I have the Auto function but it’s unstable. I find in bright sunshine they come on as soon as switching to auto. Also on the odd occasion they did work when coming out of a tunnel they didn’t switch off. Any ideas?
I was confused whether I was using my regular headlights versus high beams. I know it would be HB because the blue high beam symbol would appear in the dash gauges but still! The headlights are dang bright!
I literally get flashed when I drive at night because people think my HB are on. And sometimes if I think quick enough I’ll flash them my HB to prove to them that my regular lights are just bad ass
I totally agree! The headlights are very bright which has made me think the day lights are the headlights
I think there should be an green A to show automatic. They are dipped if too much light. My wife's CX5 turns the direction of the lights too.

We had to disconnect the battery of our 2014 Mazda 5 yesterday and since reconnecting it the Auto Up/Down drivers window shopped being Auto, and the lights also stopped being Auto. I was able to find out how to reset the window but can't find anything about why the auto lights would stop working. Any ideas?
I have a 2013 2.5 petrol mazda 6, when i have auto on, highbeams nor foglights will go on, regardless of how dark it is... I have to use the normal lights option to use highbeams
Hi Jay, I have a 2022 Mazda 6 Atenza sedan (Australian top of the range?) I am keeping my headlight stalk in the Auto position, and keeping it pushed forward all the time, However my high beam lights are not coming on or going off as they should be? ie dark and light area's. Also noticed when i start the car, the light with the "A" comes on but then goes off and stays off? Which is not the case with my wife's 2019 Mazda 3 sedan as her's stays on all the time, with the same settings in place? Any thoughts please?
I just got a 2020 grand touring. The first night coming home I put the lights on auto because I thought that would do the auto on/off like my old car. The next morning I had a dead battery. I assumed the lights were set wrong. Now I'm wondering if they aren't working properly.

Thank you for the info you put out there for us Mazda lovers. I have a 2004 Mazda 6i. I’m trying to get foglights installed (bumper mounted) but I’ve come into some questions. Ive heard in forums ppl saying that the wiring is already there. Is this true? Also, there’s the fact that my headlights have a “dummy” foglight already. Can that one be turned on? The foglights I purchased comes with the lights, the harness and a switch. The switch looks like it matches and mounts on the empty slot nexts to the traction control on/off. Is that a better option vs buying the turn signal stem switch that has the foglight on/off switch integrated? Any advice or input is highly appreciated given that there’s not much info online.

Only my daytime running lights are working at night on both sides, a bulb out on one would just effect one, could it be the BCM or ??? 2019 CX-5 Sport. Do you know?

Omg same, whats the point of having parking lights if you can't use them while driving during the day like I prefer to. ( & yes I know they are called "parking lights" but seriously lol)
@@thatsovanessa i traded it in for at 21’ Corolla and have the same issue, only I’m adding my own accent LED lights to use and DRLs instead.

I own the 2019 cx-5. I was wondering if it’s possible to get panoramic moonroof install for cx-5?
I wouldn't mess with an aftermarket moon/sunroof setup of any kind. Can be very prone to moisture damage over time, not to mention, I wouldn't put a pano moonroof in a car that wasn't designed with one in mind. Reduces its structural capability. It's like cutting a truss off of a bridge. I wouldn't risk crash safety for a pano moonroof.
Can you turn on the fog lights without the headlights on
Can you tell me where do you buy a conversion kit to change the headlights to an automatic sensor? Our car doesn't have the auto feature. I saw how to do it online but doesn't say where to buy the kit.
Hi Heather, sorry I have no idea about any conversion kit. Best to talk to your local Mazda dealership's service dept. to get the right advice.
I recently switched to CX30, and found that it was impossible to turn off the head lights while the car is moving, which is inconvenient. I'd always turn off the head lights when there is a pedestrian crossing the street so that the driver in the opposing lane can see the pedestrian. Can a dealer modify the switch?

I got fined due to auto headlights somehow didn’t work, headlights were not on. Road was fair bright at 9pm, at least bright enough for me not noticed that the lights were not on. I could see road and drive without any problem.Then stopped by the police, crying, $278 fine.
auto high beam feature in mazda doesnt work properly after a year, because engineers decided not to mount it hermetically due to fog. They forgot that it just gets dirty and tacky because of natural moisture in air. if u dont clean it yourself your car will blind other drivers. mazda service center didnt see any problem. i reported it twice and they said that it just doesnt work properly in foggy weather which is actually mentioned in user manual.

So maybe you think your fog lights are busted because they won't turn on when you turn on the fog lights dial. Hold on. Hold on that thought. Don't be thinking going the mechanic or to Autoparts store and spending your hard earned money. The fog lights won't turn if the headlights are off. So turn on your headlights, then turn on fog lights. Good luck. (Don't turn on headlights via auto mode, you go to the manual turn on mode, okay coz if you are on automode, fog lights won't turn on) -Mazda CX-5 2015
This works on literally any car (unless your car HAS no fog lights or have aftermarket fog lights).
Every make car requires your headlights to be on to work the foglights.
