I was super concerned how difficult it would be to remove the screen but this video was super helpful. Done in 20 minutes flat. Hardest part was disconnecting the OEM harness from the switch due to my fat hands and minimal clearance. I agree with the previous user that going in from the left with a pic tool to pull the security tab out and then reaching from underneath left side was easier. Great job.
Dude!!!!!! Thanks so much for the vid!!! I just got my new 1500 denali last week, buying the auto stop right away too. I was ready to send it back today before finding this vid. Without detailed instructions there's no way I was going to tear into that dash! Thanks again!!!
I have a suggestion that will help make this video even better. When trying to undo the cable with the red tab I found it way easier to reach underneath the unit with my left hand "while sitting in the passenger seat" releasing the red tab and pulling off the clip. Just something I came across that made it easier hope it helps and great video thanks for your time in making it! ✌️
This morning before I received the start/stop eliminator in the mail I went to my 2023 GMC Denali and followed your video to remove the parts to get to the plug that has to be removed. When I got to the part of pulling the screen off I hesitated as it was held fast as you mentioned. I had to look at your video again to make sure I was doing the right thing and it worked. Boy are those clips tight. Removing the Red piece from the plug was hard to do also, I used kind a curved pick and it came off, then removed the plug. I sent your video to the company so they could share it to those with the same vehicle. Thanks again so much for the video. All Done and works fine.
Followed your instructions for a 2024 Sierra Denali. Worked perfectly, about 20 minutes. You’re right, releasing the little red clip sucks and was the “hardest” part of this. Great video, thanks!
Just installed mine and used your video as a guide. Most helpful moment was the 6:23 mark. Removing the trim pieces was a breeze… but the screen/controls/dash area are clipped in there SNUG! At that 6:23 mark, I see you put your finger behind the bottom right corner and pull and it “popped” that corner out. I tried and mine did the same thing. Once you get it working it’s way out it becomes easy. It’s just a little nerve racking to be pulling on your screen/controls/dash that hard. But seeing how you did it gave me the proper technique. So thank you for that! 🙌🏻
Thank you for this video! The 4d tech video uses a 2023 and up model which is a different interior and requires a different procedure. I started talking off more pieces than needed and couldn't continue until I found and watched yours.
Thank you for sharing this video. Followed it step-by-step and it made the install simple. I watched other videos and would have disassembled parts of the console and dash that didn’t need it. Outstanding video and directions, thanks again.
I realized the same thing when watching this video. Glad I came across it as it will save me a few steps when installing my cable, which should be here tomorrow. Thanks, ATP, for your effort! Now, if they would just come out with something that would bypass the DFM system the truck would be perfect.
Dude, thank you so much for the video. It was a lot easier than what I thought. Instructions included in the package were good, but I am a visual person instead of a reader.😅😅
Thanks for this. I’ll add that I found the radio easily pops out the back and you can easily unplug it. This give you better access to the plug we need access to.
ordered for a new Sierra. Had this on my 2019 and in my opinion is a must have for eliminating the stop/start. Your video is appreciated so much, thankyou for doing this. My baby Duramax thanks you too.
Wow, thanks for your detailed video. Everything went perfectly! The auto-stop eliminator works as promised. Great Job, I'll save your channel. Cheers!!!
Thanks so much for doing this video. I have a 2023 GMC Denali and have already bought the eliminator but haven't installed it yet but I may now. I got the same instructions from the company as you did but I won't have to use them with your video. I saw another video on a Chev and they removed the screen to access the plug which looks a little easier but I will try it your way first.
Couldn't find a vid for the new Silverados so I used yours as a guide. The Silverado screen has two additional screws holding in the top and another on the DS air vent that requires taking all the kick plates off to undo. Relatively simple still but different nonetheless

Thank you for the great tutorial!! I think it took me longer to clean fingerprints off the screen and trim, than it did to do the entire installation.

Did you have to disconnect the battery before you disconnect the plugs?
No, but I do recommend to do it.
After the red tab was pulled, did you just pull the harness straight out or did you have to squeeze it somehow or,,,?
You have to squeeze it to release
@ATP_USA thanks. I was able to pull in the little tab on the plug and release the plug.
Thanks so much for your very helpful video.
Do you have a copy of the installation instructions that you can share with me?
Unfortunately I don’t have an actual instruction manual that I can share, the video will be the best reference if you have a new refreshed model.
@@ATP_USA no worries. Thank you for the video.
the harness would not disconnect. i give up after two hour.
Make sure the red tap is completely disengaged.

No way I’m gonna tear a new interior apart for that.
Is not that hard.
