After raising 2 super African geese from goslings, I know what the male goose can do! He barley put up with me. But he had no problems going after people, horses, dogs, you name it. Highly protective of his female.❤

In Melbourne Oz they are opening up for the animals. Our gorilla enclosure is fantastic, but it's not their home is it. See how the goose continuously bows his head? That's how they "acknowledge" each other. He's trying to show that he "acknowledges" the gorilla. Try it some time. If you see a goose, bow your head to him, and he just may bow back.
They are just super territorial and protective, that's all......since so many other animals are bigger than they are, they have to constantly be on the defense. Maybe the geese had eggs in the area Barney was trying to pass through. They never know what animals are going to do, so their best offense is a good defense. They're hardly the only animals to behave that way. Bears behave that way. Gorillas CAN behave that way if they feel threatened. Humans definitely behave that way. Why are we any better? We kill and threaten our own kind all the time, as well as other animals. Why do we get a pass for it?

People forget how intelligent they are, they appreciate geese and birds the same way we do, we could easily hurt them when they run at us but we just back off. Gorilla doesn't want to hurt the geese, just watch them and that's why it backs off .

This is the same exact zoo and gorilla as the other "Gorilla vs Goose" videos. Barney basically lives in fear of these geese on a daily basis.

Barney is housed with Shango. I have not seen Shango go near the geese. He stays on the other side of the enclosure.
