I found that doing the red springs work a lot better for me I also run orings with the chino mod. I run all 3 springs

Oh good I'm glad I did. Built this truck years ago and couldn't remember what shackles we used.
So what do you think about the Revolver shackles, and Z box kit for the Marlin Crawler? Looking real hard at the Marlin Crawler, with the 1985 4Runner body.
Speedy Noneya they def will add flex and the Teraflex branding keeps the scale look. I'm also looking to do a 4Runner build on TF2, but I'm looking to go the airbag route.

That's a complicated question, depends on what you're trying to achieve. It's always good to start with a quality set of tires and I think a high torque all metal servo.
How exactly are leafs more scale than links? Nobody on the mountain around here brings any leaf trucks anymore! If anything, as time goes on it's becoming quite the opposite in 1:1!
In the tiny truck world leaf sprung trucks still seam to be much more scale than linked trucks. I think it's mainly because RC4WD focuses on being scale and mainly make leaf sprung trucks. I'd like to see a company make a super scale kit on a 4 link set-up, I can't think of one off the top of my head. Maybe a Capo ACE1, but now you're talking money.

So I have a 1986 4 Runner, it didn’t come with a straight axel, it has independent suspension, can you do a video a a conversion, a got the 4 Runner body, gonna make the little one look like the big one.
You wanting a video of straight axle to independent conversion? What chassis are you using, could be interesting?
TandemCTelevision the RC4WD 4Runner will sit on the TF2 marlin Crawler. The 1986 4Runner didn’t come with a straight axel, I think It will/might do better on the trail as well. I would love some stickers by the way.. 🤓
