Glad you are out enjoying your vehicle, after all the hard work you both put in getting there. It's fun watching the struggles of manoeuvring around obstacles and through soft sand. Traveling with others would probably be vital in less than ideal conditions. I guess you are finding out your limits. Pleasure to watch. Thanks for uploading. I particularly enjoyed your sharp intake of breath as you both plunged into the rockpool!!!
Thank you😇 Yeah we are currently travelling with my brother and his parnter in a Pajero, so we always have two vehicles and can help each other which is perfect🤩😇
22:00 The Mog would walk down that with out issue, given the correct vehicle positioning. They are an exceptionally capable vehicle. Slowly you will build confidence in your Mog.
I agree but there are some risks you don't want to take when your house is on the back. Give us someone else's Mog and we'll cruise down there ;) We have had angles similar to that, but it does feel very sketchy..
Clearly, most comments are from random people with little to no experience driving an almost 10 metric tonnes vehicle in deep sand, never mind steep dunes... This is NOT your 2tonnes UTE !!!!!!! Pat is doing a great job 👍
Well, you two, where you quickly reach the limits with every car, is soft dunes and alluvial sand. Only those who drive only in such sand. Under normal off-road conditions, the Unimog drives everywhere when the tyres fit and are not bare. You drive a very good Unimog and it is a robust and safe vehicle, with a lot of space. Greetings from Frankfurt, take good care of you.
Yeah, it doesn't like deep boggy sand especially when going up the hill because they are sooooo under powered. Also, having a big heavy box on the back is limiting. You can't lean as much to one side (especially our heavy side) cause it will tip over eventually. Makes a huge difference if you have a habitation box on the back or a flat tray🙈
@@PatandJele Laugh, 12 - 13 tons are something different than 2 tons, just convert the weight on the tire surface, you will notice the difference. This is the reality. In addition, the expedition vehicles are also unfavorably designed by the weight distribution. From the container, the largest weight should be front and not on the rear axle and in the middle. On the next tires, check with Mikey Thompson - Baja Pro X - Very good tire. Have fun, now I drink a Mönchshof Hell. Prost und passt auf euch gut auf.
Great look at behind the scenes guys. With the pressure pump, it would be better to use a DC Rated Relay switched by the AC rated switch to eliminate changing it all the time. Just a thought.
Its late in the day after when this video came out.. but have the pressure switch switch a relay at a tiny dc current which it can handle then the dc relay rated at what you need will do all the work and then the pressure switch wont screw up...
Well it always depends... Can't tell you an exact number since we just put in a gage so we know what anglr we're on. We have a heavy side and a light side so when the light side is down we aren't as scared but when the heavy side is facing down we are VERY careful🙈
I,think about, wheel slip 😅you give up 😅no😊use ahydrolic road for driving wheel 😅front of this wheel and then shape of a wheel for top this road and pull down the road to this road other a hydrolic road and then trying to front.
thats not quite close to the limits :) see you off the road when I got my unimog mobile home 2025. I will do offroad training with someone who know the real limits from unimogs and teache my how to use the capabilities
We could have let a few psi out, but in the end the truck is still 12t and massively underpowered... not good prerequisites for sand driving. That being said we have found a good range of pressures to run at and it is surprising where we can go.
Adding all your you tube travelling videos to my MUST WATCH LIST,
love what I have already viewed.
Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed!

Honestly Team, don’t be scared to drop pressures down to 15psi. Then she will float everywhere, no more getting bogged.
Since we are so heavy we don't like going past 20psi in the front and 30 in the rear. That is usually enough to get out of any deeper sand anyways.
Not if the unimog is loaded!!! Don't be fooled by RUclips videos of unloaded trucks!!!
awwww the seal! so happy you guys are finally back on the road and able to enjoy the mog 😍😍
Thank you! :)
Awesome, Video footage........Enjoy ❤
Thank you🥰😇
Amazing truck! Awesome vidz
Thank you🤩😇
Tolles Video.., macht einfach Spaß euch zu sehen 😂 macht einfach weiter so
Dankeschön🥰😇

@@PatandJele they arnt underpowered .
Those tracks were so much fun! Only need some more horsepower I recon😛
Agreed!!!! Maybe one day :) NEXT WEEKS VIDEO will be WILD!!!! Didn't need any more horsepower on that track :D

Hi I saw u in Hedland today
How did you manage to bog a mog on hard beach sand? Don't be scared to drop your tyre preasure
I'm glad you know it was hard beach sand when it wasn't hard at all😅✌🏻
How do you find driving on side slope.? Is it scary. Who many degree angle will you go up to before it's gets to dangerous
Well it always depends... Can't tell you an exact number since we just put in a gage so we know what anglr we're on.

Tires look over pressured for sand.
Don't forget that it is a 12t truck ;)
We've had them as low as 20 and got a cracked sidewall (even though the tyres were brand new)
Hi, wie schwer ist euer MOG? Viele Grüße aus dem Chiemgau
Hey, wenn wir 500l Diesel und 450l Wasser aufgefüllt haben und voll bepackt sind mit allem was wir haben dann knapp unter 12t.
What's the total height and weight of your unimog?
12t and 3.8m high 😝
Cool
Thank you!

It's a Unimog. Go anywhere
Hehe we wish! It goes many places but the 40 year old trucks are really underpowered🙈
Heavily loaded unimogs are pretty useless in deep, loose sand, never mind steep dunes... Ask me all about it 😢
Unimogs are vastly overweight for expedition travel.
I would have to disagree, they just don't have enough power. But you are entitled to your own opinion...
Those tyres look waaaaay too inflated to be driving on soft sand.
We could have let a few psi out, but in the end the truck is still 12t and massively underpowered... not good prerequisites for sand driving. That being said we have found a good range of pressures to run at and it is surprising where we can go.
