@@s1tooo That is very true. I lived in the Sinai for a year back in 1991, and visited Cairo several times. There are many grand buildings and also beautiful homes, with polished marble floors, beautiful crystal chandeliers and the best furnishings. Much more grand in fact than nearly any place in the United States. But a video like this delights and fascinates many of us who are not from Egypt, because in the old buildings and the old ways, we see the history of all of humanity. So much of the culture of the whole world comes from Egypt, and our holy books talk about Egypt. The little market you walked through at 10:26 is called Khamaya Market, meaning the tent-makers market. It's been there for a thousand years, they used to make and sell tents to nomadic people and travelers crossing the Sahara. Now they sell more rugs and such, as you saw. Up until around 1960 they were also making coverings for the Kaaba in Mecca, though they aren't doing that anymore.
