The brake line needs to be on the outside of the UCA when reinstalling. I noticed that you made the mistake but just edited it out. At 16:40 That would have been a great time to explain that to viewers.
Good video. I did like that the brake line magically gets itself out of the control arm when it was installed incorrectly. Its nice to see we all make mistakes. :)
At 12:37 the orientation of the ball joint assembly appears to be flipped. Looking at the SPC instructions, Figure 1, it shows the SPC logo orientation facing outward towards the tire
No one is saying that they are Not adjustable. She is setting them up backwards!! Please go and read the instructions it clearly states logo out!!! She have them logo in.
Glad to hear you're happy with them, Dino! An alignment is absolutely needed after installation of these guys to make sure all of your angles are within spec. -Zach
I'd be PISSED if my fender was bent with pliers like that @ 8:46! - IT'S NOT NECESSARY. Other videos here on RUclips show them getting that bolt out without bush league bending. Cmon!
OEM parts for instance. Gmc 2500 3/4 ton brake pads and rotors on a brand new truck are very good. To get something after Markit at or above the quality you would need to probably buy Brembo breaks. Witch cost like 5 thousand dollars. Just some stuff is like that, not all stuff. Things like wheel bearings. They will last 150,000 miles then when you buy a aftermarket hub bearing it lasts 15,000 miles. I’m just trying to keep people from buying junk so the scumbag people selling the cheep parts go out of business.

This is true at least for 2nd gen, that fucked me up
Installed on my 1st gen. Logo faces out.
Came here to say this as well… they didn’t even bother to comment and correcting 👎
Is there a reason you installed the ball joint backwards? The SPC logo should be facing outward.
The ball joint is adjustable to set camber and caster. Where you set the logo on the ball joint sets your caster angle

Mechanics who wear watches while they wrench are crazy! Very good tutorial - I had to brush up my skills for tomorrow’s install.
also, youre suppposed to trash the oem bushing washer and use the SPC off set washer. maybe it's revised but mine has new offset washers.
Toyota really has a habit on making the suspension components hard to service on some models.
Just asking why would you use a Apple watch to do mechanic work 🤔
Great video just got these installed. What a difference. Imo a must to get a great alignment. Super stoked on my set up.

Do yourself a big favor and buy new bolts from Toyota and cut the old ones
Reinstalled backwards they go in without bending fender🤙🏽
But if they come loose will fall out in that direction since they are tilted down
You installed the ball joint incorrectly
They didn't show the passenger side lol. That one is even harder to do
What 600 for a 2 pieces of metal 🤣😂😅
Damn I need a lot of different tools to replace these expensive ass UCAs lol.

Idk I havnt found any videos like that. All if them have them bending the fender or editing it out
Link to a video of someone getting them out without cutting the bolt or bending the body. that small amount of bending does nothing bad.
Yea right you literally either have to cut the bolt or bend the fender to get the bolt out lmao
It’s a pinch weld dude, chill
Am I the only one that thinks it's fkin stupid u need to bend part of the body to get the bolt out or?
LoL overpriced aftermarket junk. Y’all Robin people of their money.
It's for a Tacoma, it's all overpriced.

Lol I see.
That’s hilarious.
Autozone ball joint lol
You're paying for the "engineering" some one had to design it and patented it
