But In Simmons’s case he had the hight advantage to basically get away with it. Now the script is flipped and it’s all due to mentality. These high contracts have ruined the NBA. No player should be set for life after their first full contract. If the NBA shrunk that first contract, the quality of the NBA would improve drastically.

I have a great one for you: RANDOLPH CHILDRESS - Wake Forest. When you look at his ball handling and shooting? I don't see why he never became the first Steph Curry. He DOMINATED the ACC.

Have always said this about him since LSU days: Didn't want to work hard, and didn't want to compete. Up until college, was nearly always the biggest and most athletic player on the court and never was seriously challenged. But couldn't handle not playing one-on-one, since dudes actually will guard if you have a Name and reputation. And he has simply psyched himself out of the rest. Biggest poseur the League has ever seen.

Simmons looks pretty good - he’s being matched up by taking on the opposing teams best offensive threat while putting up numbers comparable to Draymonde Green.
    He’s doing good!

The reason why he wasn't exposed before is because his fellow Australian coach Brett Brown was hiding his weakness and set plays for him which won't expose his weakness while coaching the 76ers at the beginning of his career. Even though Brett Brown is no longer coaching the 76ers, I think he's still getting pay by Simmons now. Remember, Ben Simmons father plays in the NBL and has arrangements with Brett Brown who use to has coaching jobs in the NBL league.

It’s mental for him. If I could be Ben Simmons for one game I’d drop 30 easy. Dude is avoiding layups nowadays too. He’s cooked. Idc how many shots I miss, if you constantly leave me open ima take those shots every time and literally treat the game as practice shots until I get my touch right. That’s how wide open he be; like its shoot arounds out there

We can say all we want about Ben Simmons and how he fell off, but I think it’s simple. He doesn’t want to play basketball anymore. Once his contract is up, he’s probably going to retire.

I haven't watch any BK games but if they are still letting Simmons run the point it's self sabotage. He should be used as a PF/SF/C, secondary ball handler and rim attacker in the break. In the half court put him in the dunker spot

  • @Ryderz651

What irritates me about Ben Simmons is that he doesn't care. I hate the fact that I defended him after the whole Doc Rivers situation because at the time I thought Rivers should've been fired for his comments basically throwing him under the bus. But right now, I have to say it, but dumb ass Rivers was absolutely right in his sentiments.
No one wants to pay him, he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to shoot, he's way too complacent and he's just mentally checked out and it's actually freaking sad to a degree. I want to see him succeed, because in all actuality, seeing him or any player fail isn't good for the game.

I just don’t understand why teams/himself don’t make him play as a back to the basket, low post PF/C and elite stretch 4 defender.??!! It’s just baffling how his game is still as a PG when is so obviously not that. Philly only needed him as a ball carrier because they were the worst team ever and had no one else to play guard while rebuilding but he is a really power forward and should be pulling down 15 rebounds a night
