My husband and I watched your videos before our trip to Italy, they helped a lot, especially the ones on transportation because we didn't rent a car. We took small carry-ons but I wish I would have taken a backpack because of the stairs, cobblestone streets and catching trains and buses. We also washed our clothes every chance we got, we traveled for 18 days. I took a bike backpack that folds up small enough to put in a pocket, that was what I used for shopping for groceries and gifts. One tip that I learned about the trains, there is a published schedule at the station which tells you which track a train number will use. BTW, thanks so much for answered my question about using our prebought train tickets, it worked out so beautifully. We also bought almost every one of our tickets online and avoided waiting hours to buy tickets.

This is great, thank you. You recently advised me on appropriate time to spend in Italy based on a 10 day stay. Now this, so helpful as we just finalized our plans and we will be in Venice June 2 - 6 and then to Rome June 6 - June 12.

For charging phones ... I would strongly recommend bringing a battery booster. Walking for hours on end, I almost always burned through my phone battery.

Another great video filled with amazing tip. One thing we do is bring underwear and socks that we intend to discard. After we wear it we toss it. We have a washer in the apartment so we don’t need to bring as much but at the end of the trip, it’s tossed. Also going to check out Wise and most likely use that instead of our bank debit card. Great info guys.

Hello guys! I have been binge-watching your videos for 2 weeks now. Very informative! My husband and I will be visiting 4 cities in Italy for 2 weeks in mid June. We are not bringing any checked luggages. I have been debating if shall I bring a carry-on luggage or a carry-on backpack. I will greatly appreciate your suggestions! Thank you for all your videos!

We're getting ready for our upcoming trip to Italy for three weeks next month and have been enjoying your very informative videos! We do have a question about laundry for our clothing. Do most hotels have washers and dryers available, and if so, are they usually complimentary or must we bring additional coins to insert into the machines? We'll be travelling by train to many of the major cities and staying in hotels for three days in each city. We're hoping that we can get by with packing clothes for one week, and doing laundry two or three times for the three week trip. Thank you so much and keep up the great videos!!! Dennis and Tammy

Thank you for your feedback guys! Unfortunately most hotel do not have washer and dryer. Most hotel offer laundry service but they charge a lot of money. You can find laundromat in most cities that you can use.

On the hair appliances I suggest buying a flat iron or curling iron with euro plug before your trip. I have one I’ve had for six years bought on eBay works great, my daughter bought a flat iron with euro plug on Amazon. No need to bring a hair dryer everywhere you stay should have one.

We’ll be in Italy for 6.5 days. Fly in and out of Milan. What would be the y’all suggestion for the best itinerary for this trip? We forsure want to visit lake Como/Rome/Naple.

Hello Omar, in 6 and half days it is a bit difficult to visit all those places. The best way of doing would be flying into Naples, then go to Rom and then ending up in Milan to visit Lake Como

i booked through AirBnB, they request tourist tax of $4 or $6 per person per night, paid in cash, does that sound right? why can't they collect when booking, but have to collect cash?

    • @TravelAddictsLife

Yes a lot of B&B don’t want to pay credit card fees to collect taxes that they have to give to the government

Gentlemen, still not 100% clear on shorts for men. My wife and I will be in Florence, Lucca, Bologna first week in June. Understood that knees and shoulders must be covered in cathedrals and churches, and restaurants may have dress code. Outside of that, non-athletic shorts acceptable for men for typical tourist spots? (Museums, Leaning Tower Pisa ..)
