I love my Baby Brownings. I've got a pair of these. A 1959 model and a 1967 model. The 1967 is basically new in the pouch. I don't think it's ever been fired. I had the 1959 model completely rebuilt by PSA (Precision Small Arms - Licensed manufacturer of Baby Brownings here in the US) That 1 gets carried occasionally. The guns are far more accurate than most of us can appreciate. They're so tiny and the sites are so small they're difficult for people like me with large hands to shoot to them to their full potential. At 7-10 yards I can easily keep all 6 rounds in about 1''-2'' depending on lighting and the accuracy Gods that day. I also have a Ruger LCPII 380 that I carry and a KelTec P32 too. The gun I carry depends on how large of a gun I can carry that day. On the days where I need the smallest gun possible the nod goes to the Baby Browning. Most days though I carry a 9mm or 40 S&W
Yes you can buy a baby browning these days used of course and a plain blue one is not all that expensive but some of the engraved ones and gold plated ones are pretty expensive. Mine is just a curio piece that I have fired one time just to see if it works and it lives in the safe.
Sometimes they can be had in very good condition for $400. I've got 2 and the last 1 I bought was 3yrs ago. Bought it on Gunbroker for $350. All parts are readily available and PSA will do a total rebuild if you like. I had 1 of mine rebuilt top to bottom by them. If you're looking for a pristine example they get pricey quick. My 1967 model is in new in the pouch condition and today would go for around $700-$800
Absolutely true. The speer gold dots are crimped and functional right out of the box. Most factory ball loads need to be run through a crimp die for total eliability. Your are the only other writer that has mentioned this that II am aware of. I've found the practice necesary with the Walther P series in 32 also. The semi-rimmed cases come to a stop against the case mouth if it has no taper.

The baby browning came out during a competition to find out who could design the smallest 25 auto. Designed by Saive-the guy who came up with the Hi-Power. Wather won that one.

I'd love to get my hands on one of the PSA babies :) I agree 100%, if you have larger hands these things can be a bear to shoot. Thanks for watching!!

Just make sure to get ammo that has a decent taper crimp.
If there is too much case lip sticking out away from the bullet, it will hang up.
Good advice, Thanks for watching!!

What does the lever on the other side of the frame do? Is it an ambidexterous safety, or a trigger bar or what? What is it?
Its a trigger bar of some sort, slides back with the trigger pull. Thanks for watching!!
