Love how all the gameboy color color variations have names like “kiwi” and “atomic purple” but the teal one is just “teal”

You’re probably not in the Ambler area of Pennsylvania but if you ever are I HIGHLY recommend Classic Game Junkie. They build all theirs from spare parts and they fix your stuff for free if you buy it and something doesn’t work. I bought my GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy SP and GameBoy Advance there and has amazing service. The sound on by GBA was broken, and they fixed it for free.

The Oracle games definitely seem so underrated in the Zelda series and that's a shame, because they are both AMAZING titles no Zelda fan should miss out on!

I bought Oracle of Seasons when it came out on 3DS VC, and quickly bought Oracle of Ages after playing Seasons for a week.
Might be my favorite Zelda games.

The games you selected are some of my favourite games growing up! My first console was a Game Boy Colour, and I still have that old system, and it still works! Wario land and the Zelda Oracle games are some of my favourite games for the Game Boy and Game Boy Colour systems.Thanks for making this video!

I think you’re forgetting the VIRTUAL BOY, my personal favourite of the game boy line.
Fair enough, but the video was all-encompassing of the Game Boy line, even if the Virtual Boy was more console than handheld. Anyway, it being rarer and all I think would make it more interesting to be shown off.
Sadly it was failed because it was so failed. The red screen made it bad so they can’t see so they don’t do it anymore so it was failed

Here in Italy (where i live), around 2001, there was an orange Game Boy Color that you could win if you found an S under the cap of a SLAM orange juice bottle. I searched online, but i found nothing except for a guy selling it. There were no photos of the GBC though. I think it's pretty rare...
Edit: I searched a bit more, and i found the original SLAM Pokémon commercial. It also shows that Game Boy Color. It's orange, transparent, and has the SLAM logo on it.

I like the idea of collecting all the versions of a system, but I’m not that much of a collector so I probably won’t ever complete a collection. I’ll probably buy just my favourite colour.

You know, I had an idea for a Game Boy Classic Edition, and I think this Gameboy Classic Edition should have these features:
-Have the same saving features as the NES Classic Edition
-Have a backlit screen while still having the games in black-&-white with green coloring that the console is known for
-Have the model be shaped after the Gameboy Pocket with all different kinds of colors (or get a special original model Gameboy version which costs more, but is a great collectors item)
-Have wireless connectivity to other Gameboys for multiplayer & digital TVs to play the games on it with added color like it's a Super Gameboy
-Have a rechargeable battery that can charge through a USB cable
and these would be the games:

You know, I find it really interesting that there was a backlit gameboy in 1998, and yet none of the new versions were backlit until the GBASP, 5 years later. And even then it wasn't for another 2 years before they were truly backlit.
The obvious next step is doing a video on the DS family of systems, there's at least 10 different hardware versions in those. (DS, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, New 2DS XL, that I can name off the top of my head.)

WarioWare was my CHILDHOOD. I tried to get my hands on it again recently, but thr USPS only said it was "accepted" for 2 weeks after I ordered it. Seller gave me a refund but I'm still pissed.

Nice handheld collection. I've some JP GBAs that I'm sure you'll get eventually. I have the AGB Rockman GBA, a CIB Suicune GBA and 2 CIB Celebi GBAs. They are so beautiful man. You need them ASAP!
I bought the SpongeBob one a few years back because I found it for what I believe to be a reasonable enough deal for a 101. Unfortunately, I regret a bit that I didn't hold out for the graphite model. It's the superior color scheme of all the 101s.

I actually prefer the original front lit GBA SP, because I can turn the light off to save battery, rather than just dim it, and because I can play it outside in the sun. Because the 101 is back lit, it just glares and makes it hard to see.
I finished Yoshi's Island for the GBA around a week ago. Great game to say the least

Wow, what a coincidence. I just bought my first game boy advance today, the same day you dropped the vid. *cough cough* it's in onyx *COUGH*
I love seeing these classic game console collections. I dont have space in my home to have one of these collections so i have built a virtual collection of ROM and ISO files to run on emulators on my PC to save space and not worry about physical damage. Its nice to boot up the old games especially SNES games (my first childhood console) and keep as many as I want on a harddrive. I bought a micro PC that plugs into my TV and I have all my games sync over the cloud so I can pick up a controller and play on the couch or at my desk or on my laptop.

I had the original and clear Gameboy. Among my fondest memories was having to share the original Gameboy with my cousins in Puerto Rico (that, and the fact the screen burned,) and aside from buying the clear Gameboy bringing the system with the case to Puerto Rico (which was the last time I saw my grandparents,) and bringing the system with me regularly to school. I briefly had a red Gameboy Advance SP, sold it, and now, I have a modded NES schemed model. The interior is actually of the 101 model. Recently, I ordered a teal Gameboy Color to go with the Singer Izek.

The Gameboy Advanced Sp in pearl blue was the first to introduce me to video games in the 2000s.
My mom got items from a shop that had clothes and other items that no one wanted. My mom had put them in her truck and brought them home. Lots of people came to take the clothes. They asked her how much she sold the clothes for. She said that it was all free. In one of the bags of clothes, she found a bag.
That bag had a 1989 version Game Boy with some games. My cousin drowned the it so my aunt threw it away. This was before the “silica gel hack” or the “rice hack” that almost everyone talks about.
I got the see through purple game boy color for Christmas and was told that it was the last purple Game Boy Color that store had. I played with it a lot until we had to put it in storage.

I am so jelly now. I saw half of those old consoles at conventions and that one retro videogame shop at The Shops at Wiregrass. My mom owned that old brick Gameboy and Teris was her addiction and my dad had a teal Gameboy Color and taught me how to play Space Invaders on it. I then got my first Gameboy Advance then my Gameboy SP which was red, then upgraded to a Nintendo DS, then came the DS Lite, then DSi, 3DS and now 3DS XL. I've played a lot of videogames over the years. My one regret was not keeping them each time a new console came out and begged my mom to let me go to the nearest GameStop or EB Games to trade them in for the new console.

Even 20 years later, I keep stumbling on variants I had no idea existed. Like last year, I stumbled on the Target GBA, the red one with the Target logo on top. I never knew Target had an exclusive Gameboy Advance model.
My game boy may not be modded or be in the best condition, but it was the first console that I can call my own so I will always love it.

I have the pink game boy advance. I had one as a kid but my sister stole it and sold it. So my bf got me one off eBay. 😍 best gift ever! It’s What started my handheld console collection obsession. So happy I have one again.
I have a original blue gameboy advance and a teal gameboy color that my older cousins played as a kid. It came in a black bag that had Pokemon Red and both Gold and Silver in it. They also had a copy of Sonic & Knuckles that I got to keep.
