I Review the different Off-Road 4wd Level options (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) for my 2022 RAM 2500 Power Wagon. I Discuss the off-road upgrades of each power wagon level and weather or not it's worth it to upgrade your power wagon level from factory.
I hope everyone is having a good week! I was always curious what exactly the power wagon levels where and what exactly where in them as off road options. so I started with the base level truck and you get a ton of offroad options standard like the locking differentials, warn winch, 2 inch factory lift. wrangler duratrac all terrain tires and many more goodies.
    Level 1 power wagon level:
so this package is the least expensive and comes with a couple of cool option liked heated seats and heated steering wheel but unfortunately no actually offroad or mechanical upgrades
Level 2 power wagon equipment package:
    - like the Level 1 this option althought packed with tons of cool tech and options has no off road or mechanical upgrades
Level 3 Power Wagon Equipment Package:
    - Here we see our first off road difference. This package includes the electric 4wd shifter and gets rid of the manual stick on the floor. However this is the only things that really changes. there are 0bviously tons and tons of options with this package and this would basicly be equivalent to a fully loaded truck.
there is a final package availible called the "off-road package". and this is where you get the bead locking rims and mopar rail guards for your rockers. this is a cool little package.
so it seems like the power wagon levels are just trim levels and have little to do with the off road ability of the truck. it would be cool to see ram actually have off road levels for the power wagon but maybe down the road.
I hope you guys liked the video!

I bought a power wagon tradesman brand new in 2018 for $43,000 but the msrp was $51,000 Cincinnati Ohio. I had a 2016 power wagon with all of the bells and whistles that I never used or needed. That truck was $64,000. The power wagon tradesman is the best decision I ever made on a vehicle. It has everything I need for $20,000 less.

Just installed a new hidden winch on my '14 2500 Outdoorsman. Bought ViceDesigns hidden winch subframe out of BC, a TYT 12K synthetic rope winch off Prime and replaced the cheap wiring that comes with it with a custom made control setup using a water proof 6X6 electrical box and 40 feet of #1 (2 Gauge) Welding Cable and a sealed j-box to enclose the inline 300Amp caps. Turned out better than I thought it would. All told, I'm in for $2000 total with the subframe and copper cable being the most expensive components at $900 and $500 respectfully. I think thats pretty equal to the cost of just a second tier Warn winch by itself.

Alex, I completely disagree about levels changing off-road worthiness. The levels are bling. I am buying a PW for function. Manual transfer case. Wish it came with manual hubs. I ordered level 1, quick order 2. 8.4 inch screen. I want a truck.

I purchased the 2021 Anniversary and love it... I think it has an interior similar to the Limited. It's the most luxurious vehicle that I have ever had. I still cant get used to the electronic transfer case, but it works every time so far. At times I wish I had the bench seats though.

If you order one online they’re $57,000 base model. The tradesmen was actually the original power wagon before they came out with the new design. It came out in 2019 before the new grill and headlights. I actually purchased the tradesmen power wagon you can still get it in different trim levels bighorn etc. I only payed 44,000 in 2021. The thing that I like about it there’s no one in my area that has one .individuals with power wagons are always asking me about mine.

Great information, thank you. I'm currently looking to buy a used Power Wagon 2022 or newer with less than 30k miles on it. I've got $60k (usd) in the bank to pay for the truck, sales tax, and registration. I keep hearing both private sellers and dealers mentioning Level 1, 2, or 3 trim and before this video I had no idea what they were talking about....now I do. I want all the comfort bells and whistles since I'm going to use the truck to tow a 4,400 lb. travel trailer to remote lakes and other locations to just sit and enjoy some fishing and mother nature. I won't be doing the Rubicon with it but I want the ability to get into and out of some pretty remote areas and I don't want mud or snow to be a no-go when I want to get out of town.

I have a 22’ PW lvl 1 with tow tech, alpine speakers and 8.4 Navi. I wanted to have some “essentials” while trying to keep the door sticker payload as high as possible. Payload #1522 lbs.
I also liked the bench seat and the floor shifter. I do wish I had the passive door entry which came on the lvl 2 and 3.

Just bought a ‘21 PW lv. 2 last week. Electronic transfer case was a deal breaker for me on a few trucks I looked at. Really wanted the bench and the on the floor T case shifter. In a perfect world only thing I’d change on mine is aesthetics (wish I had the green w all black rims). Otherwise this thing is optioned perfect. Nicest interior of any car I’ve owned and more off road capable than just about any factory vehicle available

I own a 2022 Level 2 group PW, And yes it’s more CONVENIENCE Group… Cameras, Heated and Cooled Seats, 12” Infotainment center, bed liner, foot step for bed, with lights in bed, and power outlet…🤷🏻‍♂️👍 and while the Function comes with it I like Convenience as well, in other words I’m a Hyatt, Marriott type of Guy and I like Being in Comfort when I go Camping… 🤷🏻‍♂️ And I bought my PW in June of 2021 as a 2022 year model and paid under $68K and ordered it with my choices in CA. Which is now unheard of…🤦🏻‍♂️

i like the fact that the trims dont really change the capability. The Power Wagon line is designed to be an off road work horse, typically that is the entire reason for looking at the Power Wagon line. I would rather be able to purchase a base model relatively cheap that can do anything i need it to and then if i have some extra cash upgrade some comfort related features. I would hate to need something that was as capable as a Power Wagon but now that i could get one with just lockers or lockers and sway bar disconnect no winch and so on, that now the price starts to get higher which could happen for many reasons i.e. well we have this one that has lockers but its decked out with tech and so on. the more things become options the more difficult it can become to get exactly what you are looking for especially with the "chip" shit going on now. IMO give me a fully capable baseline and if i have extra money laying around i will look for some with extra comfort features. I am happy with by 2019, it has everything but the 360 camera and active cruise, i bought it with 32 miles on it for $52,000 in 2019.

@@MissleT0E nice! I put a set of leveling springs(not spacers lol) from Thuren along with their front and rear track bars. Also front and rear “Octane” high clearance bumpers from Chassis Unlimited with the rigid lights. I have the S&B intake, Diablosport pulsar programmer, 37s no rub, installed the ARB twin compressor in the RAM box, did the ARB breather extension for front and rear axles, transfer case and transmission. Swapped out the factory sub with a JL Audio Sub and amp. A few other things that will slip my mind lol hrs to keep track but did everything myself in my driveway. Bought it in 2019 and put everything together in 2020, no issues with any of it, my sister is a “Jeeper” and I go out with her and her group and have never had an issue (actually pulled some of them out). @@MissleT0E aww that’s the color I wanted lol, mine is the 2019 blue, a little darker than the blue they have now. I retired from the Army a couple years ago so working on the truck keeps me entertained lol Thuren Fabrication has a few high quality parts like the track bars, springs and shocks among a few other things and they have zert fittings to grease the joints, the factory ones don’t. If you are ever trying to get an idea on how certain parts look I’m happy to send some before and after of what I have. Chassis unlimited actually had me send them pictures when I was done so they could use them as advertisement (not sure if they are still using them). But yeah, they are amazing trucks and as I was a combat medic I definitely wasn’t a mechanic and was able to do everything myself, most mods for them are pretty standard to work on. I love the truck except for a few items i find annoying
like the dial a knob trans < freaking hate it ( ZF 8 speed great trans ) expensive to service but the knob sucks
    Bilstein shocks GARBAGE !
Good Year 33s are SHIT tires !
I like the standard factory 2500 grill better.
I'm changing those items out. Except for dial a knob < wish i could.
and get a single rate Thuren front springs to level the truck , airbag the rear to get my tow cap back up to a factory 2500.and use fox 2.0's
Price hike is crazy my 2020 with all my options cost me 66k in California
