Krishna Thumri - Kathak | Damini Bisht & Avenav Mukherjee (Janmashtami)

RadhaKrishna represents the unique union of the Goddess Radha and her beloved Krishna, two highly revered deities in the Hindu Vasihnavite Tradition. It symbolises the soul seeking the divine love. Yin-Yang dualism of ancient Chinese philosophy comes closer to the Hindu symbolism of Radha-Krishna. It describes how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may be interconnected, interdependent, and complementary to each other in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other as they connect.
A traditional composition Thumri performed in dance style Kathak by Damini Bisht (Lucknow Gharana) and Avinav Mukherjee (Jaipur Gharana).
