    Beef Stew- Instant Pot
    Hey Everyone,
With all this freezing weather I thought some warm comfort food was in order. You can cook this in the Instant Pot in no time, leaving simmering all day in a crock pot or cook it on your stove. No matter which way you make it it will always taste delicious!!
    Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for sharing, just made this for myself and my husband. I put a few dumplings in and let it simmer for another 30 mins. Delicious 😋

I just made the most delicious Posole I've ever tasted last night in mine. Made some beef stew last week. It was also very good. There were no leftovers. We cleaned the "pot".

Try adding more flour to your meat before sauteeing it. Adding less water will not make the stew liquid thicker...it will just make the stew dryer. Also...you can add a little cornstarch to some hot liquid in a separate container once the stew is done, then add the mix back into the stew to thicken it.

You know I went and bought a $300 French Stoub Dutch oven and that thing stuck to the bottom and it did not cook even on the bottom not worth $25.00 I gave the thing away. I love the instant pot I love the pressure cooker or crock pot no easier way than the pressure cooker I think. You set it up you walk away and you forget it and it will cook and it will do a slow release and you can get it whenever you want, it’s hot it takes care of it for you. It does not burn it up and you cannot say that For this other Dutch oven I am not a fan of the Dutch oven. I’m sorry it was supposed to cook bread. I followed the recipe exactly that was the hardest bread I ever saw terrible bread. Be far much better off, putting it in a Pyrex dish and cooking the bread and that was the biggest rip off of a cast iron Dutch oven. Everybody needs one of these. yeah if you’re 200 years ago and you don’t have an instant pot but if you have a microwave in an air fryer in an instant pot and you have stainless steel cookware, you don’t need anything else that’s the truth. That’s for cooking and then for a mixer the KitchenAid stand mixer. You can’t beat it and then for food processor you need something decent like a Cuisinart or I like my Breville sous chef slice and dice. I really like that it works great and this will get you all around your kitchen And I do like a great blender. I use my
Blentec Blender and my Nama j2 Juicer will outfit most kitchen’s very well.

I always make mine in a dutch oven, but I'm using my pressure cooker next time. So much faster. That looks delicious!

I prefer to brown the meat first, but I agree that it comes out delicious either way.

I guess the advantage is speed? Meaning, as someone who has cooked roast beef stew for ~40 years, I'm used to just throwing everything in to our slow cooker and stirring it very hour or so. Easy as it gets. Here, there are multiple steps, but imagine it's the time-saving where the advantage is realized? Basically trying to figure out why I would cook it in our Instantpot vs our crock pot.

I do like the idea of throwing some green beans up in there. If you have never tried it before, add a few table spoons of Worcestershire sauce to the stew (typically right over the raw meat)....it gives it a little kick. :-)

Personally I think the meat is more tender too

my experence is the meat is more tender, and the process is much quicker, you don't have to brown the meat, just her choice, I just put everything in and use my insta pot and it's done in about 45 min. no stirring, but that's just my choice, I don't have time to babysit a crock pot.

I don't wanna cut it up. What's wrong with putting it in the pot.

If you allow meat to do a natural release, it is much more tender. The only time I do a quick release is for veggies or pasta. That works for me, anyway. 👍🏼
