as a master calamity malice mode spanker I also could never imagine someone doing what I did with a hardcore character, I had around a thousand deaths to bosses alone. it would be impossible without cheesing
As someone who is admitting to using an All Items world, I keep a separate character for that world, it’s (for me) mostly for testing things, experimenting, building stupid or useless crap, basically I use it to goof off when I feel like playing “Terraria without effort”
I too, have an all item world. ... I am also a builder, and have multiple post-moon lord worlds. The all item world exists solely because I don't feel like crafting 7000 blocks of iridescent mudstone bricks, or wasting ores and ingots on blocks. Also we sometimes do challenge runs, where we all pick a build we can use starting in pre-hardmode with certain items locked until specific boss kills or events like WoF being defeated. And the fun part of the challenge runs is that they sometimes make pre-hardmode easier (or harder, depending), but the accessories or armor you chose, you can't get rid of. You're stuck with it for the entire run. Which in certain situations limits the accessories you can use late-game.
I have an all item world if an item I'm trying to get is taking me wayyy too long to get, If that lava charm takes too long for me to get I'm using the all items world to grab it
As a person who plays Terraria regularly. I feel these guys. I was the noob the first time my friends bought me the game. And I was given the summoner role so I didn’t have to worry about fighting. Personally I use item worlds only for basic items that don’t change progression such as building blocks, living wood/leaf wands, etc. But using them for anything other than that is dumb.
people who want to grind less? people who don't have as much spare time as 8th grade fellas? just straight up casuals (the least part of journey mode community though)? like, journey mode has duplication and difficulty changing. you can play master mode without grinding 70 platinum bars and 30 life crystals for you and your friend. journey mode is like an official quality of life mod. @@castlebuild
To me, Hardcore is the best way to play cause you don't lose your world, just your characher and the items in your chest, so everytime I die I just make a new character, arrange a funeral for the previous one and try out new builds with the items left in the chests. It really keeps the game fresh, and adds another meaning to building other than just looking good, as it's buildings are the only things that persist when your character dies.

I love hardcore terraria, it actually makes me sit and plan out every single idea I have before acting, and I can confidently say that no other game has done the same lol.
Yes! I play exclusively master mode hardcore for this very reason. Gotta plan, prep, terraform, and buff, and even if I die it just means I get to actually experience joy from a new world's randomness, because every small treasure helps *immensely* in the beginning in one way or another.
@@gsgaming6976 I still have been wishing Master Mode had added a little more. Maybe it is worth it though, that Mourning Wood mount is my favorite.

I was getting items from servers but when I played the actual game it was more fun and you are right we all use the wiki

Mediumcore players: "Look at what they need to mimic a fraction of our power"
Playing medium core didn't really feel like it made much of a difference. Just ended up carrying less items on my player and downgrading accessories when exploring so I don't lose them. Hardcore though, that one had me doing set up for setups to setup a setup. Every action you do feels impactful.
The miner deserves those crystals. They went and earned them, and then they got more for us.

As a miner in Terraira it is true that i use all the life crystals to get 400 HP

Thank you for acknowledging us miners. We will indeed be consuming all the heart crystals. I also have many heart lanterns. I have nor regrets my 120hp, fully kitted freind.
The miner has every right to use every heart crystal. They’re the one getting everything for everyone
Forgot one, the friend who's played the game for several years when you first start, you start a multiplayer world and they join covered in the best shit in the game, and just give you all the post-game stuff you could ever dream of
Honestly I hate that. For serious survival I will only play if everyone makes a new character for each world
@charliebork8699 yep, that happened with me, I graciously accepted it all, but it ruined my experience, but luckily I played 1.2 on my old iPad before playing 1.3 (at the time I restarted the game) so I've still gotten a great experience with the game, just on the old version
If someone does that with me in a game they're immediately banned from any interaction with me. I hate handouts like that especially when I'm trying to enjoy something for the first time ever.

Got called out on that accurate description of The Builder.
Congrats to those players who made their Legendary difficulty world to have that golden frame with crown.
I mostly use it to have custom vanity sets for each play through I do

Let’s be real, those are everywhere.
Is that my character
My freind forced me to do hardcore without even playing anything else
To me, Hardcore is the best way to play cause you don't lose your world, just your characher and the items in your chest, so everytime I die I just make a new character, arrange a funeral for the previous one and try out new builds with the items left in the chests.
It really keeps the game fresh, and adds another meaning to building other than just looking good, as it's buildings are the only things that persist when your character dies.
