They had the chance of naming the movie "Shark on a Plane" and blew it.
Totally agree..Sharks on A Plane..much better title
"Monkey Bightin' Sharks on a Monday to friday plane"
Facts and we'd watch it too because of the title and it actually has some substance. Yeah I say they blew it.
That shows a good sence of humor on your part
Was my first thought and then just, holy crap they went overdramatik full retard with that one.
remember when trailers didnt show the entire plot of the film
When do you think that was?
Remember when they couldn't because there was more than 60 seconds worth of plot
There is a game I like to play with trailers I call "spot the ending". To play you just try to guess which part of the trailer is the end of the movie. the easier it is the less I want to see the movie.
Remember when we didnt have a clue that the movies we were watching were conditioning us for future events!
Barely! But yes!
The Beekeeper, The Bricklayer; I'm gonna be real disappointed if we don't also see The Road Crew Flagger and The House Painter
The Road Crew Flagger story: Bring you kid day and your little son come to work. Rick mafia son drives a suprraaaaaaa and crash to kid... (sad) then rich father save his son from jail then our The road Crew Flagger kills all rich man bodyguards with only a flag... the happy bloody flaggy end...
Haha, that's some funny sh*t.
The Groundskeeper will be first.
I want a movie called The Carpenter with the trailer having nothing but dramatic music and closeups of actor's faces. Is it a hitman movie or a religious movie? You have to buy a ticket to find out. No early showings for critics.
@@1retiredknight Beautiful. Why don't more people have this sense of humor?
This will be a great year.. to catch up on my watchlist from the previous years.
what a shitshow. really...
Amen!
Great year? This is the year America ends... we almost had a civil war just last week with Gov. Abbott seizing the federal border, until Biden surrendered the border to Abbott (thankfully to avoid bloodshed?). And our elites are openly talking about how they want to draft people to start a war with nuclear Russia, particularly in Britain whose social media is full of women freaking out that Britain suggested drafting all women for their future war with Russia (partially out of fear men would all avoid the draft by claiming to be women, so some are arguing they have to draft all genders, Biden actually already changed the US law secretly by writing an executive order declaring trans women to not be women, and Biden wrote that only the "sex at birth" would determine draft status, basically can't get out of the draft if you say you are a woman, Biden will say "no you are a man" and draft you).
Ironically, the movie T.I.M was made in previous years. No idea how it ended up on here
I have a lot of great books to catch up on.
Well, fortunately I have a lot of classic DVDs at home
You mean in the bunker?
@@goodcitizen3027 Beside the bean's cans😅
For real, these are all ass.
Well, give it a few years and dvd and blue ray players will be rare as VCRs and everything will be digital non-physical media and more easily censored by the mainstream.
I know.. these movies are all trash. There is a reason Japan outdid these attempts of entertainment and it's name is godzilla. None of the content providers are worth a damn because they keep pumping out dumb trash like this. Reminds me of that scene in idiocracy when the movies are just 2 hours of people getting kicked in the balls and the dolt public keeps laughing and munching that popcorn. Dolts.
I kept waiting for a trailer that looked good.
...and waiting...
...😔
At least; unlike nearly every other one of these "upcoming movies" this one didn't turn out to be 80% Dizzy Streaming shows.
And waiting...
Was pleasantly surprised by the new Godzilla movie, kinda sad that a foreign B movie has a more compelling and relatable story than anything hollywood has put out in the past 20 years. Would recommend if you want to see something 180° the opposite direction of modern sensibilities.
first one looks good tbh
It's ok everyone, we can re watch The Departed and Shawshank for the 50th time.
Raaaah. I thought I was the only one who felt nothing watching all these trailers. Don't know what exactly it is but I felt no thrill and do not look forward to seeing any of these.
Haha i just watched Shawshank literally yesterday, and every time i rewatch it feels like i watch something new.
Shawshank... They just dont make em like they used too...
And Scent of a Woman.
And The Green Mile
Ron Swanson as president, california and texas teaming up. Must have been an intern doing the writing.
Who's Ron Swanson?
You need to watch Parks and recreation
I don't think they are shooting for a 1:1 reality to film story here and that's kind of the whole point. They are choosing two traditionally politically opposed states to be a team to 1. help gather a larger audience and 2. tell a story about real possibilities in this country's future without it feeling "too real"
@@Elfimis111 This has nothing to do with reality or lack of thereof. The movie stinks of stupid propaganda - wars (also civil wars) don't start because people are "different". They start because people have conflicting ideas.
@@leonidfro8302 The state is a violent gang, the only difference between the average street gang and the state is who is on top. Civil wars happens when one gang approaches the power of the top gang.
Texas and California team up? You know it’s fiction. 😂
most of california is red...only the big cities are blue.
you don't know how numbers work, do you? @@jeremysumpter8939
And the population of the small towns and rural areas is less than any single big city there. The gangs in LA alone would probably outnumber the ones who'd side with Texas.
Hey if enough Cali people move there
thats the only way this plot works, they need the sheer numbers of those state's populaces - so i agree.
I can't believe they managed to make "Sharks on a Plane".
Just wait till you hear Colm Meany say the line: " I have *had* it with these motherfucking sharks on this motherfucking plane".
Having C. Meany makes me nearly want t' watch it, even havin' seen but a small fraction of his work.
@@Yanni75if they want PG13 rating he will say "i have HAD it with these mother loving sharks on this monday to friday plane!"
🤣
@@Yanni75lol i literally said that out loud when she or he (can't remember who) said sharks on a plane.
8:10 - Every occupation can be used as a name for an assassin. Next year we'll have "The Streetsweeper" and "The Tech Support Guy"
“Time to take out the trash…”
and "The Gamer"..sniper kills with AWP :D
The Ditch Digger! lol
It's Hollyweird's way of trying to connect at least a little with the common people.
You'll never see the "The Customer Service Rep"; any attempt would fail. "You want me to deal with people outside my job?!? F That."
Oh wow. This is exciting. Pitch Meeting episodes are gonna be a blast in 2024.
The Clipart is not part of any of the trailers... female in white paint...
Yep I thought the same it looks like an Eldar or Drukhari out of Warhammer 40k so got my attention but not in any trailers. They did something similar on another video where it looked like it was maybe Deathstroke from DC comics but then no trailer to match again.
Yeah I noticed; I was curious if she was from a horror movie or what; then nothing. False Advertising just like every other one of these.
More and more false advertising...

"The Western forces of Texas and California"
California: Nah bro
Texas: Nope
Nevertheless, that's what Biden's owners have coming. All by design.
It seems that this year the worst dystopias will become our real-life nightmares.
Stop letting people grift you with fearmongering and ignorance.
Yea it called thanks Joe
That's what they want you to think. These films are a form of pretexting society into accepting typically unacceptable norms. The more you open yourself to such ideas, the greater the chance of it coming into reality.
"The action movie department is bricked, we need a new perspective"... "WAIT THAT'S IT!" -- *The Bricklayer* omfg please stop. 🤣
All these trailers looks like warnings instead of movie trailers considering everything that’s going on
💯💯💯
Well, I wouldn't call it a true warning by the movie producers. It is definitely a cheap shot preying people's current fears and concerns. I'll skip it based on just that alone. Leave the World Behind was the same but we ended up watching it not hearing anything before hand. It was terrible as a movie, on it's own. Although, also terrible that they portrayed people like Kevin Bacon's character being all "I'm gonna look out for my own during this pseudo invasion.
They already hinted they were gonna use hollo projection to make things seem real when they won't be. This was Mysterio in Spiderman....our ai and holograms are at that level now.
lol@@someperson7873
Gotta sell it to people as cool first, before actually pulling it off.
The Brick Layer… everyone tryin to be John Wick now, or Jason Bourne. Snore
The twist is that his nickname has nothign to do with he chosen retirement job; he just really sucks at basketball.
Not a single one of those movies looked like something I would spend 2 hours of my time watching for free
Most don't even feel worth the 9-10minute 'movie recap' video once they're out, LOL
@@mambi74 Personally, struggling through the 2 minute trailers tbh
Ugh...same. At least I know Dune awaits me.
90% looks like Netflix crap.
The last one is just straight up out and has been since last year lmao
If the trailers for movies coming out in 2024 are this good.
Imagine how bad the actual movies are.
seriously what a collection of terrible looking movies. Civil war is the only one that looked half decent and thats ONLY because of the writer and producer flashes.
I SWEAR hollywood only ever makes a good movie by accident any more.

It's the new "Marvel universe", they will make a few more characters like "The Plumber", "The Electrician" etc and then get together and form "The Blue Collar Force"😂. We already have "The Cable Guy" (Jim Carey). Although before all of this, I am still waiting for my John Wick/Hitman crossover.

When he said Texas and California were allies, I was waiting for a punchline because surely that's a comedy. Anything else is simply absurd.
I disagree. Believe it or not CA, like TX, is mostly a red state. Both have large GDPs, sizable active military and veteran populations, border issues, major natural & manmade resources. I could easily see them coming together for a mutual benefit.
it really does demonstrate how ignorant people in hollywood truly are.
I suspect that's to make it clear it is a satire and not what the author actually thinks will happen, like "it's ok folks, it's just a fantasy, Texas and CA would never be allies politically"
Its like saying Klingons and Romulans would join forces... it's just so implausible that it's not even interesting.
@@firelock9080 your entire perception revolves around boomer memes. Your brain isn't addled, it's leaking out of your ears right now.
Imagine writing Texas and California as allies
The enemy of my enemy is my friend...
What's even more hilarious is that they think only two states would rise against them if a president declared himself supreme ruler and canceled future elections. But, yes, the two they settled on is profoundly silly.
I mean, there are a ton of conservatives in California, and a ton of liberals in Texas. Both of those states are a lot more "purple" than people realize.
Texas is purple, so, maybe within 20 years?
It's because they don't want the scenario to be too close to the real world.
Probably for liability reasons in some way.
At this point, is Hollywood trying to produce horrendous movies?...sharks on a plane wtf
You think they ever didn't? Though they do seem to be getting worse as they run out of stories to steal/rehash/remake that people haven't seen many times before.
When the historians look back at this era, they gonna ask "Why was the world so angry & obsessed with apocalypses"?

@@ShadeDraws Texas and California are both a lot more purple than most people realize. There are tons of liberals in Texas, and tons of conservatives in California.
The real problem with this alliance is not left/right, but the fact that California's government is so big they need a bailout, and Texas's government is so small they don't want to pay for the California bailout, so WHY would Texas give all that money to California to pay for $9 Big mac's made by $25/hr fast food workers, when all of California's problems are clearly self-inflicted by too much government ? In fact, any state in favor of big government can just stay in the Uncle Sam group, because there is lots of government in the Union. The only reason to leave is to get away from too much government, and why would California be worried about that ?

I lost it at " California " on Civil War. 🤣
They have the economy equivalent to the 3rd largest country in the world so guessing they would obliterate any other state lol. Red welfare queen states (all the ones who rely on blue state handouts, most of them) would not survive a war for longer than a month lol
Not a lot of films I'm interested in, but some do have my attention.
In ISS the scientists would say stuff your orders, because they know anything they do to try and take control of that station will lead to its destruction.
also, why the fuck did they back away from the view port when they saw bombs detonating on earth? Aren't they protected from most radiations anyway, not like those can reach you.

The CGI in the Planet Apes trailer looks way off this time. I mean, the bird was BADLY done, looking criminally fake. Per The Brick Layer: it's wild, recognizing actual locations from your own country, while most of the actors are non-natives; not saying anything bad, just that it gives off an uncanny feeling.
Ghostbusters looks great!
Key take-aways:
1) Buster Scruggs got himself a government job.
2) Chief O'Brien should have known better than to take a plane; should have taken the transporter.
The CA and TX as allies thing threw me as well so I looked up the movie. The plot of the movie I read says that the current President declared himself president again for a third term. He suspended the constitution and all future elections. States that did not agree with this seceded from the country. As politically opposite in ideologically CA and TX may be they still at least think the country should have a constitution and a president should not be able to unilaterally declare themselves president for life. That is the background/context for the story in this movie.
Yeah except if Trump did that, Texas would go along with it. If Biden did it, Newson would be the first to stab him in the back.
So, it's about Obama??
Like California would give a shit as long as he promosed more sexual perversion, dead bablies, and "eat the rich."
Guessing you don't follow American politiics lol. The only reason the director made California one of the suceeding nations is so that the film doesn't come across as purely hateful towards the right, so that it doesn't alienate half the coutnry meaning more money for the box office. The entire plot you described is basically what left wing people think Trump would do if given the chance.
If the film was Texas + Florida suceeding it would basically be a left wing fantasy and no right wing people would go to see it.
California residents got enough signatures together to recall its governor, he got back in office by almost 100% of the vote, and CA decided the election was obviously fair and untampered with in any way. Are you talking about the same California everyone else in country sees, or do you mean a different one?
