So when you stopped was that both mental and physical? I feel the mental part need to stay on? For me that part staying on make me more productive and idea filled
I finally find somebody that actualy agrees with me!!!! I 've been telling co-workers for years that MULTI-TASK does not exist if you want to be efesience.
1.Stop Multitasking 2.Organize your brain (mediation/zikr/sleep, take short break) 3.organize work space (360 method, whatever you need it should be at your fingertips) 4.organize your email (get a habit to touch your email at particular time, touch it once) 5. organize your calendar 📆 ( your day should ne organized, be true to your calendar).
Love your energy and how you started focusing inside out - organizing brain, sleep, meditation, stopping multi-tasking and then physical and electronic clutters. I agree.
This video is incredible. I’m going through a tough time at present, especially with my emails and employees being very demanding. I’m excited to implement your tips. Thank you
Love these tips on how to be organized at work! I think we can always improve our work organizational skills. I like the point to "organize your brain." I know I feel a lot more organized when I get enough sleep and take my time with a healthy morning routine so that I can have a clear mind throughout my work day.
Getting a good nights sleep really does help with clarity during the day. A clear mind will definitely help keep you organized at work! Thanks for watching, cheers!
The 360 rule sounds like the most obvious thing I never realized! I'm on my way to work early today to get more organized. The job is entry level and nothing outstanding but I still want to do the best I possibly can.
Thanks Clifford! It really can help with productivity when everything has its place. There is nothing worse then spending time searching for something amongst clutter 😆 Thanks for watching, Cheers!
That can happen to anybody. Sometimes the day can become so busy that we are running back and forth just trying to keep up. It's easy on those days for our work area to get a little chaotic. Happy to hear this video was helpful. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Thanks for this great video about being more organized at work. I have found it a little more challenging these last few months with working from home instead of the office just because my work space right now is the dining room table. Trying to keep it organized when it is a multi-purpose area is a little difficult.
You got this! Working from home comes with its set of pros and cons for sure. Hope you found my video helpful in terms of having your work organized. Cheers!
Hi, one of the biggest problems I had to deal with is office layout to enable my staff to be more productive and stop the gossiping among the staff. I had one big open room for all my staff and I moved the further apart and place room dividers between them and they getting more work done and fellowship better at lunch and tea breaks.
Hi. I'm new to your channel so working my way through your content. Question: As much as we use online tools in the office, I am a paper planner and note taker. Do you have any tips, templates and ideas for project coordinators/managers managing hybrid meetings and how to capture, store, archive notes in a notebook or Filofax type planner. (before and after it gets captured to online apps communicated to the project team stakeholders)
Hi. Thanks for your question but I have more questions for you. 1-what is your purpose for storing your paper once you transferred it online? 2-how often do you go back to your paper documents 3- when you do go back, why do you do so? These questions are important to ask because it will determine the best approach for you. I do both….paper and electronic planning and note taking. So here is a rule of thumb. For items that everyone needs to access…only do electronic and store everything on a share platform like SharePoint. You can organize items in folders. You can also use OneNote for meeting notes and link it to your SharePoint as well. When you train yourself to take note immediately electronically you will save yourself tons of time. It’s worth the effort to get into this habit. If you are doing notes or task list just for yourself use any method that works best for you. If it’s paper lists etc….it’s yours to do with as you like. Both methods are fine if they make you organized and you are not spending more time re-writing stuff vs actually executing the tasks you are documenting. Cheers!
@@AdrianaGirdler Hi. Thank you for your response. That does help - and I agree, definitely a time saver. To answer your questions: 1. Not everything I write down goes online. Sometimes it's brainstorming, task lists or just additional notes during meetings or courses (for my own knowledge and understanding of topics and themes discussed.) I find I remember better if it's written down and can sometimes reference it back when I need to recall it. 2. That depends on the topics. Sometimes never, in which case I quickly disgard while others are filed. I find I prefer ring type planner set up (customizable with different sections and templates) to notebooks (not my favorite) and discard monthly what is no longer required or after a few months (sometimes longer up to a year) if needed. 3. This is more if I feel I need to remember something that was not necessarily documented in official notes or reference material based on active tasks. Never longer than a quarter (project and phase dependent) I'm fairly new in my role and even though I've done pieces of it as part of other projects and roles, my current role on the project I am on is a great learning opportunity for me. I really have enjoyed using One Note, ASANA, Smartsheets and Ms Teams but find I get intrigued by new functionality of particular systems and so am not consistent with my approach to note-taking. My written notes are always there and I don't have to think whether it's typed on One Note, Teams Chat or a word file (I battle to stick to one particular electronic format/system for meeting notes)
Thanks for sharing your techniques! This is all very useful. Being organized is definitely the best you can do for yourself! Please keep the videos coming!
Thanks for these tips on how to be more organized at work. I have found this to be a bit more challenging the last few months with working from home instead of the office since my work space is the dining room table. Finding it difficult for the space to be organized since it is a multipurpose space.
I would agree that this is probably a struggle for many. Especially those who typically worked in an office setting prior to COVID-19. At this point all you can do is the best you can with your space. Keep in mind you can still do a brain dump to keep your mind clear, clear out your email in box and maintain that and get a good nights sleep:) Thanks for watching, cheers!
My big one was the amount of sleep because I have been feeling bad because for me 6 hours of sleep is enough but I keep hearing 8! I take a short nap during my day. So I am fine. All other tips are great too. Thanks.
We all require different amounts of sleep so if you are feeling refreshed with 6 hours then that’s great! I am happy you liked the video. Thanks for watching, cheers!
I love these tips on how to be organized at work. This video will really help me take my work organizational skills to the next level. I'm going to start with cleaning my desk. Thanks!
A great place to start! Good luck with getting organized. Glad this video encouraged you to take your organizational skills to the next level. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Great tips! Thank you! My calendar has big time chunks blocked out so people don't schedule meetings. I hadn't considered the negative impact this could have to others and distrust in my calendar available times. I'm going to block out just 1.5 hours each morning for my power hour.
I get absolutely cluttered with mails at work every day (50-70 usually). The mails are mostly from clients, requesting information or giving tasks, some are adminstrative stuff, some fyi. The sheer mass keeps me from categorizing and organizing them. How do you recommend organizing my inbox in this case? I haven't really found a solution so far and would appreciate your feedback.
There are some great tool you can use within your email. my email platform is outlook and take full advantage of creating and using folders to keep my emails organized. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Great tips for being more organized at work. I'm usually pretty organized in my physical work environment but I must admit that my email gets out of control quite often. I think I could also benefit from "organizing my brain" every so often as well. Thanks for the tips - I will definitely implement some of them!
Glad it was helpful! It's so easy for emails to get out of control. Once we power down for the day they become out of sight out of mind. Good luck implementing some of these tips, you won't be disappointed that you did. Thanks for watching, cheers!
@@AdrianaGirdler Hi. I tried out some of your techniques today. It's only my second week in this position. Already saw a change for the better. Thank you again.
This was such a great video - when I learned that multitasking was actually NOT productive it changed everything! Also, I completely agree with meditation helping you. It is my non-negotiable every morning. I would love to see a video specifically on how to effectively use Gmail - I feel I could use it better Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching! Undoing the habit of multitasking is key to keeping productivity and good quality work high. So glad that changed everything for you! Great to hear you are taking the time to meditate, it’s a wonderful way to clear the mind and set yourself up for a successful day. I will add your video idea to our list:) Stay well, cheers!
Some of these tips are great, but I don't recommend deleting emails out of your inbox unless it is junk. Most emails don't take up a lot of room and unless you are downloading and storing them all (and that's not necessary), you should hang on to communications as long as possible. Sincerely, an organized paralegal who had to watch this as an assignment. Now I understand (if this is a common tip) why we've lamented our clients deleting emails that were needed/important. DON'T DELETE YOUR EMAILS.
Hi and thanks for watching. I agree in a legal situation such as lawyers and paralegals that it is really important that you, along with your clients keep or archive emails that pertain to each case. Outside of that, not every email that comes into your in box, junk or other wise needs to be kept, but that is up to each individual. Again, thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. Cheers!
Meditation is misleading. Paying bills. Shuffling kids schedules. Family entertainment. You can get lost in thinking stuff or empty thoughts. Spending time forming a relationship with our Creator, God... the one who formed you in the womb and knows you by name... is most effective. Singing along with great worship music.

I'm Afraid that after watching 1.29 from your video about multi-tasking is not true. Human brain is concepted already to do multi-tasking. Because of the majority didn't developed that, multi-tasking is not a myth! Example: You can listen music in your car and drive in the same time? Isn't that multi-tasking already? Because of these bounderies the brain get stucked and believed itself when you are saying is not possible and drop the unknown explorer. One thing is true! Focusing on one task at the time is the most efficient way to succed!
These days, at least in India, companies are emphasizing the importance of multi-tasking in the job description while applying for a job, they state it as a requirement

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching. Cheers.
LOL, not the organization I want.
Is this the new way of talking? With the head and body bouncing non stop. Lol it seems to be trending. It comes off as over selling
These days, at least in India, companies are emphasizing the importance of multi-tasking in the job description while applying for a job, they state it as a requirement
