I’m back !! Day 4 of The Weeknd , 3 more to go… which songs should I react to? I will pull up a poll tonight. Be darlings , a like and comment will help me a lot ❤
The weeknd left home when he was 17 and was pretty much homeless. He got involved with a lot of drugs, sex and partying. So he pretty much was homeless and made 3 mixtapes which changed r&b, this was all at the age of 19-21. You should listen to a song from one of his mixtapes to really get an understanding of his life when he was growing up
I love this song. This album came out in 2020. The whole album is a story. It’s part one of a trilogy of albums, with Dawn Fm being the second and latest installment. After Hours is the party life. Dawn FM is him in a sort of purgatory looking back on his life and trying to deal with the regret and loneliness, and the hurt he’s caused and received, as he tries to move on to the next part of his of his life. He was 21 when he released his first mixtape in 2012. Now he’s 32, so watching him grow through his music has been such an experience. 🖤 I wish you could do the whole discography or at least the whole of the After Hours and House of Balloons albums! And he is a very good guy. He’s had issues like the rest of us, but he’s always been so honest about it in his music. And we love him more for it 🖤
@@MommaTaunT I would actually love it if you watched The Weeknd: The Evolution of a Toxic Lover. It’s goes through his life and career, his music and album concepts, and just him as a person. It’s a really great video. I would extra love it if you reacted to it, but if you don’t I’d still encourage you to check it out on your own. I think you’d really appreciate it and his story 🖤
@@SparkimusPrime I promised a new artist next week and summer is ending so 6 to 7 up loads would not be realistic , but we could do more of it in the future
Abel is a kid with a troubled past he has admitted to doing drugs since the age of 12 dropped out of high school and moved out of canada to New York on his own to peruse his dream to become a singer and his first love was a stripper by the name of Valerie he explains his entire persona in the album trilogy which is basically 3 mixtapes put together house of balloons, Thursday and last echoes of silence you should react to trilogy to understand who he is and why he is the way he is
Crazy because I first heard Blinding Lights and was like WOW another Weeknd banger then I heard Heartless it was instantly my favorite bxus of how hard it goes. It's him saying I'm done with this love ish now I'm back to my heartless ways> HOUSE OF BALLOONS 🎵🎶
Please react to faith and after hours, two great songs that are connected to this song. Both songs give you an insight on the weeknds mental state since you are a mental health counselor, Im sure you will enjoy it
Just react to the whole album please The whole album have alot of statements will make u understand why makes his fans so addicted to him. And all love from Egypt 🇪🇬 ❤️
Let's see where to begin with this song. This song and Faith were my two favorite tracks off of the After Hours album but the album as a whole is kind of telling a story and within that story the music videos for the singles off the album if watched in the correct order also tell a story about this night in Las Vegas. The album After Hours came out after his EP that he released called My Dear Melancholy which is largely about a break up he had just gone through. So you are absolutely correct when you say he's using drugs and sex to fill a massive void in his heart. You mentioned the cars in the video and he's actually sponsored by Mercedes Benz now so he basically has access to so many beautiful cars for music videos. Also in the song Starboy which you reacted to earlier in the week, the final two lines of the last verse were "A hundred on the dash get me close to God, we don't pray for love, we just pray for cars." So it's safe to say the man does really love his cars. A lot of the visual theme of this and other videos is a tribute to the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. To start the song off he sets the tone that he's over the failed relationship and he's going to deal with it the way he knows best and that he "never needs a bitch he's what a bitch needs." He's back to his old ways of partying to fill a void and what better place to do it than Sin City itself. He does hint at his vulnerability a couple of times both in the chorus and in the bridge to the song. Also in the chorus he makes a reference to the song Low Life which is a song by Future that he was a feature on. Low Life was produced by Metro Boomin who just happens to be the man with him in the video and produced the beat for this song as well. I think Heartless is an overall great song on an overall great album that should've won Album of the Year or at least Album of the year for his genre. The fact that this album received 0 Grammy nominations shocked and angered a lot of people. That's about all I can think of to mention about this song so I'll just leave it at that. #XOtilweOD
And so far so good on this walkthrough of The Weeknd. I like watching people give him a chance and start coming to the realization that there's a lot more than what's a surface level with his songs.
Don't worry, you might not have an American language as you said, but that's quite alright as The Weeknd's language in music is LOVE language. As crazy as that sounds 😅 not all songs have sexual references and cussing. I went to his concert in July and he sang 3 explicit songs that caught me off guard but everyone was singing their butts off especially me😅 my hubby never heard the 3 explicit songs and my husband was looking at everyone like WTF hahahahahahaa then he looks over to me and I'm no better lmaoooo It was a night to remember and still made it home at midnight to my boys and nieces 💕
I like you are sincere and try to dig into the lyrics and Abel as a person but IMHO you are wrong in some parts. Insecure? I don't thinks so. If somebody talks about hard topics and admits he likes something like sex, it doesn't mean he is insecure, he rather means that we ....

Enjoying the Weeknd week 🙏🏼🖤
What's more great about Weeknd week, another Weeknd week🤣 I know that was corny🤣 XO
The weeknd - tears in the rain
I'm here for it! Just heard all of Kiss Land these past few nights , it's always the therapy I needed 💯🎶🎵🎶 XO
You must react to The Weeknd After Hours single with the lyrics 🔥
You definitely need to check out a artist called Dax songs called depression, life, dear god, searching for a reason
The weeknd - high for this
Yep. That's the song INTRO that's starts off the Weeknd Journey,
House of Balloons 🎶🎵🎶🎵🔥

Please react to the weeknds twenty eight music video, its from his first mixtape when he had different sound then now
Thank you , I will put it on the list
Oh boy don't hurt her now. Pure poetry, the lyrics pulled is a must for all his music. XO
Calm down! The Weeknd is just a character, Abel said it's not him, he's just acting while he sings! Nice video btw.

It’s al about that , but don’t feel the need to listen or even stay 😉
Don't call random women baby. It is cringe at best.
