    i wanna ask ...is it necessary to explain children wd this vc cv n such terms...i mean it's far more easier to explain to break according to spoken sounds of a word...nai?? n my students already understand in the way im doing...so still is it necessary to go wd this pattern..just to acknowledge myself ...

      You can break the words as you speak them if you already know the pronunciation but if there's a new word you need to know the rules of syllabication.

    Maam can you please explain
    Is it cab/in or ca/bin?

    • @HomeschoolingwithHira
      @HomeschoolingwithHira  2 месяца назад +1

      It's ca/bin.
      is saying its long sound because of the open syllable.

    Ma'am one doubt.Disastrous . If we decode in this way -- Di sas trous . Then 'Di' open syllable, I sounds long I. But, you said it sounds short sound . Will you please explain me.

      Any vowel can say the schwa sound anywhere - a short /uh/ sound - even at the position of an open syllable.
      Watch the video on schwa to understand this concept, please.

    In Characteristic? Char...why /h/ is silent here?

    • @HomeschoolingwithHira
      @HomeschoolingwithHira  Год назад

      CH has three sounds that depend on the origin of words.
      Ch as in chips - English origin
      Ch as in technology (silent k) - Greek origin
      CH as in chef (French origin)
      We don't have any rules to find when to say which sound but a dictionary can help you.

    Can we have a syllable containing only a shwa?

      Yes, for example, e/vent (uh/vent)

      @@HomeschoolingwithHira what type of syllable is this?

    • @HomeschoolingwithHira
      @HomeschoolingwithHira  6 месяцев назад

      @@hanaamohammed1324 open syllable. In open syllable, vowels usually say their long sounds but they can also make a schwa sound.

    Open syllables says I itself na not e sound

    • @HomeschoolingwithHira
      @HomeschoolingwithHira  11 месяцев назад

      Letter i has lots of exceptions when it comes to pronunciation. In many open syllables positions, "I" says the long e sound instead of saying its sound. And unfortunately, we don't have any rules for this.

      In every syllable, we must have a vowel.
      In your first syllables, there isn't any. /Char/ is the first syllable together
