My whole life was a lie my guru taught me only the last 2 lines of this kavit and till date I can only say about 4 kavits in a row and rest I don't know coz I was never introduced to them and now too whenever I ask her any of my doubts she just puts me aside out of everything and till date I can't figure out how to get the whole knowledge regarding everything it feels everything taught to me was a lie m not complaining just came across the real truth she is still my guru least she taught me something out of everything Thank you for opening my eyes 🙏🏼🙏🏼
As a fellow Kathak dancer from NYC, I have had several Kathak teachers in the past, which taught me so much. I understand that the tradition is to have only one teacher, but I would only be limiting myself. One NYC teacher had a subluxation of his eye due to over 40 years of fast spins so he had to take a break. Another Kathak teacher in the city taught me a beautiful dance in honor of Saraswati 🕉, but she took a break for a marriage and baby. Finally, I found a Kathak teacher from Queens who got me to join a group of her dancers at a Tagore homage at the embassy/consulate of India in NYC!! May the light guide your way on.
Not quite sure how to respond to this. We want to suggest a solution to this problem. We at learnkathakonline will think about it as a unit and get more options. This disturbs me..
