@@SurfInsight Yeah, good stuff. I've been to Sri-Lanka a couple of times. Found some good waves at Wiligama, although can be a bit crowdy, Mirissa and around the area in October. Right before it started throwing pipes in November storms. :)

Perfect timing! Got psyched out for lack of strength leading up to a heart repair and slowly working up to unbroken waves now. (Lock down's haven't helped any either). Had a great day with the kids at Doheny the other evening so I'm ready! A problem for me in Oceanside beach breaks is reading which wave to take because of lack of consistency. Some jump up and close out and some "peal" still it's all good! Thanks so much Tim! BTW which camp do you usually coach at?
Hi Jim..I'm in Lanzarote but not coaching at the moment ..My excellent team doing that... I'm in a fight with stage 3 rectal cancer so its a tough one....but working like hell to get my schools to survive Covid 19. Good to hear you got some waves and get one for me next time out !

Perfect timing! Got psyched out for lack of strength leading up to a heart repair and slowly working up to unbroken waves now. (Lock down's haven't helped any either). Had a great day with the kids at Doheny the other evening so I'm ready! A problem for me in Oceanside beach breaks is reading which wave to take because of lack of consistency. Some jump up and close out and some "peal" still it's all good! Thanks so much Tim! BTW which camp do you usually coach at?
Hi Jim..I'm in Lanzarote but not coaching at the moment ..My excellent team doing that... I'm in a fight with stage 3 rectal cancer so its a tough one....but working like hell to get my schools to survive Covid 19. Good to hear you got some waves and get one for me next time out !

@@SurfInsight Good luck Tim, praying for your recovery. Love your tips. As I've progressed, I've moved to a spot with better waves, and better surfers, so I get to practice visual awareness, and the slide back braking method a lot!

Didn't know about slope drag locking your surfboard. I thought my paddling was weak. Haven't used it as a signal to wait for wave to lift then popup. I'm a right in explaining it?

how when I paddel into a nice incoming wave ,........... how do I best turn , spin ???.... and catch the wave (and that for a longboard ) Thanks Tim.

With longboards its best to sit as far back as you can and hold one rail and sit and spin and you can find out more about that in this video ruclips.net/video/K5IMkqDk9Is/видео.html Yes you can paddle in a slight curve but only if you have a lot of time ..
