I just wanna point out the difference between postpartum depression and postpartum “baby blues.” Most moms experience postpartum "baby blues" after birth which are symptoms like: mood swings, crying spells, anxiety and increased difficulty sleeping. Baby blues typically begin within the first 2-3 days after delivery, and may last for up to 2 weeks. This is NORMAL! stressful, but normal. Postpartum depression is commonly mistaken for baby blues but the sign and symptoms are *more intense and last longer, and can interfere with your ability to care for your baby and complete daily tasks.* This is not normal and you should definitely reach out and get help! Some signs and symptoms of PPD are: - Depressed mood or severe mood swings - Excessive crying - Difficulty bonding with your baby - Withdrawing from family and friends - Loss of appetite or eating much more than usual - Insomnia or sleeping too much - Overwhelming fatigue or loss of energy - Reduced interest/pleasure in activities you used to enjoy - Intense irritability and anger

Stick to my healthy diet ( aka just eating what I got at the house) at least until the weekend.

I’m glad you talked about postpartum depression because like you said a lot of people don’t talk about it. I’m actually a maternal mental health therapist and it’s way more common than people think. McKenna you’re helping yourself so much by continuing to incorporate things into your day that you enjoyed doing before getting pregnant like your baths. Keep up the great work!

@@debratoto6356 It isn't however having a support system plays a key factor. If you're a single mom to 1 or 2 + kids it will be hell but if you have a consistent support group and loving spouse it'll make motherhood enjoyable.

I had the same experience with my milk slowing down getting 3-4 oz . I meal prepped every Sunday so I could eat 4 meals a day and my supply went up up. I wasn’t eating enough. I love that you are still trying and not beating yourself up about it. I always enjoy your vlogs💙
You are such an amazing mother!!!! The body odor postpartum is so strong because your smell helps the baby know where you are. This is true of most mammals. Your extra stink is so baby knows where you are and can snuggle closer. This is also why a mother can wrap her baby in a shirt she had on when maybe stepping out and baby is with dad and it helps to keep baby calm. Motherhood is so amazing and you are a superhero!!!!

My baby is 2weeks now and am single mom with 3 kids ,twin boys & new born baby girl am now dealing with postpartum depression it’s not so easy but am managing . thank you fr sharing this it’s really helping many of us in very new journey of being single mother I believe i’ll make it 💪🏻
4 weeks is when your milk usually regulates. 5 oz is the standard amount to pump for the remainder of your breastfeeding journey, whether that be 2.5 oz from each boob or 3 from one side and 2 from the other. A breastfed baby will never more than 4-5 oz no matter how old they get, because the milk composition changes for your baby as they age. A lot of moms see their supply drop around 3-4 weeks and get scared or discouraged although that’s completely normal for most breastfeeding moms. And since you’re mimicking cluster feeding and natural tendencies a baby would have at the breast, you will continue to have success going forward. Pumping is soooo exhausting although it’s so rewarding to know you’re feeding your baby with your own magical milk. As we can all see and would tell you, you are doing great!!!

I loved this vlog! I'm a month and few weeks into having my baby girl! I enjoy following your vlog for tips, ideas, and just pure relaxation during pumping or feeding. I drink mother's milk tea from whole foods, cooked apricots in my oatmeal, drink no less than 60-90 ounces of water/coconut water, eat dark leafy greens to keep up milk supply. I started drinking a full can of coconut milk in my strawberry smoothies for hair skin and nails. I want to try the supplement you ordered. Thank you for your vlogs!

Watching this is so emotional for me 😩🥹! You’re sooo strong and inspiring ! My daughter is almost 5 months and I’ve been going thru it with postpartum depression ! It’s hard af when you don’t have an appetite and force yourself to eat or drink just to produce milk. Sometimes I’ll even be so down i just cluster feed my Damn self 🙇🏾♀️ I produce enough to feed her but didn’t make it past 3 months with my pumping schedule cause she would not adjust to any nipple I was giving her; i tried 4 different kinds and just gave up. I really wanna try to pump more to at least save my milk for when she is more willing to take a bottle so this really pushed me to start again.
I am late to the game here but tbh thank you for this. I’m 20 weeks along with my first and I’ve had anxiety on what things are gonna be like. I’m soaking up all the recommendations and feel more at ease and excited. Your baby is super precious and I can’t wait to see my little bit 😊

Okay listen, I know this is going to sound weird but hear me out. For the baby acne after you cleanse his face use some droplets of breastmilk (with clean hands of course) and give him a breastmilk facial. The breast milk has so many nutrients and healing properties in it. Trust me it will WORK! My daughter had terrible skin after she was born and I would cry (mostly cause of hormones) but I didn't even want to take pictures of her because it was that bad and the "breast milk facials" cleared it right up. You can also rub the breast milk on your nipples instead of the lanolin because it will also help with redness, sensitivity and peeling. You're doing a fantastic job lovely, I am so proud of you momma and how knowledgeable and diligent you are!! ❤️
31 weeks pregnant with my second baby and so excited but also nervous for the transition! But Your videos definitely help me feel more calm and confident about the transition and they are relaxing since I’m to the point where sleep is a little hard to get these days. 😂 you’re gorgeous and you have such an adorable baby 🫶🏽

You are such an amazing mother!!!! The body odor postpartum is so strong because your smell helps the baby know where you are. This is true of most mammals. Your extra stink is so baby knows where you are and can snuggle closer. This is also why a mother can wrap her baby in a shirt she had on when maybe stepping out and baby is with dad and it helps to keep baby calm. Motherhood is so amazing and you are a superhero!!!!

My baby is 2weeks now and am single mom with 3 kids ,twin boys & new born baby girl am now dealing with postpartum depression it’s not so easy but am managing . thank you fr sharing this it’s really helping many of us in very new journey of being single mother I believe i’ll make it 💪🏻
4 weeks is when your milk usually regulates. 5 oz is the standard amount to pump for the remainder of your breastfeeding journey, whether that be 2.5 oz from each boob or 3 from one side and 2 from the other. A breastfed baby will never more than 4-5 oz no matter how old they get, because the milk composition changes for your baby as they age. A lot of moms see their supply drop around 3-4 weeks and get scared or discouraged although that’s completely normal for most breastfeeding moms. And since you’re mimicking cluster feeding and natural tendencies a baby would have at the breast, you will continue to have success going forward. Pumping is soooo exhausting although it’s so rewarding to know you’re feeding your baby with your own magical milk. As we can all see and would tell you, you are doing great!!!

I loved this vlog! I'm a month and few weeks into having my baby girl! I enjoy following your vlog for tips, ideas, and just pure relaxation during pumping or feeding. I drink mother's milk tea from whole foods, cooked apricots in my oatmeal, drink no less than 60-90 ounces of water/coconut water, eat dark leafy greens to keep up milk supply. I started drinking a full can of coconut milk in my strawberry smoothies for hair skin and nails.

Also I just want to say I breastfed my 4 kids and I found out that if u pump in the evening or in the middle of the night to label it bcuz something in the evening pump and night time milk it can help the baby sleep longer .. idk if I’m making sense lol but google it bcuz it was a game changer for my husband and I
Watching this is so emotional for me 😩🥹! You’re sooo strong and inspiring ! My daughter is almost 5 months and I’ve been going thru it with postpartum depression ! It’s hard af when you don’t have an appetite and force yourself to eat or drink just to produce milk. Sometimes I’ll even be so down i just cluster feed my Damn self 🙇🏾♀️ I produce enough to feed her but didn’t make it past 3 months with my pumping schedule cause she would not adjust to any nipple I was giving her; i tried 4 different kinds and just gave up. I really wanna try to pump more to at least save my milk for when she is more willing to take a bottle so this really pushed me to start again.
I am late to the game here but tbh thank you for this. I’m 20 weeks along with my first and I’ve had anxiety on what things are gonna be like. I’m soaking up all the recommendations and feel more at ease and excited. Your baby is super precious and I can’t wait to see my little bit 😊

Okay listen, I know this is going to sound weird but hear me out. For the baby acne after you cleanse his face use some droplets of breastmilk (with clean hands of course) and give him a breastmilk facial. The breast milk has so many nutrients and healing properties in it. Trust me it will WORK! My daughter had terrible skin after she was born and I would cry (mostly cause of hormones) but I didn't even want to take pictures of her because it was that bad and the "breast milk facials" cleared it right up. You can also rub the breast milk on your nipples instead of the lanolin because it will also help with redness, sensitivity and peeling.

I’m pregnant with my 5th child, due august 25th in 3wks and I can’t wait to see my daughter when she gets here. I’m just not ready for the tired nights & mornings. 3 in school and a 1yr old still at home with a newborn is going to be hectic for me but it’s all worth it to me as well.
