Those server power supplies can sell for $60-$70 in some circles because they provide 12V @ 40-50a, people use them as bench power supplies. Obviously model dependent, and normally takes a resistor or bridge wire to constantly power them on and generally people solder connectors to allow quick use.

Hey Ben. enjoy your channel. Here in the States, there is always a brisk trade in those power supplies... they are really useful as bench top supplies, and the RC community loves them for home built charging stations... just a thought for you, since you have so many of them now 🙂. Anyway, cheers from frozen Wisconsin, USA.

Love the videos Ben, but my OCD is going wild. Please get a screws bucket and chuck all the screws in. Would be a laugh to see how full it gets at the end of the year.
Plus, have you thought about mini wheely bins, to use and fill up as you go. It would save loads of time sorting out the parts when they are in a heap. Then just dump them into the bigger ones you have.
Keep up the great work and hope the new year adversing brings even more great content 👍 Hello from the UK 🇬🇧

They are supermicro servers. Because they are usually cheaper they are popular with home users, these ones are too old though. It is usually worth selling parts like power supplies since they are more difficult to get than Dell or HP.

I would have to compete with my competition in a bid. We would also have to park them out and resell to make any money. Scrapping is only a last step when something has no value otherwise.

For big businesses they are part there prime.... But for a home server or family businesses, they are still more powerful than any consumer PC.
