes and you don’t often have control over it. Having structure is important-especially with kids- but flexibility is essential. You’re doing fine and you aren’t alone-you GOT this!
There is an old Scottish saying to “do the work that comes to your hand.” You are doing a wonderful job at adapting to new circumstances. BTW I mailed some seeds to EPP to try a few months back. I hope you received them and have luck growing them.
I did get them and keep meaning to send you an email. Thank you so much!!
You are brave and strong for putting your life on social media. Thanh you for recognizing that the changes have affected us viewers. I hope the kids are adjusting to the change well. Also when are the new pigs coming?
Wow, Erin! Just wow! I'm so excited. So much rain. Summer can't get here fast enough. I'm an August baby, too!(August 2nd). I love summer, also. But I like no humidity. My husband and I are planning to move to Wyoming for our retirement. Not for at least a decade but my husband loves doing gardens and I love taking care of animals. Have a great week, OWL! I have to have fresh garden tomatoes, too! Just keep moving forward.
Like you my life has changed so much in the past few months, thank you for reminding me I need to embrace my new normal instead of dwelling on my old.
Growth is important.
Loving watching you move forward with your new normal. 💕
Jeff’s back, yay 😊💕
Another great video! Best of luck and have a good day!
Thanks! You too!
Hi Erin & kids, you are an inspiration to others.I enjoy all the content you put out for us.Happy Mothers Day Erin.👋🏻 Jeff.
Good to hear you're getting rain there, hopefully it will continue to come at a regular basis. Good luck with the up coming hay season, garden projects and with all the livestock, have a good evening!
Thanks 👍
I have never seen that barn look better. Like you said, a big sense of accomplishment. 😊
Omg! I love home grown tomatoes! This your I’m planning on growing four kind! Delicious! 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅
They’re the best!
I really like this get to know you video. You are doing great Erin. I loved your talk about what normal is. It is what you make of it. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the great work and your sharing. ❤
I think any lady rancher needs to be reminded of this: You are beautiful and yet pretty at the same time. You have a bodacious personality, are so kind hearted, and radiate sunshine in your videos. Even though you are probably going through one of the most difficult times of your life you keep on shining! Very proud of you and you are an absolute inspiration to so many. Also the hardest working woman I have ever seen! You go girl!
Wow, thank you!
@@OurWyomingLife I will second that! You are one amazing lady! Blessings!
Enjoyed the video learned a lot about you. Pray you keep getting rains for the hay crop. We here in central Iowa have had little over 6 inches the last two weeks. No storms thankfully. It is good to have jeff back. That will be a life saver for you. Thanks for sharing.
Was an interesting and fun video to watch. Thank you for sharing yourself with all of us❤
I really enjoyed this video. I'm enjoying getting to know you better. Your light shines through.
Thanks for sharing, wishing you and your family the best.
Great video your doing an awesome job change is hard and different but you’ve got this
Good work. Interesting to hear about your interests.😊
Thank you! 😃
I'm an August baby too, but a Virgo. As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. So happy to see you're making it, Jeff is back, you have other helpers, more rain and I don't think you lost a calf this season. Thanks for sharing your philosophies all while cleaning the stalls (multi-tasking is one thing women do well). Be Blessed!
Hi thanks for sharing all the incredible and funny videos everyone stay safe and have a bless weekend hugs and prayers everyone ❤❤❤cute lambs
Thank you!!
@@OurWyomingLife you welcome
You're right about the new normal. I have had many changes lately. Your kind words brought tears to my eye's. Your strength is inspiration to others ✨️
Wow, same here my whole life has changed to the extreme, have to look at day to day life by day by day, and I keep God at the front, sometimes when you feel like or have lost so much you have to refocus. Many Blessings for each day. What a blessing to know that the animals are taken care of so good. Glad Jeff is back and grateful for all who help you.
You are a great example of adapting to a new normal!! ❤
Thanks for sharing your story. You are a strong woman and can deal with any situations that come by your way. I feel that your heart is still hurting. Someday your going to have to think about you and what you want in this life. Someday your going to have to forgive and take that stronghold off. Glad your getting the help you need on the ranch.
You have figured out how to make the videos excellent. You go girl!
Thanks for sharing a few thoughts and insights. Importance in life is to keep moving forward. As we see you doing. One step at a time, one day at a time. Lean on friends and family and you can do this. Purpose and vision, which you have is also an exciting area to explore...what great things can you come up with in the future! Can't wait to see !! Well done Erin...and your support team Kari and Jeff!!!!!
Thanks for the talk.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIEDO AND CHAT GOOD TO SEE JEFF BACK TO HELP YOU YOU KEEP GOING FORWARD YOUNG LADY YOU WILL BE FINE
Totally with you on the boots and gloves! My husband gets mad about it still. After all these years! 😆😆
Thank you for that very insightful conversation I learned a lot😊😊😊
Happy to see Jeff still came to help you would need the man strength around
It’s good Jeff is back. Although I may be able to take him in arm wrestling 😂
I always loved mucking stalls. Very relaxing and gives time to think.
Ok video and thank you much
Some days okay has to be enough. And normal is always changing.... moving forward one day at a time. And then some days we take a step or two back. ❤️
I would have thought your favorite food would be beef - as a ranch girl.
I love beef!
I used to take care of a 30 stall horse barn here in Missouri. Still kept my stalls clean for my horses up until a few years ago- horses no more.
AMEN🙏 well said. One day at a time. Count your blessings, seeking out the positive. 🎉 Pray for our enemies. You're absolutely right! However, you choose to define what's normal is okay. Even in the Bible, the word outcast is in there😂 in a positive way😊 Thank God for seasons and changes through life. Beginnings and ends. Past and future. Yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's ❤ I pray for you to have peace of mind, soul, heart & spirit 💞
Thank you!
Great video!! Erin!!!
It's a whole different channel, Erin... your narrative is easy to follow and listen too... Thank you for sharing with us. God Bless you and yours!! ps: are you going to do another EPP fundraiser that we can contribute to again?
What a nice video Erin... You're a natural doing the Ranching life style, it's a lot of hard work. I do understand about wearing Gloves and Boots... I used to hate wearing them when I used to work. I really enjoy your new normal.. I been there myself and it's a new challenge that nobody knows or understands why, unless you been there. It always turns out for the best. Keep the good job up and the video's coming. A special Thanks to Jeff for being there and helping you. One day I need to come see Gretchen, stay in the park, and take a tour of the Ranch... Enjoy...
Enjoyed!!
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ERIN 😊
I loved your video and how the videos are more informative about you and life in general ❤ Can you give us Gilbert's history on the ranch and his early up bringing. Thanks 😊
Erin, I pray you are as happy as you come across on video, glad to see Jeff back you need the help, God bless you an your family from western N.C.
What you see on video is a direct representation of how I’m feeling. Thank you for watching!
You are doing a great job. Nothing better than a beautiful woman working a farm. You go Erin.😊
Love the new way to catch water......😊
You are awesome!!!
Thank you!
Lamb kids are no different than human kids...when the parent is busy, they get loud.
Right!!
@@OurWyomingLife I think they are still hungry. On other sheep farms, they quiet down and nap after drinking. The ones in the barn are always crying.
I like your video keep them coming
Thank you!
Erin you are doing a great job. The trials we go thru is what makes us strong. You are strong enuf to take this challenge all the way to the finish line. BTW I think Gertie is going to be the Bambi 2.0.
Extremely impressed with your new normal. You go girl, the world is open for you. Kudos to you
Thank you!
It good to see how amazing your doing.and great to see Jeff
It’s great to see Jeff back!
Erin, create your own legacy.
Are you still going to do your store when you were selling vegetables and other things
Farm Store and website are still going!
Ohh so that how the edible prairie project thing was started . I know it was mentioned before as like an “give food to the poor” type of thing for a while. But it’s nice to gain more information about it.
Also I remember hearing back in the old farming days people would have kids go to school as an option cause harvesting was food for da family. Now it’s kinda backwards where school be more important than harvesting. Lol
I enjoy having the kids help in the gardens!
@@OurWyomingLife yeh it’s great since they’re too tiny to be doing hands on stuff with the cows
Your doing a great job Erin, I myself is a Leo and I personally like the cool 😎 air, that is the 19 if wondering
It's a future fork...random useless info. 😂 I just call them sh!t rakes. Ha! Keep grinding, girlie. You've got this.
Pooper scooper is what I call that tool!! 😃
Shaving fork/sawdust fork... generally used in wood chip/dust bedding. Pitchfork for straw/hay bedding. I don't like using gloves either... and I get blisters because of it. It works great to sift the poop and save $ shavings
Hey...hi guys, good to see Jeff is around too❤ good job guys🎉 wanted to ask if you throw "lime" down in your stalls before you put new bedding❤
I did not put any lime down before bedding. Thanks for watching!
I sure had fun watching wish I could help you though.
Thank you for watching!
Home grown tomatoes are the best there is no store bought tomato 🍅 that can beat out a homegrown tomatoes 🍅!!!!!!
I don't normally wear gloves to clean stalls or for most yardwork either. Lucky being cooler that you don't have flies. My stupid horses poop & pee in their stall, even though they can go outside.
We women can do it. (You have some guys that are just sweethearts- I have one who drives school buses with me. A very nice gentleman who insist on opening doors for us. He is a sweetheart, and I think Jeff is the same. Hey Jeff, it is Dee- the camp nurse who stopped by to get a sweat shirt that one day. Kari knows me. Kari is a good gal!) Hey Jeff, I am going to California this summer. Going to spend a week down in LA and then a week North- will be in San Francisco !!!! Going by myself, but going to try and make a dream happen with my books. ----- Guess Erin/Kari- books wouldn't have any place in a farm store, would they. (Kari knows about them.)
glad to see you and jeff and carie. my dad use to raise sheep and lams he said when he used to bottole feed them they would pull the lids off. also what is your favoret cattle breed Is mine is red angus black angus and herfrord.
I have the most experience around red and black angus. I haven’t spent much time with other breeds of cattle yet.
@@OurWyomingLife the brcko face cows are kind of mean somtimes i know the ones we own
This was fun, I was happy to see this and learn more about the Edible Prairie Project.
Thanks for watching!
Change is inevitable. Rolling with it rather than fighting it is the way to go.
Nice VLOG. Admire you.
Thank you so much 🙂
You're healing. And that's terrific.
It is!
there is tar patch and some silver fiber patching for tin which will get the job done a lot cheaper. you just paint it on with old mop.... good luck
Glad you're embracing change. Change isn't always bad... it's just different. Like you said.
Also, cool that you're looking at getting a bull that isn't an angus. There is a lot to be said for hybrid vigor.
Glad you're moving forward.
I’m excited for you guys to see the new bull!
I was wondering why you weren’t wearing muck boots!! Now I know and you know what works best for you! Yup life is always changing and normal is always changing too! At first it may seem hard but then you get used to it until something else comes along! My daughter is almost exactly a year older than Mackenzie she’s a 2010 January baby and is 14! She’ll be in high school 9th grade in august and I can’t believe it!
Hello again do you dock your sheep tails? Thanks!!😊
Have you had a chance to knock down the Yucca invading the hay fields this year, Erin? Will the goats eat it if you pen them over it?
Nice edit. -EZ
I'm so happy that you got Jeff to come out of retirement to help you on the farm! Blessings to you and your family! 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much
Charolais or Hereford? :)
Maybe a red angus
