Madeira trip (4K) by DJI Pocket 2
Просмотров 7563 года назад
A wonderful one week trip to Madeira in November. All the footage are captured from DJI Pocket 2, edited in Premiere Pro. It is my first time using this device for a long trip. The result was OK. The timelapse was a little bit disappointing because it doesn't support 4K. Hope you like it ;)
DJI Pocket 2 on Sorlampi Natrual Trail, Espoo Finland

Post-editing on Premiere Rush. It is my first time using Rush, which is a much simpler version of Pro. I like it, faster, smoother. It saves time and is good enough for this kind of small footage, which doesn't need very editing. If you already know some basics of Premiere Pro, you already can use Rush right away.
DJI Pocket 2 testing shoot on Lehtisaari, Helsinki Finland
Просмотров 1363 года назад
I just bought a DJI packet 2 and run for a short testing shoot on this sunny day. After post-editing with Premiere Pro, the video came out not so bad. I still need lots of practice on filming. I would say it is a good device for Vlog. The only thing I am not satisfied with the pocket 2 is the pale sky when shooting people or any darker foreground, and the bright colour is so easy to get overexp...
A Simple Router Bit Box
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.3 года назад
I need a small storage box for some of my router bits which were bought separately. (All my rest router bits come with set boxes.) So here I designed and made a simple one. It is quick and easy. Hope you find it useful.
Dovetail router / trimmer jigs
Просмотров 9 тыс.3 года назад
These simple jigs are designed for making dovetail joints with router/trimmer, making use of a dovetail cutter bit and a straight profile cutter bit. You can make dovetail joints fast, easily and precisely. I made it with some scrap wood. My dovetail cutter is 20mm deep, so the maximum width of the pinboard is 20mm, and my profile cutter is 25mm deep, so the maximum width of the tailboard is 25...
Tripod mounted DSLR camera slider
Просмотров 3494 года назад
I need a simple slider for video shooting. My camera is Sony A7ii and the main lens is SONY FE 55MM F/1.8 ZA. After watching several options on youtube, I decided to design my own. One challenge is to make it working on my carbon tripod Baibian FM-258C, so it should not be too long and heavy. Another challenge is the stability. I used velcro against aluminum profiles so that the most friction t...

Wall mounted wooden magnet toolbar
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.4 года назад
My tiny workshop is part of the study room. I need to build some shelves to place my most used tools, but I don't want to fill the whole wall with tools and drill too many holes on the wall, so I came out with this idea. The toolbar is clean and simple, integrated with a shallow shelf and a magnet bar. The magnets are hidden inside the wood. I placed the chisels, saws, and rulers permanently th...
JUUMA low angle jack plane unboxing and quick testing
Просмотров 10 тыс.4 года назад
I need a low angle jack plane but don't want to spend too much money. JUMMA is a good option because it not pricy comparing to those top brands while keeping relatively high quality. www.fine-tools.com/juuma-planes.html
Makita HS301D CXT 85mm Cordless Circular Saw unboxing and quick testing + how to reduce tear-out
Просмотров 78 тыс.4 года назад
Makita HS301DZ is the machine only model (excluding battery) This review applies to all model names starting with HS301D I need a power circular saw but my workspace is very limited that a table saw cannot fit. So Makita HS301D is one good option. It is not pricy. It is small, comfortable, precise, and not very noisy. Additionally, I can carry it to the local hardware store to cut a big piece o...
Hey which tool would you recommend to cut and install hardwood flooring (22mm thick) over joist ? Would this saw be enough ? Thank you
lol, that piano
Where to buy it?
Very nice - but i confess that the risk of aharp tools falling would put me off relying purely on magnet holders (especially with children in my house). Oh, and liked the Chopin.
Thank you for this! Does anyone know, would I be able to use this with the 10.8v cxt batteries?
Nice video, like your style. watched as i was thinking of buying one.
I also do some woodworking in my apartment. What vacuum cleaner do you use?
Does this do plunge cuts?
if you roll the tape really hard so it sticks well, precut a little and then full. It will give you the best results
I bought th I s for cutting I ng red ceader shakes because the old 9 volt "pizza cutters" worked so well. I was disappointed with this saw. I believe it I only turns out 1500 rpm. Something to consider. My 18 volt Milwaukie saw saw is 3000 rpm. Corded saw saw I have is 3500rpm. Noticeable difference in performance. Just my experience. I'm finding that I need to pay more attention those numbers when shopping for tools.
👍 很棒的设计
Memang ok di kelas nya
Anyone know if they make an 18v battery model in this.
I don't think you're supposed to use 18v batteries on a 12v tool. The better option is to get the 4.0 ah version of the 12v. Longer lasting and a bit more power.
Where did you get the dust extraction attachment?
it is made out of 3D print...
Beautiful.
5👍✅Good upload 👌 👍 greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you! Cheers!
Very beautiful, elegant and precise work. Congratulations.
Beautiful, clean, simple project!
can this be used to cut metal?
yes, but need to change the blade.
@@SilentWood thank you. will any 85mm metal blade will do? thanks again
Wonderful! Are there plans available?
Can you use the 18V battery for this?
no. Maximum 12 v.
I like it.
Great design! Before clicking play button, I thought you are using Ikea kitchen magnet bar behind the wood~ But truly your design cost much less.
Good virtual tour with nice device, DJI pocket2! I have this device as well, but never filmed such a great footage! Appreciate your nice work!
Thanks you, I am glad you like it :)
If you are planning oak against the grain, you will not find a plane that will have no tear out.
I was able to do it once with a nameless (literally has no markings except "NO. 4" on it anywhere, and the blade advance wheel works opposite most others - anticlockwise advances, clockwise retracts) smoothing plane set to take the thinnest shavings I could possibly manage. I work with a lot of really not great lumber from my job (building pallets), so I have to deal with all sorts of crazy stuff, like core lumber, knotty oak (knotty oak is miserable to plane honestly), "maple but just kidding its actually half maple half hemlock and half who even knows or cares"... and some pieces that are surprisingly really nice pieces of lumber once they dry. It's a lot of work, but it's free hardwood. But anyways I encounter a lot of situations where I'm forced to do weird things like plane against the grain, or sometimes I'll just drill a knot down a tiny bit with a forstner so that it's lower than the rest of the board and doesn't get in the way of planing it, or you can soften weird grain/knots with mineral spirits.... I hate dealing with crappy lumber, but secretly I love it.
Nice! Did you use any filter for all your shots?
No, I didn't. But I am concidering the gradient filter :)
STOP STOP STOP THE CRAPPY NOISE
una belleza de herramienta, saludos.
I bought same luban low angle 62 plane good quality but i dint like so much using to adjust not easy and making tear out flat surface than i bought 5 1/2 luban jack plane 60 mm blade heavy weight everyting much more easy to use general purpose. I am very happy. Recomend who wanna buy plane.
thanks for sharing it, now I can easily buy one for myself 🙏
Can you buy spare blades easy enough
The lapping of the back of the blade should be done before any bevel work.
Safer to take the battery out when adjusting the saw
First class, no nonsense review - thanks! Just the tool for my needs as well.
That’s nice.
What dust nozzle attachment did you use ? Can’t seem to have any information from manufacturer
Look up the saw on Amazon. A person wrote a review. He had to order from Canadaian Makita. (The attachment isn't available in U.S. )And it needed a M4 Phillips head screw. Hope this helps.
The dust nozzle is too small for my vacuum cleaner, so I 3D printed one adapter to the nozzle.
Finaly i can hear some music.
You were planning that oak against the grain. Going with the grain would make it much easier. Plane looks ok for the price.
Nice work

哇 真棒👍 你太低调啦 哈哈
Only Makita 👍
Remember that in this kind of plane when you add micro bevel you change the cutting angle. With 30 deg it is almost the same as standard bevel down planes, it is not low angle anymore. Also looks like you struggle with the oak. Was it sharp enough? Maybe blade was not flat? With new plane that is not high end model it is good idea to check flatness of sole and blade. Also, some wax on sole helps with friction. I learned that it has norris side adjustment from this video, but more details about blade, sole and mouth closing mechanism would be great. Thank you and cheers!
The low angle is a reference to the angle of the blade itself (or the blade bedding). Add that together with the angle of the cut and you get your final cutting angle. For example 12+25 = 37 degree cutting angle
Thank you for your advice :)
What is the arbor size?
Wow, hands down the best video on this saw! thank u sir!
Very good design! Beautiful and functional results!
Where you bought the dust adaptor ?
I print it with a 3D printer :p
Love your videos!
Nicely shot, relaxing yet highly instructional video. I'm just starting out and this is an ideal project. Please make more videos!
Great video, just the music was a bit tad too loud. Thanks!
