This is by far the best list of Diablo like ARPGs I have seen. I was especially pleased to see some love for Slormancer as it is less often mentioned. Two notes: 1. In my opinion Lost Ark is a pure MMO with the trappings of an ARPG. While fun, the items you get are VERY limited and, in the end game there is ZERO ARPG loot or elements. It's just MMO dungeons where you earn currency to invest in premade item sets. 2. Instead of Lost Ark, I would put in Shadows: Awakening. It is a really interesting pure Diablo style clone where you can switch forms to go between the real world and spirit world. Very unique in some ways and very familiar in others. I recommend taking a look.
Hi Indie Gamer channel host, I just want to thank you very very much for this channel. I watched so many videos in a short time here, and downloaded almost 75 games from youre suggestions. I really love Indie games, they feel really special to me. Thanks again
Wolcen really has a lot of potential. I already liked their approach to the skill tree, the awesome skill animations and how you can easily switched class tiers if you wanted to.
Hey just a minor minor correction. The tree ghost from Indonesia is a Kuntilanak and lives in mango trees. That said... gosh you channel is awesome. Been following you for years and you've kept up prime quality. Tak sokong! And greetings from central Java, too 😁
There is also Ortharion: The Last Battle, very good hack'n slash, with a bit of exploration. The game is still in development but is progressing well! 39 classes offered, with 7 possible choices at high level. You should try it if you don't already know it!
I freaking LOVED The Ascent. I was only interested in the action aspects -to which it tends heavily- but the story and lore turned out to be quite compelling. The script and voice acting was also excellent. It didn't need to be, but it was which speaks to the level of commitment of the developers.
You forgot Undecember which is direct competitor of PoE. Next season 3 in December 7th will be their comeback. Pet is free for everyone so they will loot for you without paying a dime. Plenty of QoL already planned so check that one out.
I tried many different and still think that PoE as multiplayer, TQ and GD as co-op are the best for now. It's not only game-play or story or other... it's game-play PLUS story PLUS graphic PLUS other. So these three games still the best.
a small note on Vrising, Vrising gameplay revolve around multiplayers and as such there is no definite end game like PoE where you hunt loot on maps or Grim dawn where you go into crucible. It's still a fun game to play on solo or pve servers. Also titan quest. unlike most of other titles here, titan quest could be very slow since you need loads of exp to level up while the mobs give very little so do take note. you could mod this if you want.
Good list top 3 is well deserved for trio Grim Dawn, Last Epoch and PoE. There are some cool mods for GD. I am not really fan of GD enemy lvl scaling but the build customization and items makes up for it. Titan Quest is great too but the controls and combat is way clunkier than its succesor GD.
It brakes my heart Sacred 2 didnt make this list. Rightfully so to be clear, bcs its bugged to the point it corrupts your save file but.. man if only that game released in a stable state.. I love that game
I think that Torchlight 3 and Infinite are worth checking too. The 3 specially, got alot of negativity because people expected it to be T2 rework, but its a solid and fun game on its own.
Torchlight 2 was my Diablo back in the day then Grim Dawn a while ago. Loved Riftbreaker but tbh I never really associated it with Diablo. Tried a bit of PoE but never really put much time into it so I can't really comment on it. I'll probably avoid Diablo-likes until PoE 2 comes out though.

Man, I love this genre conceptually but none of them have held me like D2 did. I've tried all the big games on the list multiple times and have quit every time due to boredom. I guess I'm just over the spammy destroy-hordes-of-enemies gameplay in my old age and prefer the deliberate combat of things like (atm) Ravenswatch which isn't even really of the same genre.
Yeah D2 still hits me like best arpg of all of these. I can recommend Project Diablo 2 mod, it has really cool mechanics and adding a real endgame maping system while keeping the true original D2 feel
@@whocares8269 Thing is, at this point even D2 still has that spammy mindless, grindy, destroy-hordes-of-enemies gameplay that either has not been implemented well (to my liking) or simply is just something I don't like anymore. Since playing these "mobas" (DoTA 1), I guess I;ve been looking for more deliberate tactical action with skill synergies and timings matter more.
I bought it earlier this year and think it's pretty fun. It's not my favorite arpg- something about the combat controls feel a little off to me, and I don't like their resource mechanic (rage/will power) or locking all the skills to particular weapon types. TL2, Grim Dawn, POE, and the Diablo's all sustain my interest for longer stretches of time than Wolcen, but I think Wolcen's still an ARPG well worth playing, especially since it's going on sale pretty regularly for $10 now. The graphics and sound design in it are incredible, and the story's intriguing. I haven't actually encountered many bugs playing it myself, but I've only played it in offline mode.
All these games can be summed up in one word: "CHAOS!"
PoE had a sanity check integrated for many years.
My favorite part of Sonic Adventure 2 was breeding the CHAOS

thanks for supporting indie devs
@@ClemmyGames It is my deepest pleasure
Love me some Torchlight 2, still my favorite ARPG overall, especially with the Unearthed Arcana mod added in.
I have put more hours into TL II with Synergies and Far East mod than I should have. At least a 1000.
Many good mod choices
Wolcen really has a lot of potential. I already liked their approach to the skill tree, the awesome skill animations and how you can easily switched class tiers if you wanted to.
yeah! A bit unfortunate with the bugs but it's ok imo
@haasva2637 You would get Path of Exile 2 lol
this made me realize I played slormancer back in 2021 and I found it from your channel ... time flies
Thanks for watching throughout

Ah right, thanks!
Last Epoch is my favorite out of em all
If you haven't gotten to end game in Path of Exile, then you truly haven't experienced how great an ARPG can be.
So much stuff!
Still sane exile?
Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn is still my go to ARPG.
But I wish for one ARPG to be ported to Steam, Champions of Norrath.
And because people want it, it won’t happen.
D2 has always been my childhood, always a classic to me.
but.. LONG LIVE THE KING POE!!

Loved Victor Vran. The more simplistic nature of the game made it a fun game to just hop on for a few rounds takling bounties
Mmhmm!

Is Ravenswatch on your radar? Great diablo-like roguelike ARPG that's got some big content coming
yup
Can we also please have a list with marvel ultimate aliance and X-Men Legends like games? I want to play co-op with friends :)
Not that many game like those but let me see what I can find

Good!
I never played Path of Exile, but Tribes of Midgard and The Ascent are dope games that I've played 👊🏿
give it a go!
@@ClemmyGames Most definitely 👊🏿
I played Lost Ark a bit and it got weird controller support with clunky game menus but the battle is decent.
