    I watched all of your videos yesterday on the bike and went down to Stuart Fl KTM AND Husqvarna and bought a 2020 Vit! Last one on the show room floor until May they said. I was super worried about seat height being 5 foot 7 too but the bike is a lot smaller and fit perfect in person. Thanks for the videos on the bike, you’re 200% the reason I bought it 😂

      Ohh I'm sorry. I just got here. I agree. There is much more support for the KTM 390 Duke, and I don’t see this bike gaining the same following. A trade-off of being un-common, I guess.

    Just wonder if I should convert it to a svartpilen style handle bars. Also can seat pad be modified to get even lower seating?

    • @ForeverARide
      @ForeverARide  4 года назад +1

      Nice! I can’t imagine you can get a seat any thinner that this. I strongly considered new bars, and even from Husqvarna they aren’t extremely pricey (if you can find them). But, I think I will enjoy the bike as is for as long as I can before moving to something else. Good luck!

  • @BadgerMcblasty
    @BadgerMcblasty 4 года назад +2

    I heard the svartpilen seat position is more upright due to foot peg positioning as it’s the ( kinda ) adventure version. But I’m only going by the yammie noob channel. I’m thinking of getting that or the 2021 Honda CB500X, I’m about 5 foot 7 too, and learner, although I’m not too intimidated by being unable to flat foot, both the husqvarna and Honda both have 835mm ( 32.8 inches ) seat height.
    I’m in a metric system country yo

    • @ForeverARide
      @ForeverARide  4 года назад +1

      Badger Mcblasty I think that has a lot to do with how you sit on both the svart and vitpilen. You sit on top of instead of “in” it, so it feels tall/upright. I’m not sure the pegs are that much different. Also, CB500X looks great. Yeah I wouldn’t be concerned about flat footing but for longer journeys it would probably help reduce fatigue. Thank you kindly for the conversion yooo!

      Perry Austin all good, your commentary has a good cadence to it. You should do more moto-vlogging, being you’re a relatively new rider, I hope you have got all the protective safety clothing buddy. How are the vibrations on it through the handlebars, buzzy at all? I’ve been thinking about one but don’t know about the buzz or it’s long term quality. Also curious how the rising position is if it’s too aggressive leaning forwards? Thanks in advance!

  • @kell7195
    @kell7195 4 года назад +2

    Hey Perry I just got my bike licence recently, this is one of the few bikes available in Australia atm due to the global "situation" really wanted a Svartpilen but they are not available, the forward hunched over riding position worries me, did you have any issues learning and using the bike with this forward position?

    • @ForeverARide
      @ForeverARide  4 года назад +1

      It takes getting used to. The position really eggs you on to go faster. It can feel “tippy” based on your height, especially at low speeds. Otherwise it’s a great bike to learn on and I’m happy I did.

    Subscribed! Love it, man. I'm taking my first courses in about a month and am strongly considering the Vitpilen too. When you were lowering the vitpilen, did you use the lowering links and dampen the suspension too? If so, I'm curious how much it dropped for you since I'm shorter as well.

    • @ForeverARide
      @ForeverARide  4 года назад +1

      Timothy 🤪🤩 Happy to hear it! I was insure about the need to lower both as well. My local KTM dudes said no need adjust the front fork. I went all the way down to the last stop (the bike comes included with the right tool). Huge difference after you add your own body weight. Also takes bumps better because I don’t weigh a lot. Still on toes but leaned over it’s perfect.

    • @mcnbns
      @mcnbns 4 года назад +1

      You can't hate on the racing crouch riding position, man. It starts to make sense when you go faster. Above 50mph or so the wind holds you up, and you're right over the front wheel so you can accelerate harder without the front wheel coming up.
      It sounds like you want a Svartpilen 401 or a Duke 390.

      Bullshit. Over the last 20 years of riding I owned three ducatis. 1200ccm panigale with nearly 200 horsepower. A couple other bikes from 600ccm kawasakis to triumph street triple. This vitpilen 401 is my fave. It is so much fun to ride. Its light weight, and has enough power for the local roads. Theres no need for more power, unless you visit the race track. Do not listen to this guy. But i agree, the riding position on the vit is very agressive and not comfy dfor hours of riding
