- Makita HS301DZ is the machine only model (excluding battery) This review applies to all model names starting with HS301D
I need a power circular saw but my workspace is very limited that a table saw cannot fit. So Makita HS301D is one good option. It is not pricy. It is small, comfortable, precise, and not very noisy.
Additionally, I can carry it to the local hardware store to cut a big piece of timber or panel into smaller ones in order to fit into my car effortlessly.

First class, no nonsense review - thanks! Just the tool for my needs as well.
Bravo! This is the best review I watched for this saw. Thanks!
Safer to take the battery out when adjusting the saw
Great video, just the music was a bit tad too loud. Thanks!
Musak was too loud. We don't need a piano sonata. Would like to see how easy it is to change the blade. Good info with the deeper cuts reducing tear-out.
Hey which tool would you recommend to cut and install hardwood flooring (22mm thick) over joist ? Would this saw be enough ? Thank you
Great video, just the music was a bit tad too loud. Thanks!
thanks for sharing it, now I can easily buy one for myself 🙏
Memang ok di kelas nya
if you roll the tape really hard so it sticks well, precut a little and then full. It will give you the best results
Nice setup. We like to do some woodwork, but don't do it often. There are so many things in life waiting for us to do. We do small projects only and do not need a table saw anyway.
Please upload more videos when have time.
Where did you get the dust extraction attachment?
it is made out of 3D print...
I also have this one for small and easy cut. For large cut I use Makita SP 6000.
Good choice!
I bought th I s for cutting I ng red ceader shakes because the old 9 volt "pizza cutters" worked so well. I was disappointed with this saw. I believe it I only turns out 1500 rpm. Something to consider. My 18 volt Milwaukie saw saw is 3000 rpm. Corded saw saw I have is 3500rpm. Noticeable difference in performance. Just my experience. I'm finding that I need to pay more attention those numbers when shopping for tools.
Thank you for this! Does anyone know, would I be able to use this with the 10.8v cxt batteries?
I also do some woodworking in my apartment. What vacuum cleaner do you use?
Nice video, like your style. watched as i was thinking of buying one.
Where you bought the dust adaptor ?
I print it with a 3D printer :p
Home depot has this saw on sale for $99 with 2 batteries and charger. Thank you for this video. I'm definitely picking one up!
Can you buy spare blades easy enough
Does this do plunge cuts?
What is the arbor size?
You know a table saw with an induction motor is no louder than this saw
But it's way bigger...
Anyone know if they make an 18v battery model in this.
I don't think you're supposed to use 18v batteries on a 12v tool. The better option is to get the 4.0 ah version of the 12v. Longer lasting and a bit more power.
Great video, thanks man.
That’s nice.
Only Makita 👍
What dust nozzle attachment did you use ? Can’t seem to have any information from manufacturer
Look up the saw on Amazon. A person wrote a review. He had to order from Canadaian Makita. (The attachment isn't available in U.S. )And it needed a M4 Phillips head screw. Hope this helps.
The dust nozzle is too small for my vacuum cleaner, so I 3D printed one adapter to the nozzle.
Can you use the 18V battery for this?
no. Maximum 12 v.
thank for the review. nice
Thanks for watching!
can this be used to cut metal?
yes, but need to change the blade.
@@SilentWood thank you. will any 85mm metal blade will do? thanks again
STOP STOP STOP THE CRAPPY NOISE
Wow, hands down the best video on this saw! thank u sir!
