During our annual trip to Hatteras, North Carolina, our crew tries a homemade wake winch, watch kiters get some big air at the REAL slick, and enjoy lots of kitesurfing and winging. Laurie kites again for the first time since breaking her ankle four months ago. Спорт
Glad to hear that you are back on the water.
🙂🤙
so glad to hear that you're back on the water!
That winch is sick, the operator is very handsome and well dressed. You should get people to ride park features with it and do a tow up with the 2 line ktie. Looks like a hooot!!!
Love the dude 😎
So glad to see that you can get back on the water, and the home made winch is amazing!
Thanks! The winch was awesome :)
Congrats on being back on the water! Awesome no wind activity! Looking forward to the laser measured jump comparisons :)
Thanks ☺️ looking forward to the jumping comparisons too!
Gotta love seeing Power Fist pulling its weight! Great video, love seeing people have fun out on the water :)
YaaaY! Welcome back! Sooooo nice to see you riding again!!! We missed you!!!
Welcome back!
You are back! Congrats👏
For your light wind days, you all need to get longboards and learn to surf. OBX pretty much always has waves somewhere and they're better when there's no wind. Lots of fun!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Heck yeah! Great to see you out on the water again, must feel fantastic!!! What a place to get started again, bet the confidence is way up now.
Keep going
What a fun trip this was! That Winch definitely saved the day (many days!)
Good to see you the water again. 1 month post hernia surgery and I am back also
Awesome, that’s great news!
Great content. As always. The best of luck on your recovery.
Thanks - glad you liked it!
Happy to see you back on water 🤙
Great to see you are back with your ankle strong enough to kite again!
Greats that you are up and running again!
Had the same exact injury last November and luckily was back on the water maybe 11 weeks after the surgery.
Great to see it turned out well for you as well.
You'll see, your ankle is gonna get better continously.
Wow, back on the water 11 weeks after surgery is impressive! Hoping my recovery will continue to go as well as yours did :) thanks for sharing your experience
Nice tack, Laurie!
Thanks :)
Glad you are back on the water!
Thanks 😊
Nice to see you back. Thanks for packing down that launch for us. I think our group came in the following week.
Not sure we can take credit - the launch spot was flooded for a good portion of our trip 😄 hope you had a good stay!
Very nice, you are back on the feet and board!
Thanks Armin :)
Great Video! Outer Banks is such an awesome place. Laurie you are a real trooper kiting on your surfboard only 4 months out from your ankle fracture.
Such a great spot and trip 😊
the old guy on his USS nimitz fslling face first had me in tears, what an absolute legend. Can you please tell him I think hes an absolute legend
It's not what you think!
Incredible jumps in that crazy wind!
Some brave kiters for sure!
Congrats on your surfboard work. Your upwind transitions + footswitches are very good. im learning the upwind tack. . .and its a toughie!
Thanks :) The upwind tack is tough but you’ll get it!
Hei, glad to see you in better shape. Pls get well asap. Awaiting new videos, which are always very inspiring to me.
Thanks :) new videos coming soon!
fellow!Love it, breathtaking !adios!=)
I can't imagine getting enough air to get off the ground!
That front stall looked rough!
Hello from Siberia! Great video! What surfboard are you using? What model is this? We want to try surfboard in our swamps.
It’s a Tomo Evo FireWire HE
@@OurKiteLife Hello! Thanks for the answer.
omg you used cooking oil to lubricate your winch haha. There is a true value not far
The avocado oil worked like a charm 😎
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. I am new in the US living in Virginia. Could you share the name of the spot in OBX? Thank you
Thanks, glad you liked it. We were staying in Salvo, but pretty much anywhere from Rodanthe down to Frisco has kiteable spots
Please tell us which is the best place to rent a house for kiting in summer at Cape Hatteras? Frisco, Avon, Salvo? Thank you ++++
We don’t usually go in the summer but looking at wind statistics, most of the wind is S-SW during that time of year. Would recommend Avon or Salvo, sound side.
Hello 👋 I’m looking to buy a soul 15m or 12m size to compliment my 10 m LEI. Which size do you think would go better with the 10m LEI for lighter days ?
How much do you weigh? What size of board do you have? What do you define as lighter wind?
@@OurKiteLife 10-20 knots. 70kg twin-tip mainly and foil 10 knots or less.
@@krash2094 I'd recommend going with a 12m soul
@@OurKiteLife Thanks 👍
Totally off topic, but not sure how to connect any other way. Please review the new Sonic4. 🙏
It’s coming - just finishing the video, planning to post Saturday morning!
@@OurKiteLife 🙏 Very interested to see if they made it more stable in gusty conditions, as well as relaunching. I live in the mountains of Utah and the Souls do better in gusty conditions and have superb water relaunching.
