Disney didn't do it, Netflix did. They were about to start season 4 & Netflix pulled it, Disney wanted them to continue making them & they took the huff because Disney wanted to do streaming stuff
James Gunn: Conservatives created that whole outrage that led to Gunn's departure, not the Mouse. Though apparently that idiot in the leadership over there (2nd or 3rd down the line from the CEO) is the one who panicked and pulled the trigger on Gunn while the top guy was out, and then they just had to live with the decision because they can't countermand the decision of the guy because he's going to end up taking over as CEO later. Daredevil: Have there been any leaks yet as to exactly why they made the decision? My understanding has been that Netflix has been canceling all these MCU series without explanation. Anyone have links to articles on this? EDIT: There's at least some evidence that Disney has been just as surprised as the rest of us, as to the cancellations. Apparently Netflix is the one holding the reins regarding cancellations, as of right now. ruclips.net/video/8FKvx9f0ovw/видео.html #mousedidntdoitthistime
Charlie Cox was honored by the American Foundation for the Blind for his performance. There's some points during this season when it's genuinely surprising to think that he can see. Such a strong performance.
For real, congrats to this show for making Karen such a compelling and complex character that wasn't a dumb useless love interest like in most superhero stories. I loved seeing the darkness and pain inside of her, and the fact that she had crossed a line that Matt didn't (murder) created such a fascinating dynamic between the main trio.
vol Rogue eh wrong... the s2 one has I believe 2 or 3 cuts and so does the season 3 one. Not a no cut by any means, what your looking for is a one shot scene where they make it look like, well, one shot. The only daredevil no cut scene like that is the hallway fight from the first season.
@caitlyncarvalho7637its a super hero show you fucking pillock. thats like saying captain america is an outdated character because america isn’t fighting germany. smooth brain.
@caitlyncarvalho7637it's also made clear multiple times that he is a weird and very special case and that blind people aren't like him. Remember the blind people who made the drugs. They don't have special skills.
@caitlyncarvalho7637Blind people that have been exposed to weird chemicals that give them super senses inherintly have better senses than others. That is about as likely as being bitten by a radioactive spider and getting superpowers.
Daredevil was one of my favorite comic book characters. At least in the top 5 probably even top 3. When i saw the first episode of daredevil i was reeled in and completed the whole season in one night calling into work sick the next day. I was in awe in how amazing netflix pulled off this character on screen. They hired an actor that wasn't a huge name and he absolutely nailed Matt Murdock, too the point i can't think of any other actor being able to pull this character off as well as Charlie did. I was in absolute shock when netflix literally slaughtered a show that everyone was hype for, this move just came out of no where. I mean yeah they were cancelling other netflix marvel shows but they weren't half as good as daredevil so i just assumed they were ending their smaller marvel endeavors to put more time and effort into more great seasons of daredevil. I almost cancelled my netflix subscription, the only thing that stopped me is im looking forward to ozark another great show but definitely no daredevil.
You mentioned the painting being bloodied in the final fight between matt and fisk in season 3. Its also a call back to the flashback scene in season one where fisk killed his father and got blood on the white walls. Fisk has now taken the place of his father and matt comes very close to taking the place of fisk but he stops himself at the last second.
And that's why Fisk wanted Matt to kill him. He became his father and he knew he deserved to die. A full circle was complete. But Matt broke the cycle. And that's what a hero is.
you also dont NEED to watch Defenders for it to be incredible. The only information is that a building fell, but time gaps and ghost events happen all the time between show seasons.
@@verde7595 i watched the defenders after finishing Daredevil Season 3,and tbh I loved every single second of the show. It's so well made and I'm thankful for it
@@assortedramblings9132 Oh yeah, seeing the priest and Maggie helping Matt and then genuinely starting to struggle under the weight of trying to guide him. And they messed up and said the wrong things, and it was amazing.
One of the saddest parts of the show was Frank describing his family's deaths with Matt just listening. "Meat was spilling out of her Red. From the place her face used to be."
Those episodes with frank, and the dialog between them is some of the best shit I've ever seen. Super underrated, and such a fantastic choice to have these two stories and heros with complete opposite view points come together and just talk. Matt and Frank, man what a ride.
That discussion between Daredevil and The Punisher on the rooftop may be the best scenes in television ever filmed. Both guys make great points and fully justify their perspectives. Whomever ran this series should be given the keys to the DCEU and told to reset that mess.
That's what I'm saying! I seriously don't think it's appreciated enough! That whole episode is one of the best things I've ever seen! Better than most movies! The dialog, the heart and conflict!
@John Smith fuck off, those characters aren't written in the same context as the marvel one and there is nothing wrong with that. But If you make something based on a pre existing franchise you better respect it and he didn't. I liked the Snyder cut a lot but that was him learning what he did wrong and putting it on screen and all credit to him. But it ain't good enough to be compared to this because daredevil is something too good to be compared to most things put to screen.
It's telling to the quality of a film or TV show when a conversation is the best part of it, which just makes Daredevil even more special that it has the best action scenes i have ever witnessed too. The two major talks between Daredevil and Punisher on the rooftop and in the graveyard were perfect cinema. The actors disappeared into their performances and made very good arguments.
I don't think I've ever witnessed a piece of fiction that had me bouncing back and forth between the villains and heroes as much as this show. Lol Everytime Fisk was trying to impress Vanessa, I was rooting for the guy.
@@tailedgates9 The amount of conflict and tension (especially in S3) was primarily because both the heroes and villians were so deep. The conflict of which side to support, the emotions of sympathy versus inspiration or relatability is surreal. Wanting Fisk to win, not wanting Matt to kill, Dex getting his revenge- a triple threat in S3 had me terrified until it was over
The fact that J.K. Simmons came back for J. Jonah. Jameson, and Jaime Foxx is coming back as Electro, gives me hope that at the very least, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio could come back as Daredevil and Kingpin. Edit: HELL YES!
Even if we can have a mere small cameo of Matt as Spidey's lawyer then that would be enough for a great start in the MCU as a title hero. They shouldn't recast anyone from this show. Edit: this comment aged well 😌
@@tailedgates9 Who sadly ends up being like his father. He blames Daredevil for his problems in the same way that his father did to his mother in Season 1 and in Season 3, he accepts who he truly is, making Matt's life miserable and that feeling of powerlessness that Kingpin gives off in Season 3 is phenomenal. There's so many layers to this show's symbolism from its dialogue, the wardrobe of the characters, the irony of some characters and their Arcs, and the depth and storytelling of the action scenes and how the characters move- there's so much to discover and comprehend how beautiful this show is!
@@thehobbyist7275 The reason I love this show is how morally grey the characters are I always thought Kingpin as a big bad mob guy before this show and I also like that they didn't make Vanessa completely innocent she is just as morally grey as all the characters
Being Catholic, I read a lot of daredevil as a kid and he became my favorite hero. Watching the show, it’s treatment of religious, moral, and ethical situations only enhances the depth of the show. To see how Matt evolves and devolves in each season is an absolute joy to watch.
I'm not religious; rather, I hold quite a bit of disdain towards Christianity and organized religion as someone who grew up Christian. But daredevils handling of religion still feels so masterful. Respectful of his faith while avoiding proselytizing. Fantastic.
I legit cried in season two where Daredevil and Punisher had a one on one talk in the cemetery. When Frank Castle was telling the story how he became a broken man fighting in a war, comes home to see his daughter and wife and feels so tired from all the terror he’s been in, only to have the only things that made him feel whole be taken away, it made me cry. I just completely understood him and why he did it and I could understand his pain. A mass murdering psychopath was just a broken man who lost the only things he loved in life. This show as a whole is an anomaly. It shouldn’t have been this good but it was.
Not gonna lie: I got pretty sad at the end of Defenders first time around. I was *genuinely* worried Matt bit the dust before the pre-credits scene... Thank God my favorite version of one of my favorite heroes got to have another great season before the MCU's Netflix run ended. Daredevil's an amazing show and I love that they finally did the character justice (in live-action especially)!
I know, I was seriously scared that Fisk might actually jump across the table and try to kill her. But I was pretty sure the FBI would step in, because a) if they didn't that would be dumb, and b) Matt has suffered enough, don't kill Karen.
I felt the same here too. When she uttered the words "I killed Wesley" loud and clear and Fisk started screaming, my heart stopped. I looked at his face and he genuinely look like he was about to rip her head off. This is the best acting I've seen in a while.
Daredevil S3 is quite possibly the best evolution of a show I’ve ever seen. Every character’s evolution feels so natural and there wasn’t one plotline that I wasn’t interested in. The first two seasons of the show are so well done, but season three is just… there aren’t words. Every arc is enjoyable and interesting and well-developed
"Okay, but what does that look like? Like, what do you actually see?" *"A world on fire."* One of the greatest exchanges in anything ever. There are so many layers of meaning behind the imagery in Matt's reply. Unlike in the Daredevil movie, Matt's vision isn't some pretty canvas of artful echolocation, it's literally a sea of roiling, angry energy. It describes his view of a world awash in hardship and suffering. It speaks to the Catholic interpretation of eternal torment in Hell. He's just one man, throwing bucket after futile bucket on a neverending blaze, but he can't let himself stop. Not if he can save even one life. Matt would rather *burn* than give up.
Exactly what Matt is. He is still just man, trying to do his best. Even with his extraordinary abilities, he shows he still can be broken, that he isn't some super being but he always gets back up and fights. Amazing! I miss you Matt Murduch.
@@epicamongusfan6308 eh i don't really care about the darker tone that much. I just want proper characterization. Hell, just give him a cameo and not a full-fledged arc. I'm too pessimistic when it comes to marvel characters being fleshed out properly.

@Mr.Queer, the reasons why the Netflix Marvel shows were cancelled was because the new streaming service Disney+ will use the characters even more with the shows and movies. Whenever a new movie by Disney is released (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, not 20th Century Fox) and is no longer in the theaters, it will be added to new streaming service. You can also watch it offline. It’s being released in America November 12th, 2019, but worldwide, it is unknown.
Aman Vinod Nadeem is my favorite too but I didn’t consider him important because he’s not the mirror image of Matt. Fisk childhood is the direct opposite of Matt. He’s what Matt could’ve been if Matt didn’t get compassion from his father. Punisher is what Matt could’ve been if he was pushed too far. (like what happen in season 3) Bullseye childhood is identical to Matt. He’s what Matt could’ve been if Matt never have good mentoring from Father Lantom.
The daredevil show shows that superheroes are not super and unbeatable. And yet still makes Mat look like a superhero. He survived a falling building for god's sake. And yet, he still gets tired while fighting. Showing he is somewhat normal. He's still scared and still had fears and morals. Still kind of human. Perfect balance of human and superhero.
A friend of mine put this show beautifully into words. *I'm absolutely amazed by how faithful this show was to Daredevil as a character while still being original in terms of story (or how the story plays out, anyways). I don't recall where but I've heard it once heard it said "To this day I still can't say we've ever had a version of Batman who is 100 percent true to that character down to his ideals, personality, and actions, but I can say that now for Daredevil". I truly believe Cox is already not toppable as DD, he's not just a great or the best version of Daredevil, he IS Daredevil. There's nothing left to be desired still from his performance, other than we can't see more of it.*
ÐAREÐEVIL Am I the only one who wanted to see Bullseye get revenge on Fisk and Vanessa and DD but now that season 4 is cancelled it’ll never happen....
"There's nothing left to be desired" describes my emotions towards Charlie's performance perfectly! It was so apparent he cared for the role, he really really cared for Matt and nailed every bit of him flawlessly. Will miss his performance the most.
The college scenes with Matt and Foggy are the best "Superhero can't tell his friend he's a superhero" scenes ever. Matt gets so close to telling Foggy just because they're lost in a moment. It's awesome.
Was this where peter joined fisk's company and got arrested because fisk trapped him and then j.jameson hired matt as his lawyer? Cause if it is I would love this to be televised as a beggining of daredevil spiderman crossover.
@@GeoEstes yeah, I mean, he had trained with Stick by this point, so presumably he was somewhat committed to being a vigilante (or something)... Still, seems kind of a dick move to let a person think they have more privacy around you than they do.
As a story writer, Daredevil taugh me how to develop a character into a complex, multidimensional human being and not just "someone in a show" but for them to feel so real, you care about them, about what happens to them. They make your heart pound, your stomac twists, you palms sweat. Daredevil made me care like I rarely cared about fictional characters before.
I can't stress enough how amazing this show is. It proves that it's always good to take your time. It proves that you can be dark, gritty and violent while still having optimism and hope.
“God's plan is like a beautiful tapestry, and the tragedy of being human is that we only get to see it from the back, with all the ragged threads and the muddy colors. We only get a hint at the true beauty of what would be revealed if we could see the whole pattern on the other side as God does.” That’s what I learned
I learned that Charlie Cox was British, but seriously I've followed this since it was just a rumour I watched it flower into 6 shows and I am utterly dumbfounded as to how Marvel could pass up the second coming of an actor like Hugh Jackman (wolverine) but they've sidelined Cox whose potential as Daredevil is on par with that of Jackman/wolverine and Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool Cox is a priceless talent who lived the hero he played and his Daredevil gave me the strength to fight on and not give up. Cox is like no other and I truly hope to see him in his red suit on that silver screen
I'm here, 3 years later, to tell you that your heart break, while heavy, is coming to an end soon. Charlie Cox will continue to be the man we all know he was born to be.
as someone who's dealt with depression for years, daredevil really helped me realize I wasn't alone in this feeling and how it's possible to not let your bad experiences break you but instead become stronger from them and persevere daredevil may not be the most powerful or most well-known hero in the MCU, but he is definitely the best
Also, not everyone might be as resilient as Matt Murdock, but still make a difference in the society. The show taught us this through characters like Ray Nadeem, Ben Urich, Father Lantom etc. They sacrificed their lives so that the truth can prevail. And it did.
I was raised to be in the Christian faith. My family worked in the church. Naturally, I followed in their footsteps. I attended services every Sunday. I sang the songs, underlined passages in the Bible, and was knowledgable in all areas of theology. I led classes of young children. I taught the tenets of my faith with enthusiasm. But I harbored doubts about what I believed. I struggled with anxiety and depression. I struggled with suicidal urges. I was given the impression by many in the church that such struggle was unbecoming of an adherent to the Christian faith. My interests also did not completely align to those of the church. I wished to write stories of excellent quality, but I was told that only stories within the Christian faith were welcome in the church. I wished to be vulnerable, but I was told that I must swallow my hurt and be a man. I felt as if there was no place for someone like myself. I hid from the world. It was "Daredevil" that changed that. The character of Matt Murdock showed me that someone with faith can struggle, suffer, and harbor doubts. He showed me that someone who struggled is human. He showed me that the "man without fear" is the one who gets back up and faces the world, even while afraid. I am currently in the process of receiving help for my struggles as I write. There are many in the church that do not understand but I am unafraid of their judgment. I am not any less of a man, or a Christian, for struggling with mental health. I write continually, penning stories and poems daily. Matt Murdock inspired me to be creative and to seek help, and for that I will always be grateful to the show.
Tyler Rush I’m so glad you took the time to say all this, that’s amazing. I’m proud of you and you should also be proud of yourself for all that your working on. You have heart!
Great post man. But I was actually reading 2 Corinthians and the Apostle Paul and he talked about the thorn in his flesh. He was talking about struggling with his weaknesses and all the life threatening experiences had. When I first read the Bible I was stunned to find so many messed up people. I was molested as a child and grew up angry, mentally ill. I struggle with sexual lust now but I know in my heart that God will pull me through. I felt like I overcame but it's definitely a daily struggle. I can relate to Matt Murdock as well. Its like I feel like I'm two different people and I was raised in the Church as well. Keep believing and know that you're never alone. There are people on here and offline and have the same issues. It frustrates me that more churches aren't honest about what Believers face but we are. Peace.
@The one and only Amen. Apostle Paul straight up murdered, and had the hand in killing The Lord's followers. David had a man killed in war so he could have his wife. Moses killed a man, Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. I was mentally ill, angry and self destructive. I struggle with sexual sin so im not where I want to be but I'm not where I was. I'll miss Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. He truly poured his soul into his character.
I literally shook and said wow goddamn in the scene with kingpin and Karen when she was telling him that she killed Wesley. Just the acting was amazing in that scene.

@AeroFhazed I'd rather not have a Daredevil show than have watered down D+ Daredevil series. Daredevil, for me, has what I feel a lot of other superhero media kind of lacks- it has a soul. There are questions there, questions about faith and morality and things all tangled up in complex ways. The Karen/Matt scenes from early season 2 are freaking brilliant, the conversations between Matt and Fisk, Matt and Frank are brilliant, the quiet moments where they aren’t afraid to just Let the Characters Feel Things is much needed in an era where I feel like show runners treat character moments like a chore… And I haven’t even talked about the action yet. What a brilliant fucking series. Goddamn
I never thought I would actually like daredevil in my life. Before I watched this show I never thought daredevil was that cool. But daredevil is now one of my favorite fictional characters.
My brief experience with him in the comics were like yeah cool, cute shtick. But the show... Damn. The TV show is so many great things concentrated and artfully assembled, I even found myself deeply enjoying the damn wardrobe choices, like the near black version of his suit in s2's meat fridge scene to make the red of all the meat pop more, to the pop of red of the red t-shirt neckline under his black shirt in the end of s3 when he had decided to snap off Fisk's neck and it was like he was heading to his own funeral, to the brilliant choice of using the white and black nun cloth in s3's mask... I just rewatched all the seasons last week, and damn watching it like that instead of a few a week or however I originally watched it, with season breaks, really brings home how much of a work of art the show is from absolutely everyone involved.
@@aryan7767 This is my first time reading comics but is it just me or this series is fucking amazing? Maybe I haven't developed good taste in comics or something but it's pretty good. It's like Daredevil season 4.

This is exactly what I was thinking when this show was canceled. We didn’t deserve this masterpiece. I wanted this show to continue like everyone else but I’m so glad we got 3 wonderful seasons of a show this incredible, especially with an ending as happy as season 3’s finale. I’m not gonna lie this video got me choked up. I remember that the year was 2015. Back when Daredevil was in its infancy and just a simple idea with a world of possibilities. I’d just finished watching a series of some show on Netflix and I needed a new show to watch. Daredevil had been out for a few weeks and I didn’t plan on watching it but I needed a new show to watch so I watched the pilot and my life changed forever. I became hooked and Daredevil became my favorite superhero and tv show. It’s fucking brilliant. The show’s look and feel is unique and intense. From the cinematography to how detailed the shots are, it’s just fantastic. The acting is top notch and so are the fight scenes. THAT SEASON 1 HALLWAY FIGHT SCENE IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS EVER CAPTURED ON FILM, FIGHT ME! The characters are so well written and you genuinely care about them. I love this show in every way and it means a lot to me. Daredevil has changed my life. You see a few years ago I was diagnosed with a disease called Chronic Pancreatitis which is the inflammation of the Pancreas. I’m in pain pretty much everyday. Daredevil showed me that you can chase your dreams and be who you wanna be in life even if you have a disability, a disease, etc in life! It kills me on the inside that this show has been cancelled. I’m tearing up as I write this. It just sucks. I love this show and I always will. It’s a part of me now. Daredevil has taught me a lot of things but he showed me the most important one of all, to never have fear in life and for that I am truly grateful.
Pancreatitis is incredibly painful. Had the misfortune to be hospitalized with it once. Mine was related to autoimmune issues. The only reason sharing this is to suggest you might try finding if you have food intolerances that trigger symptoms. Doctors are useless about testing for that sort of thing. Instead of $10,000 injections and annual multi-week hospitalizations for various multiple auto-immune conditions, I cut out gluten, dairy, all grains and soy. Not fun, but it got rid of all symptoms. If yours is autoimmune, it's really worth a shot. There's a book by Sarah Ballantyne, PhD which explains what works and why. Hope you feel better. (& Daredevil was too good)
Much of the source material is quite good, so I recommend, if you got the time to read, the DD Comics written by Ann Nocentti and tthe Frank Miller phase too...
SERIOUSLY, that final scene from Season 3 , where Daredevil is doing his "winning speech" to Fisk is EASILY the best scene I've seen in ANY , yes , any superhero live action content on screen , imo it even beats the Jokers speech scenes and interrogation scene in Batman: The Dark Knight. The acting , the Impact , the satisfying conclusion , Hecox's Voice acting and ESPECIALLY that phenomenal score that grows for each phrase Matthew finishes is just , gorgeous . I want someone to give me an example of a scene from a Super hero movie/series that tops this one. Daredevil may have been unfairly canceled , but it went out at it's Peak.
Agreed on Cox's performance being incredible. I would say the scene where Tony Stark finds out Bucky killed his parents in Civil War is pretty powerful. The acting RDJ does with just his face and eyes alone is fantastic. Just my 2 cents
Really well put, dude. In my mind, Season 3 is one of the best tributes to Stan Lee and Marvel's legacy. The characters are all human, flawed, ambiguous and three-dimensional. And we want to see if and how they can overcome their demons in spite of such odds. The comic book pulp is just set dressing, as it should be. Again, great little editorial. I enjoy your sense of humour.
For all the that Disney got right with Marvel, I think Raimi's Spiderman and this TV show are the things that translated "MARVEL" the best to live action, what Stan Lee started making in the '60s: REAL PEOPLE WHO HAPPENS TO WEAR TIGHTS.
Samuel Gavin Am I the only one who wanted to see Bullseye get revenge on Fisk and Vanessa and DD but now that season 4 is cancelled it’ll never happen....
I just finished rewatching Daredevil. Series 1 to 3 (including Defenders)- and just. I nearly cried at the end of Series 3. Seeing the main three back together as Attorneys at Law, and Wilson Fisk finally defeated- No more secrets, no more lies- pure honesty, trust and love. Best ending ever. I love this show so much. By far, it is the best thing in the entire MCU and I 100% mean that.
Season 1 was incredible and season 3 was absolutely breathtaking, and I wish season 2 focused more on Frank instead of the hand, because then in my opinion it would have been perfect as well
I actually liked the hand in s2, they provided Fisk with an even bigger presence (was that even possible?????), and that was welcomed after Wesley death
That's why season 1 of The Punisher is absolutely perfect. It's all of the best parts of Daredevil season 2. I thought punisher was better until season 3 of Daredevil and season 2 of the punisher. It's a shame it had to end badly when the first season ended so beautifully. The last thing in season one is Frank saying "I'm scared"
I was 17 when season 1 came out and, as someone who was beginning to get into filmmaking at the time, Daredevil taught me so much. Techniques such as associating colours to characters, low-key lighting, writing three dimensional characters, how to pace dialogue scenes and how to get great shots. So much of Daredevil's cinematography and directing has influenced my own films. I'm 21 now and am currently directing my biggest project to date and I can say hands down that I would not be the filmmaker I am today without the masterclass filmmaking textbook that is Daredevil! Also, Alex, your RUclips channel rocks!

You excellently summed up exactly why this show worked so brilliantly. I've seen your old videos and remember how much you constantly praised Daredevil, it's only fitting you'd send it off like this.
When I first watched Daredevil Season 3 in the scene where Matt gave his final victory speech I started crying, when he screamed "You will rot knowing that this city rejects you, know it beat you, Knowing I BEAT you!" I got chills, I cried, because when I saw it, I had already known the show was canceled, I just sat there after the last episode ended and just cried. I sat for an hour crying, balling, with tears all over me, not knowing what to do, I dont want it to go, I just want it to stay forever, Cox is literally the perfect actor, not just for daredevil, he is the perfect actor, I don't want to know what to do, I want it back, I want it back.
My feeling also, when I heard that it was cancelled it made me feel like a friend had died! Been a Movie fan all my life and a Daredevil fan since my first Daredevil comic in April 1964! I've cancelled my Netflix an will never have Disney. Only if DareDevil is brought back with all the same people involved! PERIOD!
I have no words to describe how thankful I am for this video. Daredevil is probably my favorite TV series and, thanks to this show, my favorite all in all superhero. I've come back to this video every time it appeared on my recommendations section for the last 2 years and every single time it gives me goosebumps and makes me realize HOW LUCKY I am to have seen this show, which is criminally underrated and the best superhero adaptation of all time. Anyways, love your video essays
Same man, never knew how much this show would affect my life and how much it means to me now, we'll never see a show as good as daredevil, but I'm grateful had it in the first place
I still can't forget how much goosebumps they gave me in the scene (S03E08, 47:18) when Maggie was praying in the church to Jack, and Matt actually heard her prayers and revealed who Maggie is to Matt when he was training with his punching bags. That scene could never get old for me, I replayed that particular scene for more than 10 times. The song in the background just tops it off perfectly.
I remember I couldn't stop rhetorically asking myself,"what just happened?" Getting louder every time I said that over a minute period. That scene was such a shock to me
Daredevil inspired me to work harder while training for my blackbelt, and continues to do so now while working on my 2nd degree. Training. It's important. Real heroes pant, and keep going when they're clearly too tired to stand up straight.
@@cowboybhop42 lol just calling it how i see it. If you want to work hard for something with a great reason, fantastic. If you want to get a blackbelt because you think it looks cool on a tv show thats pretty cringy.

One of the saddest parts of the show was Frank describing his family's deaths with Matt just listening. "Meat was spilling out of her Red. From the place her face used to be."
this show has some masterful dialogue
It's a monologue any actor would kill for, and Jon Bernthal executed it perfectly. Made me genuinely feel for Frank Castle.
During that scene, you can see a drop of sweat flow below DD's cowl, it looks like a Tear Drop.
Those episodes with frank, and the dialog between them is some of the best shit I've ever seen. Super underrated, and such a fantastic choice to have these two stories and heros with complete opposite view points come together and just talk. Matt and Frank, man what a ride.
but we know the saddest part of all was when the show got cancelled *tear goes down my cheek*
It's getting reset
@John Smith what lol how is this guy a tool
The way they developed the villains almost as much as the heros
If not even more at some points
yea most tv shows give like 1 hour of screentime to the villain out of like the entire season, bs
I don't think I've ever witnessed a piece of fiction that had me bouncing back and forth between the villains and heroes as much as this show. Lol Everytime Fisk was trying to impress Vanessa, I was rooting for the guy.
There was apparently a backstory or arc for Nobu that got scrapped. Curious what that would’ve added
@@tailedgates9 The amount of conflict and tension (especially in S3) was primarily because both the heroes and villians were so deep. The conflict of which side to support, the emotions of sympathy versus inspiration or relatability is surreal. Ah yes, the time when Netflix was a little bit respectful of Christianity, most especially Catholicism

One of the greatest exchanges in anything ever.

Amen to that sir. But we can always rewatch this gold mine of pure comic book essence whenever.

"There's nothing left to be desired" describes my emotions towards Charlie's performance perfectly! It was so apparent he cared for the role, he really really cared for Matt and nailed every bit of him flawlessly. Will miss his performance the most.
Well now we do have one for Batman and daredevil so W
The college scenes with Matt and Foggy are the best "Superhero can't tell his friend he's a superhero" scenes ever. Matt gets so close to telling Foggy just because they're lost in a moment. It's awesome.
Was this where peter joined fisk's company and got arrested because fisk trapped him and then j.jameson hired matt as his lawyer? Cause if it is I would love this to be televised as a beggining of daredevil spiderman crossover.
Matt didn't become a superhero until after they graduated. Or did you mean not telling Foggy about his enhanced abilities?
@@GeoEstes The latter.
@@MrSilvUr Yeah. It does seem Matt should have told him at some point after presumably being roomies for four years.
Jangler333 😂😂 I'll keep this in mind
I can't stress enough how amazing this show is. It proves that it's always good to take your time. It proves that you can be dark, gritty and violent while still having optimism and hope.
“God's plan is like a beautiful tapestry, and the tragedy of being human is that we only get to see it from the back, with all the ragged threads and the muddy colors. We only get a hint at the true beauty of what would be revealed if we could see the whole pattern on the other side as God does.” That’s what I learned

as someone who's dealt with depression for years, daredevil really helped me realize I wasn't alone in this feeling and how it's possible to not let your bad experiences break you but instead become stronger from them and persevere
daredevil may not be the most powerful or most well-known hero in the MCU, but he is definitely the best

God bless you!

@RedEye, the reasons why the Netflix Marvel shows were cancelled was because the new streaming service Disney+ will use the characters even more with the shows and movies.

Mike Leng Thanks! I’ll try to check it out!👌
Bruh now Im crying😪
I'll never forgive Netflix for this
SERIOUSLY, that final scene from Season 3 , where Daredevil is doing his "winning speech" to Fisk is EASILY the best scene I've seen in ANY , yes , any superhero live action content on screen , imo it even beats the Jokers speech scenes and interrogation scene in Batman: The Dark Knight.
Kakakarot Cake it’s going to Disney+
I wouldn't go that far.
Daniel Z-V Spiderman 2 Train scene is also one of the best scenes in super hero movies
@@amarson2322 Definitely , but I the whole scenario and context of the scene I describe makes it go beyond the Train scene imo.
It’s so awesome to see your comment. Big fan of your work! I hope to see Sam’s Channel make a triumphant return soon.

I'm tempted to make a metareview about why we don't deserve this review.
Season 1 was incredible and season 3 was absolutely breathtaking, and I wish season 2 focused more on Frank instead of the hand, because then in my opinion it would have been perfect as well
They had to force The Hand in because of Defenders
I agree but s2 is very underrated
I feel s2 should have focused on one or the other. To me it seemed like they wanted grounded Punisher stuff as well as supernatural ninja stuff
