Did you ever figure out the floor pan rot, or did you decide to go classic with it and leave it rusted. Because if so that’s what I always do lol. Great video by the way slammed it with the editing!
Sound deadening is definitely a help, however, I’m finding that making sure an any interior holes and seals are all closed and proper helps a little bit more…
I did this in preparation for a bucket seat, where the bolstering comes up really high which makes it uncomfortable to get out of the car as the space you have to get out is radically reduced to the point where your thigh makes contact with the steering wheel. Being able to remove it quickly allows easy entrance and exit

how did you connect it to the steering column
I had a hub which I bought second hand. I wish I could tell you what brand sold it but it came with the Lecarra wheel and has no brand on it.
