I feel like as a solo travel content creator I'm spending so much time thinking about all of these exact things (planning, analytics, goals, memberships, all that) so hearing you talk through all your stats, improvements, strategy, etc. was actually so nice. I don't know about you, but I spend like half of my time thinking about it, and yet I never get to hear anyone else's perspective. Very cool, congrats on the improved Revenue! So nice to hear this from another travel content creator! The strategy really does consume so much of our brain space. It can be a bit exhausting, and I can only imagine how consuming it can become when you're doing it solo! We've been following you for the past 2 years and the thing that helps you most is when you focus more on the location and logistics than on yourselves.
We’ve been watching your videos from the very beginning, and while I love the idea of you doing shorts, I wish they were something more than just clips from your longer videos. If you watch the longer videos, it’s just redundant. I’d love it if you would create something special that’s unique from your longer videos for your shorts.

We filmed so much vertical content in Japan and Korea in hopes of making proper shorts, and then the time commitment to edit it all was just too much. We would love to make this change one day, so thank you for letting us know you'd like it too!
Congratulations on a great 2024!! Hopefully with the transition from a destination-based audience to long-term viewers, your views to subscribers ratio will improve. I really enjoyed the Mongolia series as it’s a destination most travel RUclipsrs don’t cover, especially because you did both a guided tour and your own camping adventures. If you were to have your own group trips, it’s probably best to start with a trip in a country you’re intimately familiar with and one that is affordable in order to offer the best value. This way, it’s likely to be more successful and you can branch out into more exciting destinations for future group trips.

My girlfriend and I have been watching you guys for a while. You guys are among our favourite travel RUclipsrs to watch every weekend. My favourite videos are the BTS of travel. Being from Canada it helps to see what others are using while traveling (Credit cards, wise card, apps, travel insurance, how much it costs for a year, etc) and what they are bringing along for longer adventures. Even if they dont do well views wise, just know they are truly appreciated. A video I would like to see is how you guys plan your videos (shots, scripts (if you use any), edit, etc) The group trip sounds like a great idea! How long were you guys thinking it would be? 1-2 weeks or longer? Keep up the great work! All the best in 2025 you guys should be able to reach your 100k goal!

Yeah, we follow them as well. I thought it would be interesting to see how different RUclips Travelers plan their videos. Yeah I think 2 weeks/ 10 days is a good length to start especially it being a first time to travel with a group. Better to ease in to it than to go hard straight from the beginning lol. I think Southeast Asia may be the best place to start since it’s relatively cheap to go around.

How about testing out the group idea by doing some short events during your Europe trip? I'm thinking there's probably a lot of viewers in Europe or people who come to Europe or can come to Europe relatively easily for shorter events and would be interested to come together, meet up and have some interesting experiences together/deepen the sense of community around the channel.
I've really enjoyed your packing videos and found them really useful. I know I've said before that I'm an owner of a heroclip, sea2 summit toiletry bag and a make up removing face cloth from you both, although my washing is with an Allurette Scrubba and possibly a different brand of washing line! Nicole and I both own the Sierra dress, although I think I'm still more of a fan of wool, alpaca and cashmere than you both! I think those videos along with the digital nomad ones are really useful. I'm a frequent short traveller so I'm always looking for tips and ideas that I can adapt, and you've definitely given me some great ideas.

Would love to join you for a group trip, maybe some place that like an African Safari or places that you feel more comfortable travelling in a group then solo, such as Petra, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, or Central Asia.

Haha great question! We did it once, then we realized it's a big hassle and we don't love it 😂 With all the stuff we have in the car at all times, it just became a bit too tough so we've given up on it for now lol
I think that is because only people from the country you are currently visiting are most likely to watch your videos, there are some countries that will watch more, but have a lower population. I’m saying this because I’m a viewer and once the RUclipsrs I like leave my country I’m no longer interested in their channels.
Yes thats exactly right. We will often get people viewing our videos who are from the country we're in, but once we leave their country they don't watch anymore. It's not a very sustainable way to have a RUclips channel, so we're trying to avoid that
All the best for 2025. TBH, I rarely watched your South American travels as it didn’t interest me as much as your Asian travels especially the Philippines. May I suggest focusing on Canada from east to west, north to south for 2025.

How about testing out the group idea by doing some short events during your Europe trip? I'm thinking there's probably a lot of viewers in Europe or people who come to Europe or can come to Europe relatively easily for shorter events and would be interested to come together, meet up and have some interesting experiences together/deepen the sense of community around the channel.
I've really enjoyed your packing videos and found them really useful. I know I've said before that I'm an owner of a heroclip, sea2 summit toiletry bag and a make up removing face cloth from you both, although my washing is with an Allurette Scrubba and possibly a different brand of washing line! Nicole and I both own the Sierra dress, although I think I'm still more of a fan of wool, alpaca and cashmere than you both!
I think those videos along with the digital nomad ones are really useful. I'm a frequent short traveller so I'm always looking for tips and ideas that I can adapt, and you've definitely given me some great ideas.

All the countries you mentioned would be incredible. We have also thought about Pakistan as its #1 on my (Nicole) bucket list. I think it could be pretty wicked too!! Haha great question! We did it once, then we realized it's a big hassle and we don't love it 😂 With all the stuff we have in the car at all times, it just became a bit too tough so we've given up on it for now lol

I think that is because only people from the country you are currently visiting are most likely to watch your videos, there are some countries that will watch more, but have a lower population.
I’m saying this because I’m a viewer and once the RUclipsrs I like leave my country I’m no longer interested in their channels.
Yes thats exactly right. We will often get people viewing our videos who are from the country we're in, but once we leave their country they don't watch anymore. It's not a very sustainable way to have a RUclips channel, so we're trying to avoid that
All the best for 2025. TBH, I rarely watched your South American travels as it didn’t interest me as much as your Asian travels especially the Philippines. May I suggest focusing on Canada from east to west, north to south for 2025.
Great ideas! We would LOVE to do a massive Canadian road trip one day. Weather and costs are the biggest factor, but we are definitely interested in making it happen one day. Thanks for the idea!
