Such a good explanation. Thanks a lot! I just arrived at this stage of surfing. But what helps too is knowing your spot. Go out there also when the circumstances are not optimal. That will accelerate your learning heaps and heaps. Windy, low tide, no swell, etc. You will experience what variables make the surf in that place more and less difficult. So go out there in all kinds off low surf. And keep in mind, take off at the peak, look behind, commit fully, don't be scared. Read the waves. And don't forget: pop up quick, stand up late. Low is key if you wanna make it till the end of the wave. First make sure you make the wave. Lean into the wave, make the banana shape and have fun! 😎🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
